  1. Nice to see them working and great to see further improvements being made, but hope they are on mute next season if they decide to use them, it used to really interfere with the soundtracks when they used to get used and music such as adagio for strings kept blasting out of them meaning the soundtracks couldn't be used.
  2. The ride has had a brilliant season in the grand scheme of things. Plus many other rides have had more downtime than slammer this year.
  3. It was the same during Sunday. one member of staff had been alone doing the batching and all restraints on Samurai the entire day. she was clearly stressed out but still kept a smile and had a brief chat with us.
  4. Thanks for the update, keep up the hard work. Is good to have someone actually interested in rectifying the issues with some of the audio
  5. Yes, actually I noticed those bush bbq ones working actually. Shame some are so quiet though, the atmosphere is so much better when music played loud over FN. Only place that I thought seemed to be of a decent volume was the big top and Nemesis Inferno station.
  6. I have been on twice. Once Sunday and once Monday. The visit on Sunday was exactly as you described but yesterday's visit on Monday was poor. Hardly any effort put into acting and low audio on both parts of VR, really reducing the experience massively.
  7. Only problem I found is there are a lot of areas around park without speakers or with broken speakers. Nothing playing on detonator, quantum or Colossus station and queue.
  8. Seeing as a lot of the conversation on the new for 2017 ride, The Gruffalo appears to be taking over the Bubbleworks topic, would make sense to start a new one specifically for it here. Discuss anything and everything related to The Gruffalo.
  9. I have come to really like Nemesis Inferno in recent years. So will have to go with that.
  10. Predictable tbh what with the amount of downtime it has had this year. Guess it means we also won't see a new ride as they can get away with advertising this as new.
  11. I know this gets asked year in year out but could we see some props or scenery added around the park this year as the park is completely closed for three days before the event starts this year. Personally I can't see it but who knows.
  12. Oh I thought it had returned. Well according to the pleasure beach experience forum it had. Or has it since been removed again? http://www.pleasurebeachexperience.com/main/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4748
  13. If you mean this one, which was it's most iconic FN track, this hasnt played since 2012 Can't remember last years but defo 2013 and 2014 were this...
  14. All pumps were in use at the start of the year after being repaired but I believe one has since gone again!

    2017

Slammer has been the opposite for me this season. Open on every visit and rarely down.
  16. 40 mins by car 1 hour 44 mins by train 1 hour 50 mins by bike 6 hours 37 mins by foot
  17. I would imagine a lot of the guests would have assumed someone working at the park would have already called emergency services.
  18. Probably just to make sure it doesn't die for fright nights as it seemed to have done exactly that the last few seasons.
  19. That's if you get on all three In the dark. They will all have over an hour queue due to the dire operations!
  20. Think there are issues with the system again as those rides should still play individual themes and actual area speakers play the shortened Colossus theme. Additionally on my last visit a week and half ago Colossus queueline was playing the station music.
  21. Been playing chart music since at least the start of the Summer holidays, well at least on all my visits. Just as we thought we were possibly getting further enhancements to music across the resort. Although saying that I didn't like the repetitive use of Thorpe theme/Quantum music alongside the video. It only used about a minute of the full entrance theme track.
  22. Haha, just realised what I'd typed. Oopsie Looking forward to watching this park and hopefully getting out there in the next year or two.
  23. Seems Tayto Park is doing well and is opening a €6m viking themed water ride and have lots of future plans including a €17.5m rollercoaster in 2-3 years. Check out the radio interview with the owner here. http://www.newstalk.com/How-big-could-Tayto-Park-be
  24. Yep It opened at about 130 and had a 15 min queue. Within walking from stealth to the ride it had suddenly gone up to 120 min and the whole queue virtually full. My group weren't willing to wait so still not got to experience it . Pretty annoying considering it was my tenth visit this season and the first it has actually opened.
