Logger's Leap
Correct me if I'm wrong, but have Thorpe ever said there was a refurbishment on the cards. Is it even re-opening in 2017?

Airtime at UK Parks
To save time, I'll just go to the countries that have air-time rollercoasters. Better to be realistic then to chase dreams that won't come true.

Top 10's
You lost me at Cheetah Hunt. I don't get the hype for it at all. Launch, slow to a crawl, Launch, slow to a crawl, do a tree thing, drop and slow to a crawl constantly. Rides like Taron and Helix blow it out of the water. Points for having Space Mountain in your top ten though. I'm a big fan of it

The Blue Barnacle (Previously Black Buccaneer)
It's not really for safety frankly, its a BS rule that seems to be all about theory and not reality. And it's inconsistent across Merlin.

Universal Studios Florida
Thats because Universal are going for the everything and the kitchen sink approach and so far, its kind of worked. And as we know, any investment in a Florida park equals attendance rises for all parks. Disney don't have to do anything and people still flock to their parks. Is it any wonder they don't rush investment.

Alton Towers General Discussion
It was in the Blade/Ripsaw pit. It was the reverse Oblivion if you like with majority of the ride sunk down. I had always heard it was removed because of the noise it made, more then the track being visible outside the park.

The Big Bad Movie Topic
Average rating of 4.7 on Rotten Tomatoes just means its average. Problem is, Marvel films have knocked it out the park more times then most. DC are playing catch up far too quickly and shows through their films which just don't feel right.

Alton Towers General Discussion
They still run Smiler like they used to, they were definitely duelling during my visit.

Tidal Wave
I miss 2003 Tidal Wave. In fact 2003 Thorpe Park. Nostalgia sucks.

Stealth
What do you think they should do? Open it anyway?

Stealth
Thats a very American response to something out of a companies control...

Bubbleworks
I do think you are being pedantic, particularly as visitor numbers have risen steadily over the last ten years.. This thing they are offering isn't compulsory, no one is being forced to go on the tour. It makes sense for a theme park to profit from one of their attractions if people are willing to pay that amount. In a sense, it is a last time opportunity to see the Bubbleworks behind the scenes. I'd be intrigued as to how they intend to include Professor Bubbleworks in there.

Phantasialand
They needn't have bothered. Its a great coaster without having to be some kind of record maker.

The Blue Barnacle (Previously Black Buccaneer)
Back when I was far younger then I am now, Buccaneer was one of those rides that you could just stay on for five or more go's because there was never a queue. It pains me that the parks incompetence and own policies have destroyed what was one of Chessingtons best ride.

Bubbleworks
Whilst this is correct, I don't see anything wrong with this. People forget that even the current version of Bubbleworks is a very popular ride, a lot of people have very nostalgic memories of the older version and many would want a last ride on this incarnation of it.

Wicker Man
It could be bloody fantastic Matt, how can we you make such a prediction before a single piece of wood has been built. A no limits recreation cannot give you the sensation of the ride, the force, the air time, the theming, how its going to physically look in the park. Rides like Tomahawk at PortAventura or Rustchebanan at Tivoli Gardens don't look up to much but are respective highlights of their parks.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
The difference being Air opened at the start of the season whereas we waited a good three months for Derren Brown and besides, Air opened with so many problems because of technology that Alton Towers and Tussauds insisted needed to be added. They overcomplicated the ride to the point where it kept breaking as the two Supermans in America, never had reliability issues. Besides, it's a coaster enthusiasts sole cause in life to pick up every flaw on any ride. It's basically our first commandment. And whilst I understand your positivity, I am also slightly concerned at the shelf life of this particular attraction.

The 2016 Thread
People love that kind of stuff, its definitely in vogue at the moment. Good of thorpe to break away from traditional places to eat. Those cabins could do with a bit of touch up though..

Disneyland Resort California
I don't doubt that this could be a great ride. The problem is its replacing what is already an amazing ride and seems/feels completely unnecessary.
