I wonder what Thorpe will do with that expanse of space where SAW Alive was (still is?) for the 2013 season - my guess is absolutely naff all. "What's that queue line fencing over there for?" "Oh, nothing whatsoever" I'm sure Thorpe have removed all traces of Canada Creek railway for 2013 too! Also - does anyone think the professor/scientist character outside X with the alien/robot chasing him has any relevance to the retheme...?

I am officially a possibility for this - kudos to Peaj for his organising skills and behind the scenes numbers-drumming-up, btw! In short - my gf doesn't do theme parks really, and I tend to only see her at weekends as she's in Pompey, I'm in Farnborough - so it's a case of getting the OK for it, ha!

I think the billboard is a fab addition to the ride - but I do wonder what the cost of that billboard could've achieved if spent elsewhere on the park! I love the Swarm (sorry, SWARM) and SWARM Island, but I do question Thorpe's priorities sometimes. If there's no new X and only 1 train on Swarm to start the season, this would be a monumentous fail on Thorpe's part

As said before, I am a Slammer fan but TP can't/won't keep fixing it or sticking a plaster on it if the cost isn't justified. Let's just hope that if Slammer does go, then the money they've "saved" can be spent elsewhere... that elusive Colossus repaint could edge ever closer!

I love Slammer - in my view, Thorpe Park will be looking at it cost-wise on a year-by-year basis. After all the work done on the ride in 2012, they will be looking to run it for 2013 as much as possible... if there's still more downtime despite this work, then 2014 will become questionable.

I think that's all part of the "thrill" of Storm Surge. Ahem. Nothing better than wet shoes and socks for the rest of the day!

This x1000. Reverse Swarm just smacks of desperation, especially when there are so many rides that need some TLC... or just need a lick of paint.

I'll have you know those abandoned bits of metal don't just rust themselves you know... oh no wait It's a shame that the outside queue is so bad really. Can't imagine queuing in that cattle pen for hours on end - one of the reasons I will never entertain the idea of visiting TP on a peak day!

I think my Top Spin sarcasm was wasted, ha Another FN only opening for SAW Alive would be pretty poor but by all accounts that's the best that can be hoped for. It's beyond me who thought a year-round horror maze would work anyway, let alone the wage bill involved. Anyway - Thorpe have gone very quiet about the "other" changes for 2013...

Maybe TP could make Storm Surge go backwards in 2014? I'm not expecting much from The Crash Pad, looks wise.... come on Merlin, surprise me!

I remember going to CWOA when I was about 10 or 11 and being nervous about going through the dark "tunnel" in the queue into the main hall with the animatronic organist!

Just read elsewhere on here that Samurai is going to be down for the rest of the year... that's gutting for FNs as it is a bit of queue eater (when it zeros correctly). Fingers crossed Slammer makes a recovery in time... I intend on going to FN's on the first Friday - I would never entertain the idea of going on one of the Half Term days I'm looking forward to The Passing, and don't for once mind paying out extra for it, if it means a more intense experience. E10 last year was a welcome addition, and I echo the sentiments about The Curse - been pants every time I've been through it sadly. Wonder what will happen to SAW:Alive for 2013 season? Having that large area with cattlefencing queue just sitting there again looks pretty bad in my opinion... then I wonder if Merlin actually care about this or not.

If 2013 is a quiet year, and the other Sky Swat in the world closes, Thorpe could advertise Slammer as a "world first" :DI do ride it whenever it's open - fingers crossed now it is open, Slammer has a good year!

What, Slammer is working?! I couldn't tell you the last time I rode it... I have a love/hate feeling towards the sensation it gives you of your head feeling like it's going to burst!

Was mentioned elsewhere - anyone got a high quality recording of the SWARM noise for text-message notification purposes? #geek

When does the SAW IP end? Will SAW Alive be back in 2013? Doesn't bode well with selected opening, but as has been said, the quality of actors/scares in the maze varied wildly with it being open "24/7"... maybe the area will have a flat ride once "SAW" leaves Thorpe Park?
