  1. Probably because it looks better with that insane lighting package they did for it... Nothing short of lazy though, expect that from Merlin parks...

The real question is, when are IMA going to release the entire 75 minutes worth?
  3. Shows are a LOT more expensive than rides to run, especially one that would involve fire and other effects... The UK needs to embrace some shows, but most of the ones we do are really crap... Indeed, the only reason enthusiasts seemed to like this year's Mutiny Bay offering was because it was very panto humour... Something that doesn't translate well to big shows...
  4. Shambhala at night is This is a new thing for me, pictures of Boomerangs at the moment they release... The sheer range of potential emotions is just amazing... That being said, Launched rides are always the best for reactions... And as we all know, B&Ms are insanely photogenic... Possibly my favourite photo ever, the sheer dumb luck of timing with the ORP flash that lights it up makes the picture...
  5. I think it has to be that way or some such nonsense to keep it in line with historical documents... Probably, I'm wildly guessing here...
  6. London Bridge Experience rip off? Probably will be some London history themed attraction then looking at that... Like the idea of a London Bus Ride... EDIT - Someone discovered that Merlin have been involved in the trademark of "Shakespeare's England"... Could be the theme... If so, it'll rake it in... http://www.ipo.gov.uk/tmcase/Results/1/UK00003010777
  7. Benin commented on Mitchada04's blog entry in Florida 2013
If I recall their Dragon is an extended Vekoma Roller Skater (as in, it existed before Merlin took over, and they added the dark ride section onto the start and end)...
  8. The first two things you'll see going into the area from the park entrance are pay extra games... What is this Wild Asia?
  9. And will still be a higher pph than G-Force...
  10. Tis starting to take shape now... Facebook
  11. Well, part of it anyway, I don't think it's technically owned by anyone but after years of having so many different attractions and very few staying permanently (bar really, the Aquarium and Namco long term), I wouldn't be surprised if Lambeth Council will be happy to take more of Merlin's money... As for what it could be, the only brand that isn't there atm Midway wise is a Discovery Centre... Whether that's a viable concept due to being near Legoland (even though this will be sold towards day tourists in the centre, which is fair enough, the others are) is arguable, but unless Merlin are using their imaginations for a completely new brand then that's my bet...
  12. I've heard it could well be a Zamperla Air Race... I hope so, would actually mean Drayton have a good varied selection of thrill rides if nothing else...
  13. Benin replied to Marc's topic in General Discussion
The entirity of June is 10-6?That's impressive... Might hopefully kick off a desire for the parks to have decent opening hours a bit more regularly...
  14. Still waiting on Windsor to get some Robo-Arms tbh... That being said, I'd prefer the Legolands to have some individuality to themselves, rather than cloning all the rides (a la Dragon, even if they do variate by manufacturer/layout slightly)...
  15. Methinks we're confusing Windseekers and Starflyers... http://mondialrides.com/towerrides/all/wind-seeker http://www.funtime.com.au/data/index2.htm Whilst similar, Starflyers use chain connectors to the seating whilst Windseekers use solid steel beams (which in high winds cause them to flay wildly, yes Mark9, more wildly than the Starflyer at Tivoli did)...
  16. I swear we had one, but it's clear we don't... This is for alllll the Legolands (and Discovery Centres in the world), and to start this off with a bang... http://www.legoland.dk/en/About-LEGOLAND/Press/Press/press_ghost/ Ghost is a £3.6 million investment including 2 floors of themed stuff, a mirror maze and drop tower finale... It looks AMAZE <3
  17. Testing video ahoy! Looks good, and if the music playing is the ride's theme? Offfft...
  18. Benin replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
Dunno why Merlin gets the blame for Bubbles, or Charlie... Then again, Dark Forest...
  19. I would say they would hope that an Angry Birds show would require an actual queueline rather than a batching area... As Marc says, it'll probs be like Ice Age 4D, including a crappy green screen photo op no doubt...
  20. I'm surprised there hasn't been any visible application for it considering the Dodgems are a new building technically... Or does it come under the MTDP location indicators? If so that's what to look at to pinpoint the area...
  21. Benin replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
They'd repainted the track last year anyway, so it's not that big a deal...
  22. Benin replied to Theme Park bloke's topic in The Real World
Depends what courses they're doing, probably sommat rubbish like Media or Game design... That thing is ridiculous though... Actually pathetic behaviour from people to act like that because they got told off for being too loud... Can't help but think they won't exactly go far in life with such attitudes... Shows how unlucky you can be at uni in regards to halls as well...
  23. They were on Facebook (Josh shared two of them if I recall)... They probably deleted them since...
  24. Benin replied to Benin's topic in UK Attractions
Having a big stage though will add some cost to it if they're gonna put in a decent system... £8m should go reasonably far though...
