Stealth
Would assume so, as this implies it's scheduled maintenance. Would be a little nervy if you were going on the 18th but I'm sure she'll be fine by 21st!

Just a note to all Stealth fans (and especially @planenut) - Stealth is down for planned maintenance on Monday 17th June. I can't believe Stealth is 18 years old this year, bless 'er.

Rode yesterday 3 times - rows 4, 6 and 7. Have to say - the operations were impeccable, both loading and getting the trains out, and the queueing system which worked faultlessly. Credit where credit is due there, brilliant stuff. Managed to get on when the queue hit it's lowest point of 60 minutes for our second ride as we just came off the - ever failing it seems - Colossus. FYI, we got to the park at 9am, got into the queue for Hyperia before the SAW photo area and we ended up riding at 10.30 so cannot complain one bit to be honest. First ride itself was pure euphoria, absolutely incredible. That hill just keeps going and going - especially when not at the front! Drop was great and punchy - loved the outer bank towards the motorway but the hangtime stall element is just bonkers. Loved it. 2nd ride of the day definitely seemed faster/more intense, as did the 3rd later on in the day. Such an awesome atmosphere in the area, everyone excited, whooping and clapping on the trains. The Hyperia shows were a nice touch too. Well done all round - I will say they might need to replace some of the plants though as they tend to need water, and some are very brown ð Mad that this ride is in the UK to be honest!

I reckon you've hit the nail on the head here!

They're riding it so they can break it ready for my visit tomorrow, as prophesised. I'll be straight in that guest services queue at midday xox

This thought did cross my mind, I can't lie...

FAQ now corrected to remove the references to Saturday 8th June. Could imply it's not opening any time soon... or could just be one department talking to the other... or could be changed within hours, who knows.

Very good point. Rumour has it I don't even have an annual pass, or more importantly, the true enthusiast badge of honour, a RAP ðŪ

Yeah that looked a close one.... possibly looks worse than it is because of the angle though, but even so! I've changed my booking to Wednesday 12th now. Can't do 13th/14th for work commitments so I figure best to go on Wednesday and allow another day of testing and prep than go tomorrow and then be annoyed if I miss it by a day. If no Hyperbae on Wednesday, then I'll see her in September once the schools are back.

Indeed. The socials have been hinting of something coming. One would assume that once the park opens today, it would be relatively apparent if they plan to open tomorrow due to moving around fencing etc..... orrrrr they could just do that after hours ð I've got 11th prebooked but if nothing by midday will be switching to the 12th as it lets me do that...

They're going to have to update the Hyperia availability page tonight as it says to check back for availability after the 8th June...

Yes! Two test runs already completed!

Fingers crossed for you! Monday isn't impossible provided we see a train up that lift hill soon. All this said, Tuesday is just speculation, albeit with some evidence. Monday soft unplanned re-opening, Tuesday proper re-opening?

Dean on X with this nugget of information - makes sense... and that's not just because the 11th is the day we are booked for Train with dummies is now in the station, with staff checking restraints etc... looks like test runs are imminent. Two staff members just headed up the lift hill with some grease/lubricant or similar. I'm not obsessed I swear.

True, but announcing it's opening the night before it's due to reopen is still an announcement, right? ð

BBC opening with "...closed for the forseeable future" ...which I suppose is technically true in that, a date is not confirmed, but also, a bit dramatic and negative.... but then - clicks are clicks innit. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3ggnedn9rmo

I honestly think what's gonna happen now is, without fanfare, the night before it's due to open, Thorpe will say "It's opening tomorrow guyz" and that way no one can really moan. Ish.

Hyperia
If it does re-open on the 11th, do I get a certificate plz, thanks xox

Hyperia
It's gonna be the 11th innit. At least I'll get to experience opening day v2.0 haha. I guess that notice would imply that they need to get X amount of testing done and that won't be possible in less than 2 days...

Saw being added to the unavailable list for tomorrow soon I would imagine, unless it's quicker to get the parts in than it is get them out! EDIT: I might have spoken too soon - both the lifting clamps/struts have now come back down from the lift hill so maybe we are in luck.... fingers & wings crossed.

Indeed. I would anticipate that if Saturday is off the table, they would update tonight ideally, tomorrow at the latest. Not that I'm searching Hyperia on X on the daily (spoiler: I am), here's the latest: Someone else on Twi...X has spotted that the train has water dummies loaded on it already....

SAW remains closed tomorrow, ride availability page has been updated. Those chancing it for Saturday will be getting nervy...
