I don't understand why they don't just put seatbelts on the rides, Kali river rapids has seat belts on.

After going last year all I would say is DO NOT use the lynx bus systems, everyone tells you its so easy yady yada they are TERRIBLE! We looked into it and despite it being a long ass bus journey it was going to save us some dollars got on the bus and the driver was about as enthusiastic as victor meldrew and wasn't helpful at all when trying to explain we wanted to go the Disney presented him with a $10 note all we had was notes as just arrived and he goes coins or get of the bus! Charming! As much as the paid for taxi to Disney costs it makes life so much more easier and you don't have to deal with moody bus drivers.

I think I'm hoping to much but I would love the red arrows skyforce ride design to go in its space. With loggers leap also SBNO and speculation on samurais fate now, theres a large corner of the park that houses closed rides and is basically empty.

I finally got to go to this park the weekend just gone and I've got to say I really enjoyed it. Valhalla was incredible and really shows what a water ride should be like it definitely competes with if not bests some American water rides I've been on. I was impressed by the queue times as we were only there 3 hours and crammed in a lot.

I hope the park take serious action against them. Its one thing to break into the park let alone to try and climb one of the uks tallest roller coasters.

Thank you for the heads up, before visiting sea world I'd got my friend keen on rides and theme parks and ever since she's been quite withdrawn and not wanted to go on any rides for fear of being embarrassed.

This probably sounds like a really odd questions but does anyone know if the rides are suitable for slightly larger women, me and my friend went to florida last year and after heading straight to mako where they struggle to close the lap bar they took her of the ride and said that she would probably find the same case with most of the rides and has since put her of.

Rumba rapids has been in a dire state for years now, after riding Kali river rapids I never want to go on rumba again, its just dreadful! I can't believe there actually removing what little theming the ride had. I can only hope there doing something what with cutting the trees to actually improve the ride but being under Merlins control I won't hold out much hope.

I would create a large Victorian house on the island behind stealth and swarm. Advertisement would focus on a historical recreation tv show where they are rebuilding an old Victorian house that once stood in the marshes of Thorpe Park a century ago, however in the rebuilding many horrible accidents start occurring a worker is shown being flung out of a large grand Victorian window, another worker is shown bursting into flames and another worker dies of fright with white hair. The island would house the large grand Victorian house which the left side would have some collapsed scaffolding for theming and the large grand Victorian window would be smashed as in the advert with a shadowy figure seen standing there and the entrance of the queue line would be the chalk mark of the spot where the man fell to his death and the blood stain. Entering the house into the grand foyer with a corpse hanging from the grand chandelier which has a dropping feature that frightens those beneath, there is a large painting with red glowing eyes and a large beastly dog with jaws opens and the dog head lunges out from the painting at those walking past, the grand staircase creaks as you walk up it and the stairs move slightly up and down, at the top of the stair case is a statue with talons and hands over its face that every so often moves the talons to lunge at those in front of it. They then head down a long tight corridor where the ceiling gets lower as you get to the end creating the illusions its closing in on you and there are mannequin hands all the way along the wall which you brush past with moaning and groaning noises in the dark. Once you turn the corner there is a burning mannequin which rapidly moves towards you separated by Perspex glass and you then pass into a large room where babies cries are heard and a cot is seen rocking by a window, the room suddenly illuminates red and the baby screams and from behind some boxes a scary woman mannequin raises from the floor shouting "get away from my baby" There is then a large Victorian kitchen with a furnace with a skeleton hand reaching out, a meat grinder with meat coming out and a human body passing through, there is a bowl of soup with eye balls floating in this is the waiting area to be loaded into a large dark room, the floor begins to shake from side to side and then drops suddenly repeatedly several times Upon exiting there are dark corridors with breathing and whispering sounds and there is a scene with mannequins around a séance table being videoed, "within these walls we call upon the spirits, to join us here, let us behold the cryings of the very earth here" They then head down a dark corridor "you want to be just like all the other boys don't you? Your to small as you are, I've always thought you could do with being taller, so has the master and miss. This will do that for you and I can help you, mmhaha" They are then loaded into standing frames which look like stretching racks and the frames are sent whizzing along a track with stretching sounds down a long corridor with strobe lighting with the grand Victorian window at the end and the masked figure skeleton hands and long neck with demon head stretch out of the cloak and reach out at the riders as they stop infront of it and the rider then drops vertically and they then briefly travel and are unloaded from the racks in the cellar and head down a dark corridor "My beautiful boy argh ha, NOOO! "I'LL KILL YOU ALL FOR THIS! The lights then flash and reveal Victorian staff mannequins being hanged "And so the land would cry till the end of time, for all the souls that had been lost on this land that could not leave their pain and suffering behind and to be tormented for so long but all they could do was tormented any and all who stood there ground". There would be an Old English themed shop with photo collection from the ride upon exit into the building.

