Fright Nights 2013
Although they haven't confirmed Thorpe is the park yet have they? It seems the most likely candidate though, all very exciting!

Rita does seem to be up and down alot more this year! (An awful lot) Saying that I think Nemesis and Air are the only ones not to be down alot this year.

Park Operations
Saturday seemed the busiest by far, which was good to see, Colossus had a 5 min queue when we rode and Stealth opened with a 5/10 min queue also. They had more food units open across the park with Amity Kebabs open to so was nice to see the event a bit busier.

Park Operations
To be fair they did give out wristbands when you entered the park. As for list of rides, again like my last visit the Queue boards list of rides made it clear enough which ones were open / closed, id be very surprised unless there was a problem the event you visited was the only one they didnt update the boards.

Does this thing still need dummies to test in the mornings in the middle of summer??

Park Operations
The whole park was open till 10pm for all of August in 2006, every day it was dead after 6/7 to be fair.

Park Operations
I expect we will see Zodiac, Quantum, Vortex, Depth Charge and maybe Rush open? I expect if bigger rides were due to be open it would be marketed more than a small note on the site.

Scarefest
I'm not saying its a good thing, the point I was trying to make was at least thorpe's hours were cut when the park was closed so people wont have arranged things, in towers case people will have booked hotes / time off work for dates of an event which are now not happening on them dates / reduced hours which I think is a bigger part of the problem here really.

Scarefest
I dont see why either of them are an excuse tbh At-least thorpe did that before the season started and didn't change the opening times half way though the season when people had planned things around the times. I know they can do this and its all in the T&C's but its poor, no wonder Thorpe is getting better guest satisfaction scores this year than towers.

The Smiler
When it opened late they were able to add a message at the top of the site which scrolled through, They certainly need one this year with Oblivion being down for 2 weeks, Thirteen had a few days and Smiler every couple of weeks!

The Smiler
Apparently down all day today too, They should really make it clear on their website and what not that it will be down, a lot of people will be going just to ride The Smiler and will end up being disappointed. And yes I know they have over 50 rides and attractions

According to posts on FB ride staff have apparently been saying it may be down a few days. Alton are very much in the Thorpe Park dark days of 2006/7 when it comes to ride reliability now it seems :\

Fright Nights 2013
With Fright Nights being advertised on thorpepark.com as: Wouldn't surprise me if it is Thorpe they are talking about... would be pretty awesome too!
-
Summer Nights
Ride close is at 7 throughout summer which will make it interesting next weekend, only 30 mins between them closing and them reopening, and rides could easily have a 30 min queue!

Summer Nights
Thats one thing I find thorpe very good at compared to the other parks is compensating guests (even when it isn't always their fault such as weather), it dont cost the park much / anything but it gives of a great impression IMO. Am heading down again next Saturday, fingers crossed its abit busier and the weathers good!

Summer Nights
To be fair the event is advertised as: On the friday all the queue boards said "coming soon" next to the rides which were going to open, there wasnt much confusion people just were waiting around the rides they wanted to ride first. On Friday Stealth hotdogs were open along with Bar360, I'm surprised Bar360 wouldnt serve food before the ERT started, seems abit silly seeing as they will have already been serving Crash Pad guests. I like the idea, id like to see it expanded more with a more family offering aswell, maybe open up Zodiac / Quantum? But judging by how quiet it was on the Friday and I assume the Saturday, unfortunately I cant see it staying past next weekend.

Summer Nights
I went to Fridays one and thought it was pretty good, The Noise played park wide which wasnt bad for the evening, but the park was just too quiet imo. Got on everything multiple times (apart from Tidal Wave).. Reliability was good, only saw Storm Surge go down for 5 mins. Am going again next week, I hope it starts to get abit busier as it will be hard for the park to justify staying open when its that quiet!

Storm Surge
Rode it yesterday and we actually had a pretty decent spin both times, I'm not sure if it was luck or what but it was actually pretty decent!

Hope everyone's looking forward to tomorrow! I'm sure everyone who went to the Swarm Photoshoot will be aware, but don't forget the dress code for the photo shoot is bright summery and unbranded clothing! See you there!
