  1. Yep It opened at about 130 and had a 15 min queue. Within walking from stealth to the ride it had suddenly gone up to 120 min and the whole queue virtually full. My group weren't willing to wait so still not got to experience it . Pretty annoying considering it was my tenth visit this season and the first it has actually opened.
  2. Well the ghost train did well managing one day open. Hasn't opened yet today and staff say they aren't sure if it will. Hmmm.
  3. For those of you unlucky enough to experience Professor Burps Bubbleworks I highly recommend watching this awesome video to get a feel as to how poor current Bubbleworks is.
  4. It is now listed with daily opening times on the banner across the home page but only shows 1 week worth of opening times. Generally it is open until 6pm until Sunday 3rd September and then Monday 4th is open till 4:30 and Tues and Weds in September are closed. Edit - Seems that on the mobile version it still has dates from Mid August with 6pm listed. View it on a desktop.
  5. I actually love the music and think it does suit it actually. I have often seen people humming and even moving along to the music. The actual name of the track is home of Dragons. The first one that comes up on YouTube is not the one played as that is the orchestrated version. But yes can definitely see it was a rushed and lazy move.
  6. The correct thread because Dragons Fury is using music from Kingdom Hearts, a Disney/square enix game. Although it's not completely Disney music as the track was made by video game composer Yoko Shimomura for the game.
  7. This website shows the plans for majority of the rides in Germany 2016 http://kirmes-beschickungen.jimdo.com/tourpläne/tourpläne-2016/ Olympia Looping listed as winter wonderland 18/11/16 - 01/01/17 http://kirmes-beschickungen.jimdo.com/vt/16-5/olympia-looping/ Looks more likely than ever before

  9. I had a nice looking burger and chips at the old steakhouse fast food outlet in the western area a couple of years ago. The nice looking burger turned out to be a very rubbery disgusting tasting burger so I would agree food is poor. Although I did only try this one place to be fair.
  10. Seems a strange move in that it is going to reopen next year, maybe the building is somehow being reused for Fright Nights?
  11. Let's not get carried away, we have to remember that Paultons do not make anywhere near as much as even a single Merlin park in a year due to it being a small family run theme park.
  12. This exact same thing has happened on my last two visits, haven't they got bored by now? But if it is entertaining guests then I guess that's fair enough.
  13. I just don't understand why there is this need to batch guests, ometimes the batcher is still sorting out some of the rows as the train is emptied from the previous ride. Just reduce the amount of wasted space in the center of the room and allow people to go into whichever row they like. This system works fine in Thorpe Park and Alton Towers and causes far less problems and faster loading. I just don't understand why it is done so differently at Chessington. Tomb Blaster I can just about understand due to no air gates.
  14. The 6pm opening was always planned as of the first weekend in August. It wasn't a sudden change. There were still many complaints before this date as they were shutting at 5pm for first two weeks of summer holidays. Crazy. They kept saying it was to be considerate to neighbours, but saying that the traffic when closing at 5pm is worse than when closing at 6pm due to it being rush hour and traffic in the area busier than normal so that didn't make much sense either.
  15. Check page 7 of the document to show the redeveloped areas. Those who went to the open days were told those areas would likely have the rides removed.
  16. It's part of the development plan that was put in earlier this year. It looks like you've commented on it above. Anyway the official document from the Chessington site. Unless you're solely referring to the gruffallo bit at the bottom in which case time will tell. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.chessington.com/downloads/plan/local-residents/future-development-display-boards-2016.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwichrv34srOAhWoDcAKHbLtDSEQFggaMAA&usg=AFQjCNHjK8-tThRkIS0Gf_nM17hGHh1ZQQ
  17. Thorpe Park used to get busy in the late 90s on their midnight closes. They offered a discounted ticket after 4pm and this encouraged people to come. Summer nights wasn't popular as it was a separate ticket and only the big coasters were open rather than the whole park. Its purely how the park manage a later opening as to whether it would be popular or not.
  18. I actually prefer the park having some closed days as they can use those days to properly sort out any minor issues and actually clean properly.
  19. At BPB they still insist on the stamp just incase the wristband has been somehow removed and placed onto another wrist. This is what I was told when I asked why I needed my hand stamped earlier this year.
  20. Can't imagine it being Chessington as that has some of the cleanest water to be found on a log flume.
  21. So this is Professor Burp.... (I don't know why the picture has pasted with stuff in another language underneath. Bizarre)
  22. Check out some pictures of the old posters and station on the British Dark Rides Project Facebook page. Brings back memories of the real Bubbleworks. https://www.facebook.com/britishdarkrides/photos/?tab=album&album_id=755965204471431
