D4n
Corkscrew, in my opinion is still the 4th best Rollercoaster at Alton Towers, it provides 2 great inversions and is plenty of fun for all the family. Although it can band your head a little!9/
treeis
When I went on it I didnt see what the fuss is all about. I didnt get that bumped about and I actully really enjoyed my ride. Back seat on the first drop is AMAZING! Airtime city
Chris
I don't really like this ride, it just hurts, maybe it was because I was on the front ?
D4n
I don't really like this ride, it just hurts, maybe it was because I was on the front ?Yes Corkscrew's like Colossus's Opposite. Sit at the back for a smooth fast and great ride but the closer to the front you get the slower ands more painful it is
Patrick
Corkscrew is a really rough coaster, The first drop has some decent airtime but after that it's all headbanging. It's a shame though, Because it has quite a fun layout and without the headbanging it'd be great fun.
Theme Park bloke
Anyone seen this from Towers Almanac?Shocking. :)A new coaster for Ugland in 2010? First I've heard of it.

Whiteknuckle
I love this ride. It's my second favorite after Nemesis. If it does go, I want to be on the last ever ride, and take some memory back with me, like a spare part or something, to go with the peice of PMBO track in my back garden.First the Beast, then the Black Hole, why not get rid of the tacky rides like Oblivion And Rita? Whiteknuckle
Sorry to go off topic, but I'll explain. When they reprofiled the first drop on the Big One my mate managed to get this peice of track off the guys doing the work. In the end he ran out of room to store it, so he gave it to me for a few quid and I just had to go to London to get it.It's now in my back garden, and makes a comfy seat. D4n
Corkscrew may not be going, it's just a rumourCorkscrew is a great coaster I don't see why people want it to go- The back row is truly fantastic
Jamie_Hk
I don't see the big problem with Corkscrew; I think it's more the fact that people want it to go.It's still a good old coaster, even if a little 'bumpy'.
Theme Park bloke
It's the only coaster Ive been on that its supports are not underground, but on a frame.

Patrick
http://www.altontowers.com/pages/theme-par...o-the-corkscrewI'm really quite sad about this, Sure, it's painful and rough as hell but I appreciate what it has done for Alton Towers and the UK theme park industry.R.I.P Corky 1980 - 2008

AltonThorpe
Corkscrew is a classic, It was the first looped ride I went on. It is definately painfull and no way as good as Nemesis or Oblivion but it will be missed. The good thing I heard though was that they are going to keep one of the corkscrews in rememberence!!We'll Miss Ya Corky
