  1. I hope those posters aren't to close to the queue line. I can imagine a restless average Thorpe goer ripping them.
  2. Precisely. When I worked there it could run up to five cars and we all used to call it the easiest ride to operate in my area because it never had a queue.

I could say that with every ride operator in any theme park in the world.
  4. Welcome to human nature. We judge things before the final product in every walk of life. Look at how everyone was critiquing the London Olympics in 2012 before the event or how based on the trailers, the internet decided Batman v Superman was going to be awful. We're going to spend the next ten, twenty, thirty years with this ride in existence, we want it to be as top quality as it can be. For some, they may be looking for things to rip apart, but that isn't the majorities intention. For me, it could be so much better if it was a completely themed facade, all the way round the ride building.
  5. It's an incredible park that is constantly refining and updating. All the old gutter rides are slowly being removed and replaced with some outstanding stuff.

Ten years ago I'd have said yes. Now a days I think Stealth is fine as it is. There's four other coasters that do inversions if you really want that.
  7. I'm picky when it comes to shed ride buildings. I spotted the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride shed quite quickly when I went to Florida. I hope they are some massive arse trees then.
  8. I love these shots, it looks properly themed, atmospheric and well detailed. But then it goes to pot with this How easy is it to see that red warehouse from main pathways? Cause it looks awful.
  9. Judging by the amount of people voted most sarcastic member in the 2015 awards, I'd say that is false. I'm also aware your post was slightly sarcastic as well.

He would be if he hadn't been left out in the rain to rot.

I love Thirteen. Even if everybody else apparently hates it. Around 2003 when promo art of a valley woodie was doing the rounds on Alton Towers forums.
  12. As in 'May I have your attention please, Derren Browns ghost train is currently unavailable'
  13. Mark9 replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
Well it has, just not in anyway that benefits the theme park side of the operation. If you like Zoos or fancy hotels, it's probably a lot more interesting.

I'm okay with that. Even if we only have Nemesis, many countries enthusiast groups would give their right shoe to have a ride like that.

  16. I get the feeling the Japanese are in general, the most enthusiastic people on the planet. When they go for something, they go hard. Long queues for the new flyer aren't surprising in the slightest.
  17. You should shop in Waitrose, we've had amazing lemon ice cream for years in much larger portions I bet
  18. I've always thought that Intamin and B&M work perfectly in different ways and there isn't really a need for B&M to suddenly go after the launch market for example, especially as Mack have pretty much taken over Intamin's stranglehold. Admittedly Intamin launches are faster then Macks but then Mack have better designs, smoother and better trains and are more reliable rollercoasters
  19. Ride Access Pass's and Yellow Wristbands directly affect park operations.
  20. I generally prefer B&M for their comfort and ease of riding. I find Intamins really need to warm up to be outstanding as Piraten was downright awful in the morning and then outstanding in the late afternoon. Wouldn't be fair to compare Expedition Ge Force because I wasn't a big fan of that especially as the train we were using with the ECC was cold. Shambhala and SIlver Star are good rides though, no question.
  21. The wikipedia page for deaths at Disney parks is a grim read.
  22. I've seen that guy photo a ceiling at a hotel in Europa Park. That is definitely not 'down with the kids'

Coaster Jamie, when I say the public think of Woodies, Blackpool springs to mind, in no way I am saying that as a bad thing. What I am saying is that there last woodie was built in the 50's, they are old rides and that is what has stuck in the GP's mind because Megafobia aside, they are the only parks to feature wooden coasters in their line up.

This viewpoint only seems to exist in the UK. I think when people think woodie, they think Blackpool.
  25. A carer along with other carers and a boy with MS once told me they used the main queue because they couldn't stand the judgemental faces from people when they got on via the exit.
