MikeC
Just later than the others. For a start:A: S+S came to the restraints, not restraints to S+SB: They aren't new.
NickD
Just later than the others. For a start:A: S+S came to the restraints, not restraints to S+SB: They aren;t new. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No... it was restraints to S&S , I'm pretty sure a certain engineer knows what they are talking about. Marc
Slammer and Rush's whole restraint system was sent to S&S in america, as far as I know some of them may well have been replaced on both rides.
MikeC
So Rush's engineer I spoke to on 2ND April lied? No.

MikeC
Sorry Alex, but you have the wrong end of teh stick here. A: I never said that older members are superior/elite [Dann's description of Elite: Superior to others]B: Did I ever say he is my source? Stop presuming. Dan9
Well nothing is wrong with it anymore, I mean, Rush is open, so their is nothing wrong with it. The restraints may have been sent to america to S&S. I dont think that Rush has new restraints, but no one can be sure unless you own the park or work for S&S, as the restraints look entirely the same. Alex, it might look as if sebs trying to be supierior over speedjunkie, but I dont think he is, seb may just know abit more (no offense), but it doesnt mean he is being superior over the newer members. We were all newer members at some point.Anyway, back on Rush...
Pickles
The restraints are safe right?

MikeC
No. And this topic could have gone in quick questions. It ahasn't been on 1 swing much this year, better than 05/06.
richy2001
yea I no, but its still not right is it?? they should fix it so both work!!an its an important ride aswell, because its the biggest and 1st flat ride swing outside of the USA! made by S&S power I think? James
Its been on 2 swings all year as far as I'm aware. The queue isnt actually that long.. its about 45 minutes when its back to the entrance.
richy2001
thas alrite then, cause last time I went, only one swing was working and the queue was out the entrance and round he corner a bit!I'm goin on it though when I next go, as I bin told its an awesome experience! Sheepie
It's a really good experience And usually if there's a closed ride or whatever, it's usually in the closed rides topic.Hope that helps

RuneOwn
Its been closed for quite a few weeks now, I know its still the start of the season but all the other rides have been in operation. Ive been about 4 times this year and every time I go over to rush and look at the same untouched scene. Are thorpe being lazy? Does anyone know when they will be getting the right seats back on the swing and open it up!
Johnny07
when I was there today there were engineers fixing it up.the seats are on and I think the cables are being attached.
RuneOwn
That sounds prommising, I will go on the weekend and see what its like! Hopefully it will be open then!

Johnny07
Yep, think so. When I was there yestrday, it was on. It seemed they were working on the cables.
Mr_Rabbit
Thorpe were let down by S&S (the manufacturer) which lead to a delay in essential parts required to put the ride back together for the new season arriving. Now that the parts have finally arrived, the rides re-construction has commenced and should take around another week before it is fully operational once again. Mr_Rabbit
I'm sure the people concerned at Thorpe are questioning exactly the same thing Mr Cant....However, it was a delay, rather than a mixup.
RuneOwn
I went to thorpe at the weekend. Rush was still closed . Any updates about the ride?
