  1. Wow, they've actually done something. That's blown my expectations away.
  2. Oh god, I'm going nowhere near that sign.(Not cos of mer, cos I hate being related so openly to a geeky forum)
  3. Londoners get far more than the rest of the country anyway, god knows why the most densely populated place in the entire of the UK runs its buses with a subsidy when outside of London, where arguably the bus is far more important, they get none.
  4. Yeah it looks awful. But I kind of understand where they're coming from. Instead of usual bland testimonials of "This ride was fun, and I recommend 100%" or whatever.
  5. Gorgeous bus though - used for more than just journeys, but to showcase London to the world (again).Who cares if its broken down, what new things work perfectly from the word go? Especially when some of the most testing new things end up being the most reliable eventually!
  6. Well if you want to be picky about it, then actually you probably would see it on Journey2 in the evenings. As it's not branded as in the kids timings. But for the overwhelming majority of films you're gonna end up seeing it, if they're advertising through that agency.
  7. But you can roll it in glitter
  8. I was in conversation with Semantic over the same stuff about thorpe website years ago, and they stated they keep it the same because it's got a sense of realism about it. People who post cannot spell or cannot use grammar properly, and are usually overexcited and they like to just keep it like that.
  9. Doesn't really matter what the film is - it depends who the advertising is provided by.I wanna know if DCM will get the adverts - if so, it'll be epic to see it in my cinema.
  10. And is same as my sister. Wow, she'll be impressed to share with AstroDan!What would the park gain out of adding theming? My god, dunno. Ask a park which invests money into upkeep of its attractions or add theming to their existing stuff.Oh wait, it'll improve guests days out, it'll improve KPI scores, it improves the overall appearance of the park. Better appearances improve peoples days. People enjoying their days more tend to come back and also tell people/bring new people along. All because of these amazingly good looking (and maybe fun to ride - doesn't have to be fun, ala half of legoland) attractions.
  11. Either that, or the other companies have good systems in place to ensure restraints are not open at unsensible levels...
  12. Hopefully more temporary than Zodiac was as a ride replacement, or Dettys temporary status...
  13. http://www.peoplebank.com/pbank/owa/Tussaud.ThorpeVacancySuggests they are.
  14. Can't be too sure of that, towers kept their hospitality suite
  15. Oh it's mer? I thought it was Ricky. Awkward...

    Jobs..

Gotta enjoy those inductions.. it's probably the only reason I go for jobs in the first place is to watch H&S videos..Moving back up north in a couple of weeks, ooooh.
  17. Fudge. Now to get the day off work!
  18. I honestly did not expect this to be successful enough to repeat, let alone add many more dates to the schedule.Wow.
  19. £12 minimum fare before 10am nowadays. Used to be £16. I obviously travelled further than you then! I used to have to get the 639 train .Definitely worth it for me, but everyones different.
  20. Storm surge has music?I keep learning something new about this ride of which I continue to have zero interest in. Thanks for posting though
  21. Btw - both mentions of B&M problems here (inferno lifthill and air restraints) are down to consign, and not down to B&M.There's a lovely article about consign on one of the towers enthusiast websites. They talk about the difficulties they got to get Air working. It's all about their proxy sensors, and what methods they use to ensure the ride is picking up the right things etc.I althought thought Raptor/Swarm etc had the same restraints as air - in that they lock into the side with holes? Or is it retro B&M style locking mechanism? In any case, these shouldn't affect the ride too much anymore.Plus they'll naturally test the restraints. If anything, the staff will be opening and closing them a hell of a lot just getting used to the ride during training pre-opening.
  22. There's nothing about affordability to remove stickers from stuff. It's just pure lazyness.