Maybe a petition to get loggers leap back would give Merlin the kick up the backside it needs to actually spend some money on the maintenance and work needed to bring the ride back up to scratch.

The way Merlin are handling the situation is frankly embarrassing, it feels as if nobody there knows what's going on with it which is what is winding everyone up. Considering they've had a whole year to look over the ride and make there decision its pretty piss poor and highlights there lack of professionalism that there sending out mixed messages in tweets really isn't helping the situation. I will be gutted if the ride has been removed even if they plan to replace it with a roller coaster in the future, I don't want a roller coaster I want a log flume/water attraction as a like for like replacement if you will. Without it they only have Tidal wave as I would rather have a coffee enema than ride storm dirge.

I will be gutted if Evolution has left the park, bar The Scenic Roller Coaster it was the best ride there

Saw the posters all around the site on my recent visit and I didn't really understand how a ride of the tonight show would really work, I imagine it to be Americas I'm a celebrity type attraction, from that video I hope it will be better than my anticipation...

2017: The Year of Water Given a proper spruce up Loggers Leap would re-open summer 2017 The ride station is spruced up now with storage for bags (because who wants to get there bags soaked) The ride starts of passing by a figurine cutting a tree with water spurting out from holes in the tree and little animal figures poking out from the holes in the tree The those in the ride queue can use water guns that look like otters to soak the riders A bear appears from behind a tree and roars and the car travels into the tunnel lift hill, in the tunnel lift hill saw blades are suddenly activated when side by side and illuminated and one large saw blade over head for the drop in the dark on the corner there is a lumberjack hacking wood where water spurts from the log and you exit the tunnel The bird figurine has been repainted and bursts water from its mouth, the water flow system over head has been updated with holes in to leak onto the riders, a large tree with a face sneezes and a large burst of water is sprayed at riders Tree's are arranged to be died together overhead creating a tree tunnel with dangling dream catchers and at the end of the tunnel a saw suddenly cuts through the tree overhead Then you ascend for the final drop with creaking and buzz saw sounds played and when you reach the top a shout of TIMBER and the ride returns to the station passing the open area Rumba Rapids would be Re-themed to a volcanic adventurers journey and given a suitable re-theme with seat belts added - station turned into a volcano, tribal figurine with blow pipes that spurt water intermittently, sprinklers placed inside the building re-themed to a crystal diamond treasure cave where a stolen artifact causes the storm, escaping back outside a skeleton army stands on the cliff sides chanting, the large area now has a large rock with a demon skeleton face painted on and increased power water guns, the shower head replaced with a large water eruption volcano Advertisement begins with the a storm is coming slogan 2018: The island behind stealth opens with a Mack spinning launched coaster and a 200ft launching freefall tower The island has a large rocky faced structure which houses the roller coaster it's queue line, the launch tower and queue line, shop and photo op, restaurant and toilets Tempest coaster- Queue line meanders through caverns, ride launches through lightning, thunder sounds and effects with sprinklers for rain, into a banked bend passing a car figurine banging on the glass, into an s-bend through the wreckage of a sinking make shift house where the collapsing ceiling drops with creaking noises, straight through an area of sprinklers thunder and lightning effects and suddenly falling tree's, airtime hill with strong wind fans into a banked corner and into a climbing helix with the downward helix passing on the outside at the same time, drops down through area of sprinklers and sparking electric post, into a top hate over an impaled man figurine, straight ahead with fans and sprinklers, thunder and lightning effects, barrel roll over mannequin hands reaching out of sinking car sunroof, climb a hill to drop down into a corkscrew and into the downward helix, straight ahead past large bursts of water, repeated growing hills through wind, rain and thunder effects and returns to the station. Vertigo free fall tower- With cavern queue line and running water from top of tower as you launch 2019: A quiet year or much needed TLC around the park

For me it depends on what happens with loggers on what I'd rather, if Loggers is removed there'll only be Tidal wave! (I don't include storm surge as I hate the ride) and rumba is just to tame! if thats the case an intamin aquatrax would be great in its place if it re opens I'd love a woodie.

After visiting recently I can see that its the weaker of the ride selection from the lack of a queue time, I could literally have re-rode this all day on my visit it was walk on pretty much all day, so from that point I guess choosing kraken makes sense but I'm sceptical over VR.

I really hope that loggers comes back, after visiting this year its presence in the line up was sorely missed, without your left with storm dirge or get completely drenched on Tidal wave and seeing how popular log flumes are in america (and finally experiencing them) I hope they can bring the ride back up to standard.

