Alton Towers Trip Reports
Remember taking my uni mates on it (one of whom hadn't done a ride before at all before that day) and they were both pretty amazed by the whole thing... Seeing someone look so confused and grip onto the lapbar in fear was amazing <3

It's not running properly though, they're turning seats BACKWARDS! Also, why do it on a Wednesday morning when most people will be at work? I mean I'm fortunate in that I might be able to get away with grabbing some tickets at that time, but not everyone will be able to... Thorpe's services to guests do leave a lot to be desired at times...

Sorta PR that the park should be doing tbh, not an overally stupid topic, gets the park mentioned and is rather interesting...

Wasn't that one of the days were none of the people trained to go up there weren't in?

Coaster trains aren't THAT difficult to push actually, I've pushed the Vampire trains a few times (empty AND full) and due to the design it's all about getting that little bit of extra starting momentum to get it going... When Stealth gets stuck, it only needs a wee push in either direction to go down... And the latest pics on FB show it's still there...

Taken by Thorpe themselves... Just checking the track really, nothing actually special as it's typical of maintenance of track based objects, checking visually for cracks and the like... That zipwire is used for access to the top, will forever be there...

A ride at Towers trying to pretend it's perfectly safe and happy? Wonder where that came from?

Both Runaway Trains in the country do have PA announcements... It's probably a result of age and Chessie's view of interaction...- The Smiler
Wait, did I visit TowersStreet? I can't play this cos Windows Phone superiority- Music

Towers confirmed a while back it'll be 4 rows of 4... And I would hope it works on a blocking system, I'd be worried if they decided not to...- Heide Park
Fair, though knowing my experience with most American variations of our European ones, I'd take Europe every day of the week... There's something about bland, unthemed, highly generic rides which just never sits right with me...- Cedar Point
AMERICA! I mean... Seriously? A melted chocolate egg with ANGRY EYES? That design </3- The Smiler
Not really, Oblivion's length comes mostly through the 180ft odd drop and tunnel, it's extremely minimal but the height factor means that the length is actually reasonable... Smiler also has a second lift hill, automatically making it take longer...- Heide Park
The odds on an European park building something American sized isn't very likely... Katun/Monster are about the only exceptions I can think of...- Chessington 2013
Maybe you'd be right if we weren't talking about Chessie- Chessington 2013
Stripped down version of this please... Alternatively... Either are acceptable- Heide Park
If it uses the terrain... Well... Wing-Riders- The Smiler
The huge slab of concrete that will be covered by paving... So it won't be ugly, it'll be full of people right underneath the ride in one massive plaza looking up at a giant ride and spider... - Vampire
