So... About this "Wood You?" Facebook Post...
Deleted Users replied to daboywunda's topic in The Future
The fact that they posted a picture of a Mega that doesn't technically exist any more points towards how seriously we should be taking this. I hope they post a picture of a Zacspin or 4D just to really rally people up. -
The poll is really badly phrased if they want an accurate response.

For the sake of discussion I'm going to ignore the huge legal and monetary issues and just say there is a difference between effects such as The Swarm's fireball that enhance a ride and almost all of the effects found on Spider-Man/Harry Potter which are required to tell a story. Even one of the effects breaking can destroy the ride experience. If a company can't consistently get some water fountains or mist working then I have doubts about their ability to make something more complex.

The smallest fansites have the best sources.

And Kilimanjaro Safaris gets away with no height restriction at all.

I nominate Marc Simpson.

That's not really the way democracy works.

Bonus points for guessing the queue's water level?

I'm not I'd classify an area without actors a scare zone but the ideas your describing could go down well. The main problem I see is that you need it to be pretty dark to be effective which even with a 10pm close isn't a large portion of the day.

I don't really find any of the current mazes scary but at least Asylum and Curse are fun. E10 in 2011 was good but last year it seemed to crumble. Honestly I'd rather have Hellgate and Se7en back rather than the newer mazes. Unless this becomes a premium separate ticket event I don't see the whole scare zone thing happening. You would have to employ a huge amount of actors to make it worthwhile. Some props, smoke machines and changing of light gels really should be added though. The music was pretty forgettable on the whole last year as well.

Florida Tower Cali/Paris Tower Tokyo Tower "Hollywood Tower Hotel... Yes Ma'am that will be sent up immediately. And, oh yes, please let me know when your children are finished playing with the garden shears. The gardener would like them back."

The face of a killer. I can just see myself getting a WiiU for this one game...

Ugh dragons... how blasé. The Dark Forest needs some controlling mastermind.

Every pretzel loop is great.

Yeah I have no idea how this is going to work. If it is Intamin I really doubt it will be Lex Luthor restraints since they function more like lapbars.

^ Sorry more of Dota person.

But that's the thing. People were so driven by his post that they felt the need to sign up just to try and prove him wrong. Though yes after that it got ridiculous. If the trim activating rumors are true, is there no way to deactivate them during the first few morning tests so the ride can warm up?

I do really like the music but I was far less appreciative of it in a long queue which at points has it playing very loudly. I think if anyone else had said that there would had have been far less outrage (minus the "British are stupid" comments). He even said the ride still looked really fun. Frankly two coasters in one I can only see as a positive in the UK where our coasters are so short normally.

Jealous that the inside effects were working in that video. Reports are coming in that Fast Track is already being sold. Rather surprising if true considering the problems.

To be honest almost every park did until recently. The lower height restriction would be cool too. Mack Megacoaster or something with lapbars and I'm happy.
-
I could see a Megalite going down well with some sort of splashdown ending. I really wish Intamin would sort their restraints out though.

A 6 year old coaster and a spinner at that is a bit different to Britain's most popular park failing to open it's first 1.4m coaster since 2005. Oh and failing numerous times. If Towers didn't think people would be bothered, they wouldn't have been offering compensation and selling Double Joy tickets earlier in the season. The cost of free tickets and reopening The Sanctuary (only for it to be near walk on during Easter) must be rather large. Mini-review: the ride is good but you can definitely see how it may have been rush job after the rumoured prototype falling through. In the short term people will lap it up but I am worried about the rattle developing. It's not bad now bar the cobra exit and following inversion but we shall see I guess. Hated the outside queue. EDIT: Just remembered something else. Ended up seeing a some fanboys use the single rider queue near the end of the day and after the bag drop go into the main queue. This is really not on and if a member of staff physically has to block the main queue stairs then so be it.

The family slant is somewhat lost when a guy is wearing a "SEXY" tee behind the girl.