2016: New indoor dark ride opens set in a victorian warehouse 3D Pre-show: A paranormal team are shown investigating the workhouse as they discover a furnace where children skeletons jump up clutching at the bars and reaching out at the audience as they turn to exit the room there friend stands in the doorway with black eyes and she pounces on the man next to the camera man and attacks him with blood spurting everywhere and he runs to the corridor, he hears a banging and turns to see the house master brandishing a chain coated with sharp blades and coated in blood he whips the chain against the floor and he turns to run when his colleagues evil black eyed face dark mouth opens over the screen as the camera drops to the ground childrens spirits are seen gathering at the doorways watching and each one begins screaming when everything goes black and then the colleague faces then lunges infront of the camera and the eyes bleed out as she scratches at her face before a blade comes through her head and the head drops out of the way to reveal a child spirit which then wales loudly and throws the camera away They then board trains as the riders pass a banging door where a child is heard crying and screaming and then a skeleton breaks through the door reaching out at the riders, which is crushing a child and then turn to face a child playing with eerie broken dolls when she turns and her large mouth opens and she travels quickly forward at the riders Above the riders a large loom weave is shown with crushed body parts and a trapped bleeding and broken child trapped in the machine crying for help and then a child crying is shown, lights go out and large demon is revealed, they then arrive traveling around and down to the dining hall where bones, and organs are on the table and a cloaked figure stands over a cauldron, the cloak drops of to reveal the master demon and he shouts "feast on the flesh of your friend or he shall feast upon thou" the ride cars spin around and then turn to face a large door with skeleton hands reaching out pleading, "I'm hungry" "please sir I won't do it again" "I can't breathe" A child is then shown sleeping cuddled up to a corpse when the corpse then suddenly strangles the child, an open cell shows a girl bleeding hands hair over face and scratched walls as her hair opens revealing a scratched face, the ride car turns to a deathly skinny child lunging from the ground and crying out for food "There is darkness in all of us" a screen shows the riders the image captured of themselves at the start of the ride with blacked out eyes "to escape it we only need to let in the light" The lights come on and reveal a large sharp metal teethed mouth lunging over the ride and large sharp metal claws spinning near the riders as the the ride then passes through

2015: Neptunes Beach replenishment to accomodate the loss of ranger county family rides Hammerhead: Bumper boats ride on smaller side of beach Wave rider- on smaller side of beach Hydra: A topple tower themed around the Greek mythological creature on the large part of the beach 2016: The Walking Dead: The Ride The building taking ranger county and the arena's spaced is based around the prison from the walking dead, the queue line features manequins styled like the zombies, corpses and bones, an abandoned car with christian crosses on, body bags. In the indoor queue line you walk past the don't open dead inside with manequin hands poking out, then through an area of water tanks with zombies heads in and past a map with terminus on. They then enter an area where video is taken of the riders as they are asked to do there best zombie impression and then to the station and board the trains for a spiderman style 3D ride. Scene 1: The ride starts of in a mall collecting supplies when the roof starts caving in on the group and they rapidly try to escape as walkers fall in on screens above the riders also when Merle arrives and helps the group escape as a helicopter crashes, passing the helicopter crash site with animatronic zombies the riders with jump scares and animatronics startlingly revealed Scene 2: The screen then shows a small town where they become over run by a group of walkers who get one of the group and they are spurted with water, then the governor arrives and chaos ensues as he beheads a member of the group after the screens the riders pass through two cars with air riffle shoot out Scene 3: An army tank with the governor on top blasts a large jet of air at the riders, screen shows the destruction of the prison as it is over run with walkers, michone is then shown beheading the governor, a little girl mannequin is then shown facing away and when asked ok it quickly turns around to startle the riders and the ride plunges into darkness Scene 4: Screen then show open flickering eyes to a troff and a man standing over the riders with a machete the screen then shows a man's throat slit next to the riders as they are spurted with water, the ride then tilts down as the screen shows the troff with blood in and the rider pushes forward and the screens acts disorientated as the ride then drops down passing through the cannibals shrine with hanging torsos to a bus that rushes at the ride Scene 5: Passing a large grate with animatronic walkers shaking it a screen then shows a person being savagely bitten in the neck as the group then wait with then and mourn there loss as they die before they shoot them in the head, they then pass several tents with animatronics that push against and groaning sounds and then a pass a hanging zombie animatronic from a tree, a horde of zombies then cover the screen as water and air are spurted on the riders and the car shakes from side to side, the screen shows video of the riders which was taken before the ride with the riders made up as zombies The riders then exit in a second station with the cars returning empty to the original station There is then a photo opportunity with a zombie mannequin and rick sheriff hats and they exit to the shop where they can purchase video or photo and the walking dead items

With all this talk about how the ride just looks like another abandoned warehouse stereotypical setting and how they don't need another Saw like IP, it would make me laugh if they revealed this ride to be a Saw dark ride....

If you look at it like that storm surge has a massive footprint whilst its a rubbish ride and looks incredibly ugly yet they choose that....

When I saw the prison sort of looking entrance I kind of got my hopes up and wished for a prison styled walking dead dark ride but then I saw the thorpe depot, IP or own theme aside a dark ride is a much needed addition and a good strategy to change as despite the swarm being a great coaster people seem bored for now of roller coasters at Thorpe Park
