Deep down, everybody knows Quantum is the best ride at Thorpe Park.
  2. ? The more I ride Wodan, the more it cements itself as my favourite wooden coaster. It's just utterly relentless. It's the perfect antithesis to Blue Fire which feels so controlled and perfected.

Is this open yet? I'll only go once they get the greatest ride open again.
  4. Happy Birthday to the big one. Whilst I think it would be more beneficial to the world as scrap metal, one cannot deny the influence and importance of it at Blackpool.
  5. I don't know these people. I'm not fortunate enough.
  6. It's getting good reviews apparently.
  7. In completely unsurprising news, Scandinavia has been delayed. Considering a year ago it was a burnt down mess, any delay is completely forgivable.

Did all the other parks close down?

When I used to operate it back in 2007/2008, I regularly had a recurring nightmare that I couldn't stop the train in the right place and it just went round and round forever. Genuinely the best ride to operate on park. It was second to none on guest interaction, I used to pretend to be parking it on two laps, before whacking it back up to full speed and giving another go.

Are you ever in the country long enough to get to the best regional theme park in Staines upon Thames?

    Samurai removed in 2020 confirmed.
  12. Dynamite opened in Germany yesterday. Good to see another Mack opening. Because they are the best.
  13. I don't remember that time at all to be honest.
  14. Kind of nice to read an RMC review that isn't completely positive so thanks for that. I had similar problems with the restraints on Goliath and Steel Vengeance and I'm not a big guy but I am relatively tall and found my legs hitting the leg bar constantly.

It's pretty fascinating how quickly we're losing all the flat rides at the moment. A lot of people want more flat rides but the more we lose, the more I think our lord and masters just don't want them in their theme parks.

    What. You're kidding me.
  17. I'm calling it. By the end of next year, it will be on the scrapheap.
  18. So what exactly is happening with Enterprise or is it just another Black Bucaneer/ Loggers Leap situation.
  19. to be honest even if they replace it, it will never be as good as buccaneer. For some reason, it always went just that little bit higher then other swinging ships. Some of my my best memories was during fury’s opening year and just staying on it for ten rides in a row, just switching seats after ever cycle. ??
  20. It is no longer on the official website. RIP Black Buccaneer. My best memories of it was arguing with every single guest when I operated it because they refused to sit anywhere but the end rows. Hell on earth.
  21. Reviving the best topic on TPM for y'all. 1. Winjas at Phantasialand are actually awful rollercoasters, the complete antithesis to Fury and Tarantula. A good ride for me isn't one chock full of gimmicks, its fantastic pacing. These rides at every turn kill momentum with their tricks and I hate them. Fear would be a standout European coaster for me if it didn't keep stopping. 2. The New Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris is objectively better than the previous incarnation. Whilst some have bemoaned the unveiling of the actual story, I don't have a problem with this myself. 3. Port Aventura is only popular because its in a sunny climate. It's a dismal theme park and has IMO the worst park guests out there. Silver Star is only fractionally worse then Shambhala but at least German guests know how to wait in line (and Silver Star runs all three trains...) 4. Checking bars at Europa Park is the worst things thats happened this decade, (I jest, Derren Browns ghost train is) 5. Hyper coasters are the best ride types. Better then gigas and stratas.
  22. I'm not sure which one I prefer.
  23. it's most useful at CP I find, when I was at Canadas Wonderland, the top tier only had Leviathan and Behemoth but they had shorter queues then the next tier down rides anyway so it made it a bit of a waste. The only reason it really works at CP is because the higher fastpass is on the lower capacity rides. Even though CP run rides well, Maverick and TTD can't shovel through people like Raptor, Rougarou and Gatekeeper can. Agreed about Port Aventura if only because I genuinely hate Spanish theme parks and I'd rather be the one doing the queuejumping then being incredibly miserable in their standby lines.

Agreed, it is a lightening in a bottle ride and is just utterly theatrical and fantastic from start to finish.
