    Colossus

Colossus has a great layout, ruined by the worst inverting trains I've ever sat in. It's still rideable though.

    Glee!

Ironic choice of gif, considering Neil Patrick Harris was in an episode of Glee

Are you seriously calling Stephen Fry a twit?
  4. I don't think Saw is that bad personally (theming wise, it's by far the best at thorpe), the only problem is that horrible bump at the bottom of the drop which puts me off re-riding it because it actually does hurt me. But if we're talking world class, I think that only Colossus can be included.

    SAW: Alive

Well, one could argue that if the acting was up to scratch, they wouldn't even need to touch you in order to scare you or shock you, let alone as bad as a gimmick as electrocuting your guests. HHN doesn't touch, or shock you and it makes Saw Alive look pathetic.

    Nicki Minaj

Erm, quality isn't marked out by how many records someone sells

    SAW: Alive

The whole idea of an electric shock on a maze is quite frankly daft and would have earned thorpe a silly amount of complaints, regardless of what was put on signs.
  8. I wasn't thinking realistically, just if it could be *anything*, that's what I'd like.
  9. If we are talking "best possible" outcomes, I'd like to see a nice, long (see Montu or Kraken for example) B&M coaster.
  10. Oblivion? Current theme looks pretty cool.
  11. Complacency like "oh it's the situation we are in" isn't good. I'm glad that this charge has got mostly a bad response rather than "an oh, I'm not bothered because it doesn't affect me personally" response. I would have thought costs would be similar on public transport if you account for petrol + parking charge.
  12. People might not see much into the lego move now...but for all we know, it could be testing ground for trying that move at all parks.
  13. I quite like the marvel one.
  14. Girls in purgatory? Where did this come from?!
  15. I haven't, don't intend to either.And I wasn't unhappy.
  16. Harry Potter and The Forbidden JourneyWhat can I say about this ride that hasn't already been said? It's spiderman's older brother, being somewhat similar in what it does but using more advanced technology. It's utterly fantastic, added more to by me being a long time potter fan. It also eats queue, loading is incredibly fast for what it is and the queue has so much to look at it's very hard to get bored in it. Also-butterbeer. Greatest drink ever.Kraken.Front row on this coaster is INCREDIBLE. B&M's floorless coasters single handily justified in one coaster.Euro-MirUtterly bonkers Europa Park coaster. Beats the UK spinners by a country mile. Also, the funkiest lift hill in all of existence. Expedition EverestAmazing Facade, Amazing queue and a pretty good ride to boot. Montu.Best layout on a B&M inverter. I prefer this to Nemesis.
  17. On the way back on the thames clipper from seeing Gorillaz, Matt Berry was also on the boat http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_BerryAlso met two of the cast of the Inbetweeners when they were in the chimes shopping centre filming the 3rd series

  19. I hope they go with the same effects that Universal have. As for theming, it's mostly castle-ish with lots of Farquad banners and spoof film posters featuring Shrek characters. There's a talking donkey animatronic thing at the exit but I'd be surprised if they had that.
  20. Kraken is probably closer to Nemesis rather than that of an animal, since it's a mythical creature :(But I get what you mean.
  21. Not really, you get the occasional blurb on the website about it being something to do with a virus but it's all bollocks really.
  22. Not every ride needs a backstory really. Infact I'd rather rides didn't have them unless they are going to do them properly. The only rides I can think of at the Merlin parks that pull it off really well are Nemesis and Hex, and you don't even have to know or care about the nemesis one to make it a good ride anyway. All the attempts to add a story to X:/ seem as pointless to me as trying to add one to loggers leap or even something daft like Rocky Express. Just take it for what it is, a generic sci fi/cyberpunk/neon paint themed rollercoaster in the dark.EDIT: Actually thinking about it, Tidal Wave might have one of the best backstories in the whole of the merlin parks.
  23. The only part of twister I found entertaining was the cow on the rope, and ET is awful once you get to his planet.
