  3. Now it is the closed season may as well revive this thread. What changes do everyone think we will see made over the closed season? Also, I have started a topic with the Thorpe Park Ride Game 2016 in the nonsense sub forum.
  4. Closed season is upon us yet again so it's time for the annual ride game yet again (last year's seems like yesterday). Same rules as previous years apply: +1 and -1 each turn. Before you can take another turn, you must wait for three other people to take a turn. Once a ride hits 0 points, it is REMOVED from the list. All other ride scores are RESET to 5. It will use the same list as last year but with Derren Brown's Ghost Train added and Loggers Leap removed. I will start us off by adding a point to Slammer and removing a point from Storm Surge.   5. Agree with you fully, even your bit in small print! Entrance/bridge, full entrance theme, dome chart music.
  6. Hopefully the end of day loop playing is the start of it playing at the end of every day next season. Miss hearing that blasting out over the entire park at the end of the day, really set up for a calm atmosphere leaving the park,

Nice to see them working and great to see further improvements being made, but hope they are on mute next season if they decide to use them, it used to really interfere with the soundtracks when they used to get used and music such as adagio for strings kept blasting out of them meaning the soundtracks couldn't be used.
  8. The ride has had a brilliant season in the grand scheme of things. Plus many other rides have had more downtime than slammer this year.
  9. It was the same during Sunday. one member of staff had been alone doing the batching and all restraints on Samurai the entire day. she was clearly stressed out but still kept a smile and had a brief chat with us.

  11. Yes, actually I noticed those bush bbq ones working actually. Shame some are so quiet though, the atmosphere is so much better when music played loud over FN. Only place that I thought seemed to be of a decent volume was the big top and Nemesis Inferno station.
  12. I have been on twice. Once Sunday and once Monday. The visit on Sunday was exactly as you described but yesterday's visit on Monday was poor. Hardly any effort put into acting and low audio on both parts of VR, really reducing the experience massively.
  13. Only problem I found is there are a lot of areas around park without speakers or with broken speakers. Nothing playing on detonator, quantum or Colossus station and queue.
  14. Seeing as a lot of the conversation on the new for 2017 ride, The Gruffalo appears to be taking over the Bubbleworks topic, would make sense to start a new one specifically for it here. Discuss anything and everything related to The Gruffalo.
  15. I have come to really like Nemesis Inferno in recent years. So will have to go with that.
  16. Predictable tbh what with the amount of downtime it has had this year. Guess it means we also won't see a new ride as they can get away with advertising this as new.
  17. I know this gets asked year in year out but could we see some props or scenery added around the park this year as the park is completely closed for three days before the event starts this year. Personally I can't see it but who knows.

  20. All pumps were in use at the start of the year after being repaired but I believe one has since gone again!

    Slammer has been the opposite for me this season. Open on every visit and rarely down.
  22. 40 mins by car 1 hour 44 mins by train 1 hour 50 mins by bike 6 hours 37 mins by foot
  23. I would imagine a lot of the guests would have assumed someone working at the park would have already called emergency services.
  24. Probably just to make sure it doesn't die for fright nights as it seemed to have done exactly that the last few seasons.
