Hey,The 15th shouldn't be too busy in terms of FN - hour max for the mazes and slightly longer for Saw and maybe other major coasters in the dark.But due to the scheduling changes, with less dates, it could be busier.However, still go. You won't regret it.

If you're talking about the crane, as I passed the park to go to Staines today, I was the 'crane' in the park, in the position of where Slammer is.If you're talking about when it will re-open, I was only guessing, as I obviously had no idea what it was doing. Though I can't see work being done on Slammer to make it operational now unless they want to reopen it before end of season.

Do believe there was a black 'crane' (not sure of the exact word for it ) on the Slammer site today. Should hopefully be up before end of season if it was doibg something that isn't dismantling.

Oooh, Physics lectures are fun. :PYeah, I agree Philosophy is silly at times - but after what I've been taught in Philosophy thus far, I really do question if we can 'know' anything. Knowledge in itself is rather difficult to define and I think that while we can believe and justify such theories - like gravity and earth's roundness - we cannot actually 'know' that they are fact, but instead believe that we know. Even my Physics teacher doesn't think Science is fact - just about the most justifiable theories.So yeah, justify the theory withas many equations as you like and I'll use some old bozo's theory to say it is a bunch of lies made to think you know... that you know something? :)This is a pretty amazing tangent from what we started from!

Science is inductive and only shows everything to be very likely, not fact. Science can never be 'fact' - but rather give us reason to believe the result of the theory is the most possible conclusion.Off topic Philosophy rant

Which could easily be disproved in however many years into the future.Fair enough. I'm not narrow-minded on the matter; just having my opinion and sticking to it I understand and accept others' views, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with them. I don't think the groups aren't doing a good thing, I just don't think there's a need for so many. And I'm fine to drop this argument also. Simply gave my opinion; just like everyone else.

Homosexuality is a part of every day life in the modern society which as a whole is generally a whole lot more accepting of it. Yet it's made out to be this huge problem by most people. People are gay. People are straight. It's that simple. Yes, a minority of people don't like it, but is there a need to make it a bigger deal than what it is? People don't like a lot of things, doesn't mean that those issues will be taken to such a huge scale.

I believe that it is the best theory we have at this time. But in 500 years time, that theory could easily be wrong with better technology, etc. etc. Just like how people believed the world was flat - and I too would have believed it had I lived in that time. But, as technology improved, the theory was rubbished. Who's to say it won't happen again?

If say, Detonator and Samurai were down - would they be advertised? Are they 'major enough'? What about Tidal Wave? Because if they aren't classed as major, and all 3 were down on a warm enough day, the majority of people would very disappointed.

I define entitled to be able to have the right to do something. Therefore, people have the right to be gay - be it genetic or by choice. Offensive? I'm sorry, but what have I said that is offensive? To be honest, I think the whole what 'causes' homosexuality is irrelevant. All I ever said was that I dislike the amount of small scale homosexuality groups. What has genetics got to do with that? And, in all fairness, I don't believe genes cause homosexuality. Just like I don't believe nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. Just like I don't believe the world is spherical. Science is just the best theory at the time. I'm sure that in hundreds of years time, the common thoughts to now will be very different - just like the common thoughts now are very different to that of hundreds of years ago. But that's, again, a whole different discussion. That's where I'm afraid we disagree. If there was a small scale support club for every darn thing, then that would just be political correctness gone mad. And you point out how homosexuality is less common than IBS, yet homosexuality is more widely brought up. That exactly proves the point that homosexuality is being made a way bigger issue than it actually is, a point I've been trying to get at!

I live in Chertsey. And the college I go to, in Egham, has people from around parts like Windsor, Sunbury, Staines etc. I've very rarely seen people get attacked for being gay - only once, when a yr8 boy was teased for it.

The context it was made in was that Mark seemed to make more of a reference to large scale issues and societies: whereas I was referring to the small scale. We all know homophobia is an international issue, but in my experience, only the minority dislike it when someone comes out. When my uncle came out in the 90's,he was treated little differently. When friends have come out, they've been fine. So I use those 'results' if you will as a representation. And with that in mind, I see little need for such societies as it seems to mix the small scale and large scale problems up. Yeah, what I said was an adage. But, it was used when comparing to another one.And am I questioning whether it's by choice or not?

The thing is Will, there are so many 'minority' categories in this country right now, not just the homosexual and bi one. SO should societies be set up for everyone single one of them, so people don't feel scared and frightened? As for the whole attacking against people because of their sexuality, yes it does happen and I don't deny that. But it's only the minority of people who do that. As for being the only gay at college or uni; it is - in my eyes - doubtful that is ever the case. And, speaking from personal experience and hearing from others, most people are very accepting of people who are gay. In the end, I just don't see the need for so many gay societies and such; it more seems to make the 'issue' worse, rather than better when I think about it.

Yeah, there is. And, in my view, some are entitled to be against homosexuality. People have firm religious beliefs, and if that means they're against homosexuals, so be it. They have the same right to be against gays that gays have to be, well, gay. And there are still many people in the world who are against it for no reason other than it being 'wrong' - which is, of course, not the case. But why have such a high influx in gay societies, clubs and so forth? It is just as easy to be gay, ignore others' views and carry on living the way you want.(EDIT: Also, don't anyone think I'm being rude or anything or attacking anyone specifically for being part of these groups, just one of the things that grates me a little. )

Which leads to more guests being unhappy. One of the few changes this year which is just wrong all round...
