True. But then, how many parks are building Huss pirate ships these days.. When it comes to a new attraction and if Thorpe was to get one it would've subject to the same ridiculous rules that buccaneer and the legoland one are.

They are all theoretical capacities, particularly in funfairs where bums on seats and the ride in action attracting people to it is the name of the game. In a theme park environment, that isn't the case and the best you can get is Rush around the 700pph mark. I know for a fact Ramses and Ripsaw don't get anywhere near 1000 an hour.

Flat ride and high throughput doesn't exist. Especially in a theme park environment.
  4. If Thorpe got a Juvelen clone I don't think you'd be able to get me off of it. The best Intamin ever <3

Mack have always been the old reliable company but I think with blue fire and now with Helix they really have turned a corner. Helix isn't just a big bold ride, it's a well paced, relentless thriller and any park in Europe could do something original and bold with the ride type. Parks like Oakwood, Drayton and Flamingoland could really excel if they asked Mack for one. They truly are fantastic rides.
  6. Thorpe is definitly the worst for one train operation it would seem.
  7. LET US GATHER AROUND THE FIREPLACE AND DISCUSS THINGS OF AN INTAMIN PERSUASION.

Somehow, there is a part of me, that doesn't think that was the case....
  10. Despite my massive love for Phantasialand, I've not been back since 2006. Your trip report may have given me the inspiration to go again =)

You're going to have to enlighten us on this one, how does he bring upon himself people (I.e. you) being mean to him.

Well of course it doesn't, on the other hand I can't think of many small scale dark rides, even thinks like the Fantasyland rides at Disneyland take up a chock full of room and they are very small scale rides.

To add to what Pluk said, Duel takes up a heck of a load of space too. Something Thorpe just doesn't have to play with.

We could just go to Alton and see Nemesis on two trains at 9am every single day of the season to see it can be done with the Merlin machine.
  15. It's the ride that just can't stop giving, even after death. A month ago this would be big news, now it's just.. lols

My guess is that they didn't reserve their leaving times for the park using park and reserve so had to wait for the people who did use the system to leave first.
  17. It's ridiculous that they get outraged, it's an award that doesn't mean anything.

    This.

A time travelling post?! (The 3DS has sold 44.4 million worldwide and has sent an extremely low percentage of people into seizures).
