I don't like the narrow and dark corridors in MBV, something you don't get in the other mazes.

ehh true it is like pitch black and really tight at some points I guess. then again I haven't been through the tunnel so .......

also Coaster Jamie, apparently Saw Alive is the most intense face it alone maze actually!

Personally, if I was paying £15 then I would want to be able to choose, for example if I got Saw Alive then I wouldn't be very impressed as I don't rate that maze very highly.

Not a very good idea IMO.

The attractions are completely different when you do it alone. Like completely different.

I won't even lie, I'm probably way too much of a wimp to do Face It Alone anyway haha but there are serious flaws to not being able to choose- the main one being: what if you wanted to try every single maze? You probably couldn't :/ it's kinda killed the chance of people wanting to redo it.

As JoshC said earlier, once you've done it the first time, the effect is lost. Most people will only ever do it once so I think overall it's a good, creative decision which will add quite a lot to the experience.

I don't think I'd ever do it again tbh.

Allegedly, you go round the maze being hit, shown sex toys, and being sexually threatened/swore at

from what I've been told, generally this but I'm pretty sure no one gets physically hit. that doesn't seem very legal...just general manhandling occurs I think.

also one review I read said they were given a poncho to wear in asylum, and had fake feces thrown at them lmao. fun times :-)

Not that accurate but part of that is correct (at least in my experience).

Before you enter you're made to sign a document which mentions you shouldn't spoil the surprise for others, so I won't. Trust me it's better if you don't know. And yes you are given ponchos for a reason, partly so your clothes don't get stained or ripped. Saying that, I still managed to come out with only half the clothes I entered with.

Fair enough, but I think you miss my point. Scare Kingdom is doing what fright nights does, which is creating a series of scare mazes. In terms of people yearning an 'extreme scare experience', being sexually threatened and awkward scatological jokes are hardly on par with another Adult-themed Age restricted event within the same area.

Does anyone know of any girls that have done face it alone? I know everyone's experiences are different but it'd be interesting to see how the actors play around with girls. I'm hoping everyone gets treated the same but I'm curious!

My friend Becca did Cabin with us, she got treated exactly the same but less of her clothes were taken off during her time inside!

this is getting slightly off topic, but isn't only the "Psychomanteum" section of scare kingdom an extreme, age-rated experience?? there's like 5 other mazes there which aren't, I'm pretty sure..

Seriously though, this teaser for containment. It HAS to be the single worst piece of marketing in Thorpe History...

There has been a LOT worse.  The roller coaster porn video springs to mind.  I don't get what's so bad about it?

You're paying £15 to experience an extreme maze by yourself.  The choosing of a maze was a bonus.  I stand by my point that if the choice hadn't been there in the past, no one would complain.

I see the points raised by others about why they don't like the idea though.  I wonder if there is any way to request that you don't get a specific maze?  Serious point:  I'd recommend anyone interested in doing FiA but not interested in doing one maze contacts Thorpe (probably by the VIP email); there is a chance they have thought about this I suppose?

What actually happens in Face it Alone?

As others have pointed out, you're asked to not go into details about your experiences.  However, you are warned that essentially anything can happen.

Last year when I did Studio 13, I spoke with the 3 other people who done it on the night, and one was a girl.  We all seemed to have very, very similar experiences.  However, in 2013, I had a completely different experience to the other person who did Face it Alone on Saw.

I think last year, they toned it down a bit when compared to 2013 in that the actors did similar things each time, as opposed to doing what they wanted.  I've heard that, this year, they're upping the intensity again and perhaps making everything a bit more unique again.
