J.S217
Might plan a 2015 trip to Liseberg might ride Helix before I ride Blue fire
EC!
Just found out that Liseberg have confirmed that Helix will be a 1.3m height restriction, apart from the back row which is 1.5m for tall and fat people as supposedly the seats are bigger and deeper as well as a bigger restraint so that taller and bigger people can fit in. pognoi
Benin
Source for that? A weird decision, given that the Mack restraints aren't that restrictive...
EC!
Source for that? A weird decision, given that the Mack restraints aren't that restrictive... the 1.3 from Liseberg's website, and the other thing from a person on another forum with close sources to the park (atleast it looks like they do). JoshC.
The new roller coaster will use lap bars as restraints for the passengers and it has special, so called, “Big boys”-seats on row 10 of each train. http://liseberg.com/en/home/Amusement-Park/Rides--Attractions/New-2014---Projekt-Helix/ Only thing I can find on their site about the seats; no mention of height restrictions that I can see. pognoi
How long is it? My eyes and memory may be fooling me but it looks like one of the longest steel rides in Europe.
Benin
RCDB lists it as 4,530.8 ft, which takes it to 6th in the European length table (Ultimate wins that round)...
JoshC.
According to RCDB, it's about 4500ft long (so a bit longer than Lisebergbanan) and will be the 7th longest coaster in Europe. EDIT: Beaten by Benin. Though it will be the 7th longest, not 6th. Edited April 22, 2014 by JoshC.

Deleted Users
Source for that? A weird decision, given that the Mack restraints aren't that restrictive... I remember seeing a 1.4m or 1.5m sign for Blue Fire's back row at some point. No idea if that's still around though.

JoshC.
Following photos are from Coasterforce's Twitter... CF also tweeted that the queue line is "more extensive" than they thought, saying that lights, smoke and the maze are beautiful. Seats are also as comfortable as the Blue Fire ones it would appear. Already made up my mind now - DEFINITELY going here next year. pluk

Benin
'Okay'? I know you think SAW and Nemesis Inferno are the greatest rides in the world but come on... I put it down to him not actually have riding Blue Fire, though of course many rides look excessively dull from POVs (Nemesis included)... EC!
I'm excited for this but from what I have heard from the press evening is very mixed. Some are like OMG best ride ever with some of the most insane airtime on a coaster, whereas someothers have said it is OK and the airtime is good but they felt like it was forceless which dissapointed them... I'm keeping hopeful and hopes that it gets more of a positive rep, who knows it might have its slow testing wheels still on!

People liked it but compared to other launchers and inverters, it isn't the most intense thing going. Helix has an even harder job as right next door is the punchy Kanonen. In other words, don't worry about what other people think and just try and get on it at all costs .
