March 31, 20187 yr comment_257055 Hi Will it be busier Tomorrow or Bank holiday Monday? Any ideas? Thanks
March 31, 20187 yr comment_257060 Bank holiday Monday is bound to be a nightmare but probably Sunday less so (because of religious stuff) though still busy.

May 24, 20187 yr comment_258209 I'm looking to do a UK theme park tour with a friend who's visiting from Europe soon, but it's probably going to have to be August. I was wondering whether that's a good idea or not, given crowd levels over the summer holidays - it's been forever since I've been to any of the parks at that time of year. The current plan is Alton Towers on Friday, 10th August and Thorpe Park on Monday 13th August, probably with Blackpool Pleasure Beach on the Saturday in the middle. I'm not too worried about Blackpool as from experience it seems to soak up any crowds fairly well, but what are the lines likely to be like on Monday, 13th August for Thorpe? It has shorter opening hours (10:00 - 18:00) than the Friday, which suggests it'd be best to do it this way round. Any advice appreciated!
May 24, 20187 yr comment_258210 If it was me I’d try swap Towers and Thorpe, towers open hours are likely to be 10-6 on both days where as if you can do thorpe on the Friday you’ll get 10:00 till 22:00. That said on a 10 till 6 day you should be fine to get all done, aim to get there for opening!
June 12, 20196 yr comment_264935 Anyone know when the worst of the school trips hits? People at work are planning to go on 21st of this month and I'm gearing the worst...

Worst of school trips is in July. Late June is usually manageable; wouldn't expect queues to peak at longer than 30-45mins at worst. And if you're sensible and don't do Swarm first, don't do DBGT when it opens, etc, you'll be fine.
July 30Jul 30 comment_326560 Revivng this question to tell you all that Fright Nights and halloween in general has essentially become the new summer, queues will be ridiculously high (I waited half an hour on the ride access queue for Hyperia, which probably had a 300 minute normal queue wait last year) and crowds will be absolutely packed. Alton Towers' scarefest also has the same issue and not even Chessington or LEGOLAND are safe from the long queues too, especially at half term. Simply put, if you're going to a major UK theme park this halloween, be prepared for the worst.
August 17Aug 17 comment_327222 Apologies for bumping this thread, but out of curiosity, which Saturday in September is likely to be quietest out of the 13th, the 20th and the 27th? I was pondering a nice September trip to Thorpe, and had provisionally pencilled in the 27th in my mind. I thought that the further from summer and the school holidays I get, the quieter the days at Thorpe are likely to be. However, I’m wondering if that would be the best of the 3, as you are starting to get towards Fright Nights type season by the 27th. FN seemingly doesn’t start until 3rd October, but I wondered if crowds crept back up again towards the end of September in anticipation. What do any Thorpe regulars think?
August 17Aug 17 comment_327225 To be honest, there won't be any real differences in how busy it is. Weather might play a factor, but the Saturdays in September will all be equally busy really. Saturdays will be the busiest day of the week, but it still won't be that busy.
