  1. Sheer guesswork tbh, a lot of them are so interchangeable, especially since some haven't been ridden for a decade or so... Though the top and bottom ones are easy to establish, no question... Only Tatsu and below are the ones I really don't enjoy...
  2. Bump for my list of ridden B&Ms: Nemesis Oz'Iris Katun Shambhala Raptor Oblivion Superman la Attraction de Acero Baron 1898 Krake Dragon Khan Black Mamba Oblivion - The Black Hole Batman la Fuga Dueling Dragons Ice Silver Star Diamondback Silver Bullet Medusa Kumba Air Nemesis Inferno Swarm Montu Apollo's Chariot Griffon SheiKra Kraken Batman (MM) Daemonen Raptor (CP) Dueling Dragons Fire Scream! Incredible Hulk Great Bear Tatsu Flug von Damonen Monster Riddler's Revenge Mantis Flight Deck Vortex
  3. I honestly didn't expect it to be THAT big... Though I guess with a walkthrough thing as well (sets from the show) it shouldn't be a surprise... But even so, it's damn impressive work...
  4. There was a video from Legoland Germany when they were putting in the massive Lego X-Wing in their Robo-Arm ride building which showed off a massive maintenance access door as well... Given that usually the building shell is built first before any ride mechanisms, of course it'll have a giant door so that construction vehicles can enter it... There's so much desperate jumping to conclusions for this thing, don't people know how much the trackless technology costs?
  5. It's a real shame that they've had to add seatbelts (as in, 3 point seatbelts) to the ride, even with lapbars... Preview event last night apparently went down very well, especially the scaremazes...
  6. They're relating their newer rides to the random dragon characters they have about the park, there's a statue of one in Chiapas' backwards disco room for example...
  7. Dragon spotted!
  8. Plopsaland recently tore down their Zierer Tivoli and replaced it with EXACTLY THE SAME MODEL... Purely because the first one was ancient... Track on rides does get replaced on a regular basis actually, with Hulk they've just decided to do it all at once in combination with a refurb (new trains/launch system/etc)... Which for some reason has caused the enthusiast community to panic for some strange reason...

Last decade more like... Let's be honest, as soon as S&S stopped producing actual components for it Slammer was doomed...
  10. Forbidden Journey also cost a darn sight more than £30m... Let alone the fact that it was done by Kuka... Granted apparently Simworx do have a robo-arm thing on a track too, but has another park actually built one? Do we really want another prototype ride with Thorpe's reliability? It'll probably be an experience type ride which in Merlin speak is 2/3 different ride types glued together...
  11. Even better news, Scenic will be opening this weekend on the 16th (according to the email I got this morning)!

Problem is in these situations is what can the 'normal' staff member do? They're not trained to deal with guests of certain natures, and usually the only solution is to call TLs or Security so they can deal with it instead... Having discussions with aggressive/demanding/idiotic guests can ruin a night completely for the staff member, especially as you can't really trust the clientele at Thorpe not to do something outrageously stupid... The other year weren't there a few security blokes stood around each maze? From an external company if I recall too, that's probably the solution...
  13. People do buy any old ride related merch though, especially if they can show it off within their enthusiast circles... *looks proudly at my Baron 1898 soap bar*
  14. Runnymede's influence stretches far indeed...
  15. Saying that B&M Stand-Ups are the smoothest isn't saying much about them, rides like Vortex or the formerly titled Iron Wolf are regarded as bloody dreadful... It's a position thing, that can't really be solved by restraint methods... Their future what with Mantis' refurb seem very much in doubt...

Is it really a surprise Big Top isnt great when they only just barely got it open for the preview night and the actors have had barely any preparation time? Everything else (reliability, Fastrack), is just classic Thorpe...

Well now it's just not worth going then is it?

I assuming the third closed ride is Sub Terra? Yeah, that's closed for actual reasons, rather than just being broken... 3 closed rides is Jamie's limit then, poor Thorpe...
  19. An SLC and a cure for insomnia masquerading as a hypercoaster isn't a great start to a ride lineup... For sheer volume of rides, perhaps its the best in the UK, but quality over quantity is what I say...
  20. This isn't a SFX coaster, the size of the track alone makes the building too small...
  21. The way some people are reacting to unwanted metal being on a scrapheap you'd think the ride was going for good... Hell they probably got decent money for what's being chucked, more than an auction might produce for certain...
  22. I've now ridden Baron, and hence all the European B&Ms... Y'all just basic to me now...
  23. Shame they'll be another £10/£15 on top per person...
  24. Usually those errors crop up because you haven't extracted the folder correctly and the game cannot read the files properly... Need to double check that the RandomThings folder isn't hiding in the RCT3/SCENERY/THEME directory via another folder, because the game cannot read it like that...
  25. Because the two As can be ignored because they're capitalised correctly... Even then, it means nothing... Just another puzzle piece that doesn't fit the jigsaw to keep the enthusiasts wanting...
