Wasn't that one of the days were none of the people trained to go up there weren't in?

Coaster trains aren't THAT difficult to push actually, I've pushed the Vampire trains a few times (empty AND full) and due to the design it's all about getting that little bit of extra starting momentum to get it going... When Stealth gets stuck, it only needs a wee push in either direction to go down... And the latest pics on FB show it's still there...

    This is just... Wow...

Taken by Thorpe themselves... Just checking the track really, nothing actually special as it's typical of maintenance of track based objects, checking visually for cracks and the like... That zipwire is used for access to the top, will forever be there...

A ride at Towers trying to pretend it's perfectly safe and happy? Wonder where that came from?

Both Runaway Trains in the country do have PA announcements... It's probably a result of age and Chessie's view of interaction...

Towers confirmed a while back it'll be 4 rows of 4... And I would hope it works on a blocking system, I'd be worried if they decided not to...
  12. Fair, though knowing my experience with most American variations of our European ones, I'd take Europe every day of the week... There's something about bland, unthemed, highly generic rides which just never sits right with me...
  13. AMERICA! I mean... Seriously? A melted chocolate egg with ANGRY EYES? That design </3

Not really, Oblivion's length comes mostly through the 180ft odd drop and tunnel, it's extremely minimal but the height factor means that the length is actually reasonable... Smiler also has a second lift hill, automatically making it take longer...
  15. The odds on an European park building something American sized isn't very likely... Katun/Monster are about the only exceptions I can think of...
  16. Maybe you'd be right if we weren't talking about Chessie
  17. Stripped down version of this please... Alternatively... Either are acceptable
  18. If it uses the terrain... Well... Wing-Riders

The huge slab of concrete that will be covered by paving... So it won't be ugly, it'll be full of people right underneath the ride in one massive plaza looking up at a giant ride and spider...

They are forcing people to ride it to see the Giraffes/Rhinos/etc "up close"... But it won't be slow moving unless there's an animal in the way, these are proper HUGE Diesel (I guess) Jeeps, not on a track or whatever... It's a Safari though, all you have to do is look at how well received Disney's is (Animal Kingdom) to see that there is a market for it, and it's all part of their bringing Zoo and Park together ideas... It's an unique point for the British public and the addition of the 'finale' section shows that they are willing to add a little extra onto the attraction, hopefully bringing a story full circle... Been 5 years in the making this... I think the finale will make or break it...
  21. The service in Woodcutters has ALWAYS been speedy, t'other year on a weekend trip the person who ordered in front of me had their food appear as I was returning straight after them... Hex projector is probably the first pre-show, and the chants are apparently at the end of the ride sequence...
  22. To be fair to them, 8 bands and a day at the park (although it will be packed solid) for £55 is great value for money... I assume these bands are popular with the majority as well, or at least bands that will bring people in for headlining, and then the rest can get out there more... I wouldn't go (indeed, seems my genre of music will never be accepted due to connotations of popularity) but it'll be a success...
  23. Apparently they have concerts again this year... http://www.towersstreet.com/news/2013/2013-concert-confirmed/ What an AMAZING line up of acts.................................................
  24. Aye that be the situation, they're keeping tight lipped on it...
