Merlin parks policy is to not give refunds. They can give out free tickets for another visit but will never go down to giving people their money back as everything is covered in their T&C's. I know this is a broken record but Thorpe's problem just shows how they cannot control the fastrack numbers properly. It's too cheap for what it provides. I could never say a ride is my favourite ride if I have to ride it in a certain way to get enjoyment out of it. In my top ten you could take Katun, Nemesis, Blue Fire, Helix and ride in any seat and have a fantastic time. Some seats are better then others obviously but its never at a level where the ride is immensely different. How can Baco be your favourite ride when only one in twenty seats is any good. It's sheer madness.

I'd forgotten they had completely destroyed Khan with turning the MCBR on. It used to do practically nothing making the ride just one long stretch of ever tightening corners and force.

It's just astounding that PortAventura has the awesome Shambhala and the old school fantastica-ness of Dragon Khan and yet all people talk about is the awful Baco. At least El Diablo and Stampida do the decent thing of being ignored by enthusiasts. I wish the same could be said of Baco

It's had a lot more refurbishments then it really deserves already. It needs canning now frankly.

That's Infernos greatest strength. It doesn't try and be the greatest inverter ever built, it's just a solid little ride. Definitely my favourite coaster at Thorpe.

You can act less smug about it for a start. Some (like myself) have pointed out that a queueless theme park is a nice concept but will never work in reality, but only you have banged on about it consistently.

This guy once told Marc and I that Vortex was moving to Canada Creek to replace Rocky Express. Don't necessarily believe everything that comes from the person in mind.

I dont understand what benefit the ride n reserve system is having anymore. This is the thing with all these systems like fastrack and ride n reserve. Theme parks should be simple, you enter the park, you go queue for something, you ride it then you rinse and repeat as you go around the park. All this faffing around gets away from the actual problem at Thorpe, capacity is too low for its attractions. 5 and a half hour wait for a maze is too long in anyones book.

So you and CJ want an engineer to stand there, tinkering away with a hammer to be convinced they are doing something. God sake people, everytime we go through this.

Love that name. Nice and original so gets my approval. I'd stick to Amsterdam myself, but then I'm a sucker for their lifestyle, shall we say.

I love Dragon Falls as it was originally intended but thats not what lies in Mystic East anymore. Lets face it, the ride is a pretty shoddy, non event but its adventure through the rock work and into the dragons mouth were/are the real highlights.

I once complained about fastrack. They tried to give me a priority pass for a ride of my choice. I refused and said, giving me a pass doesn't solve the problem. There is a moral high ground, if you are willing to take it.

So basically, I've decided what Chessington should do. Get rid of Dragon Falls, Peeking Heights and Toadies and install one bloody amazing new area. And what rides, well I'm thinking a Juvelen clone, because that is the best family roller coaster out there and secondly, an Intamin log flume like Chiapas. Make it so Chessington.

More importantly, why do you want to see the waterbuses return?

Jeez, thats the point CJ, you give people (especially the GP) choice to stay on for ride after ride, they could potentially make themselves ill as a consequence. The park s cover their own backs because even seasoned coaster enthusiasts like Benin and Fred can make themselves feel iffy after too many rides. We don't know if Benin has a medical condition, he might not even know. It may be triggered by one too many spins on Dragons Fury and then what. No re-rides whatsoever, Fury closed for investigation. I don't necessarily agree that Fury would ever do that, but there is always that chance, a chance the park do not (apparently) want to take.
