Coss seatbelts aren't a failsafe, if they were - they'd be unable to unlock whilst rides in motion! The chances of the restraint being between ratchets, then slipping to the 2nd ratchet and staying there for duration is extremely slim. The downforce on the rides push the restraints intowards you, so you're far more likely to finish a ride with it one more click down than the other way. That's irritating.

Yet Kevins signed a media policy, but spreads the music about like he owns the place . What a hippogriff. All you need is someone to height check at entrance, slap a wristband on. And then ensure they have wristbands in station. Otherwise, no point in wristbands, no point in guy on entrance. God, chessie is so stupid sometimes.I love the inability of the park to get 3 trains by the start of easter holidays though. It's the same every single year.

God this topic is full of gone away people, and the first page member stuff is soo screwed! It's well mentioned that it was a cigarette that caused this fire, however it was apparently an electrical fault. Remember reading this on a document somewhere weird.

Especially if your name is the Ultimate. Those restraints don't look real. The seatbelt MUST keep it down, surely..Seatbelt reassurance on that ride is a lifesaver
  8. Still, prefer the air ones. Assume the position :)I think what should be to note - is that they're actually advertising that they've got them on sale. Whereas you have to look very clearly for the towers equivalents!
  9. Do I spy a fail sneeky escapee bear in the middle? (13 logo on the foot )

It's going along the lines of making all interesting and relatively well selling lines the same for all major rides. It's good, nice to see loads and loads of merchandise now.

It's finally broken you has it? Turning off works well for myself .Much like the "LOL I am over the height limit" thing when I had every single person in a group do it to me on monday then get pissy that I completely ignored them. Mmmm.
  14. And before that, they could completely change the set timer. Until some numpty accidently put it on 1.5 seconds, and got the engineers MAD.

Does it not?On nemesis, thats very much the case. Completely agree with SilPho about his points - that's the two most useful points of them.

Is the inferno dispatch automatic again? It's nice to see the parks have higher maintenance work done - both lego and towers have new speakers, fixed speakers, or music in areas.

It would've been thorpes regular "lets try and motivate our staff by playing **** music all day" thing.Maybe motivates them a bit, but my god don't they look depressed afterwards. There's far better ways of doing it than ruining the experience and feeling of a theme park with it.

I am REALLY surprised they haven't got someone draining the boats constantly. Though I don't know the loading procedure, but surely they have time to remove at least a little bit of water from each boat?

It's there to calm guests down - simple as.As in the case of B&M coasters - which use ratchet systems for most restraints - there's no physical way of releasing the restraint mid ride. Every single ratchet would have to be completely worn down for it to fully open - by which time, reports of the restraint opening slightly would've been addressed due to guests continually telling the staff/the staff noticing whilst checking restraints.I'm sure most people have experienced an inbetween ratchet ride - where the restraint moves a few cm. The seatbelt just reassures the guest that if the restraint opens further (which, 100%, it wouldn't) they won't fly to their death.

The thing which I mentioned before, just wards that off.. at least it does for myself
  23. Bingos - if you youtube old vampires last day, or something like that.. you can see the mega trench in which the trains flew in through. As electric bill says - there's very noticeable signs of where the floor was lowered throughout the station to accomodate these new trains. I bet, all in all, that this was extremely expensive for chessie (probably almost as much as just getting a new main ride).Stolen from the other vampire topic - which I noticed just now and posted in 2007 - is the video
