Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Had a trip to Thorpe yesterday, took ym Mum, and met some friends who travelled over from South Wales. Park was a bit busier than I thought it would be for a monday, with NI, Colossus, Swarm and Stealth (when it was running) on one train operation. As afore mentioned, Stealth was down for the majority of the day, but saw it operating when we were over at Rush. Luckily, as we collected our bags after the ride, the announcement came on saying the ride has ceased operation, "phew" Saw, the ride seemed very rough yesterday, unless I just caught a bad car. Most of the rides were near enough walk on, the longest queue we found was for Swarm's reversed seats, and did take a while with just one train running. Weather was cloudy but dry, and did actually warm up a fair bit in the afternoon. Got there for opening, meeting our friends about half hour later, and left about quater hour before closing. Ride count Swarm.4 Stealth.1 NI.1 Colossus.1 SAW.1 Logger's Leap.1 Got drenched Samurai.1 Did'nt get off the platform where we got on Rush.1 Flying Fish.1 X.1 Vast improvement, but prefered going backwards Slammer.1 KFC.1 Tidal Wave was shut all day.

Nemesis Inferno
I'm going tomorrow with Mum and 4 mates coming over from Wales. Should be quiet tomorrow then, hopefully.

The Smiler
Well, thanks to the Smiler, that is the first time I have watched Blue Peter in about 10-15 years Good footage, but still not keen on the station interior though.

Some fantastic photos there. I do think the Marmalizer + brain = Smile is a quirky touch. Really can't wait to get on it now

Every other big coaster at the Towers has an SRQ, so could be likely that the Smiler may aswell. Time will tell

Oakwood

Looks like Bounce had had a repaint. Done a great job with the skull aswell.

Park Music
They might aswell build a few air raid shelters. Sounds like the Blitz

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
Can the park get permission to go 200ft high again after the sucsess of Stealth? I just want a traditional wooden coaster, no gimmicks, just plenty of airtime, and a decent length.

Park Music
Sounds like I'll be taking my ear defenders from work in future. If they can drown out military helicopters at close range, they should be perfect

Man, I hope the wind changes soon. Hideous

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
I prefer the Big One to Magnum XL200 at Cedar Point any day. I went cruisin' for a bruisin' on that ride
- The Swarm

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
It's the woodies and the Big One that keeps me going back every year, especially the Wild Mouse
-
Blackpool Pleasure Beach
I won't be going on it. Can't stand W&G personally. I'm sure it will be a succsess for the park in general though.

YES or NO? Flying circus...
I felt sick just watching this.

Tea or Coffee?
I swapped half way through my life. In the first half I used to love tea and hate coffee, now it's the other way round. I can't even stand the smell of tea now. *Puts kettle on*

How To Upload Pictures On The Forum
I know I have done it before, but can't remember. Just trying to sort it.
-
Logger's Leap
I hope not, as, in my opinion it is the best log flume ride in the UK. Used to be Nightmare Niagara at American Adventure Thing is though, no ride lasts forever, either due to relocation or old age.

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Quick write up from my trip yesterday. Me and Mum went up, mainly to renew our annual passes. We headed straight for the Swarm backwards, up over the steps and onto row 7. Going over the first drop was pretty insane, but the rest of it was pretty mundane. Quick ride foward on the front row, which was walk on we then headed to Stealth, again front row then back row. Quick front on nemesis Inferno, with a nice amount of tunnel mist we headed out to renew our passes. Quick cup of coffee in the Dome, it was off to Saw, the ride, which banged my head about a bit, one lame ride on Samurai, then 2 on Colossus, front first, then a middle. Me and Mum were both suprised how fast she was running, especially through the inlines. Missed Slammer out, so headed back to Stealth for another 2 goes, although they had taken a train off, and also the same with The Swarm. Then headed back to the car in the rain. Got home and relised I could have stayed for the ERT, D'oh Forgot to say I did Loggers once aswell, just to see what the state of the tunnel was for myself. Not impressed with the mess they have left it in.
