  1. Sod that, they shouldn't do fastrack at all on offpeak days. How about doing the simple thing of having reduced hotel prices during that period? Oh wait, they already do.Very miffed about these opening hours, really hope they don't last.
  2. Wow, knew they were cutting them, but not to this extent.Weekends are benefitting by being open longer throughout the majority of the season. But that cut is... wow. Why on earth would anyone travel far to visit on a weekday?!
  3. Don't put air in capitals.[Doing a typical response we see when we type swarmy or thorpey in lowercase ]
  4. Is it just me noticing a slight difference in Les?
  5. Hey, I said navigate AROUND these things, at least they don't stand in the way.... .I also think they're poo.
  6. I still think Charlie and TCF's the best.
  7. Least towers has billions of signposts pointing you to lands, and you can use the map to work out what's there.Thorpe has... like no signposts, and no lands anyway. But, you can probably see where you wanna go and navigate yourself around the various empty buildings (Voyagers), pieces of **** (Storm Surge) or empty events areas (Arena) to get there.
  8. I'll opt to stay in my flat. It's easier than all this age restriction stuff .Travelodges are a good idea - Uttox has one, and you can get the towers bus... but the lodge is awful. There's far, far, nicer ones at Ashbourne, Derby and somewhere else close if people drive.
  9. ^ Was just about to post that picture as well. Just seeing people on the ride gets me excited!

Rupert Goodwins, Editor of the technology website, ZD Net UK: "Unless you are a big Apple fan it will look like any other iPad."Woo for Apple.
  11. Saw the map in person the other day, don't think the real one has ride logos (apart from new rides).
  12. Luckily (or unluckily?) thorpe doesn't generally find much during routine maintenance/restoration work.
  13. Hopefully we'll have some decent merchandise.I'm so glad we're getting it nowadays than a few years ago. Hell, towers even sell mini Nemesis Monsters. God knows who buys them, but if they're willing to stock that stuff, then we could look to see some very good stuff indeed
  14. I would. They're all too teasery with cheap awfulness with the stupid moving text.Hopefully we'll see something actually professional without using the same god damn sounds every single advert.Oh and TPKabz, first park track? Are we on about thorpe? Or shall we look to chessington and alton who actively released their music in the 90s?
  15. True, though the point made in mind was reducing car parking capacity. Something towers actively like to do!Then again, it's always surprised me as to why towers had such a stupidly massive carpark to start off with, and that they don't need one of that size anymore.
  16. Better tell towers, who keep invading car parking space with hotels, golf, Air, and then future plans of expansion using the Air carpark...
  17. Ricky obviously doesn't know his Legolands. There's a Basic Legoland AP which has August completely restricted, along with other dates. This is what he's on about. As for Merlin Magic Making. Although it's the change of name from Property (god knows how studios fitted into property), it's a change of way. Swarm, and particarly Sub-Terra & Krake, are the first of the Magic Making attractions. It's been relayed quite a lot from these people that these are new ways of creating and running rides. If they are successful, and the general public enjoy it, then they'll create more of these attractions. Think very low-scale Tower of Terror style way.
  18. Woo, accurate representations appearing on the maps! How wonderful!
  19. So... what did he wear in the end?
  20. Finally has a fulltime job, of which can be considered rather cool?
  21. Ahh good fun watching those adverts again. Always loved the tussauds adverts of the early 00s. They were literally fantastic.

    Video Games.

It's purely to do with Game, and their business going down the swanny, not EA.Was trying to find the articles posted in November/December about Game, but cannot locate. But it mentions it in this article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/17210489And also here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-16868265
  23. Seriously? Is that the advert in the cinema?Christ. That's something I'd expect on facebook and youtube, but not in the cinema. Feels, wrong to me..

^ It's not game shooting themselves in the foot. It's that they cannot get credit insurance, so those suppliers are unwilling to provide.Essentially exactly what Woolworths had on them. If they can't sort this out fast, it'll be a matter of time til Game gets the plug pulled on it.
  25. Look at companies similar to Consign? Consign deal with all the electrical work for B&M, for instance, and are the ones who come and do anything relating to their systems at the parks.
