What's that? Marc didn't notice my post mentioned that the other two parks' Fastrack fails on the busy days so links me to a topic I've already read and exists because of Towers' system failing on the first Saturday of Half Term? Yeah, I know Towers' system fails, and Chessie, but not on the consistently regular basis that happens at Thorpe...

Merlin didn't create paid for Fastrack... I'm not even sure if Tussauds did... But unfortunately some person a couple of years ago before Merlin realised it would work to gain extra income to enforce a paid system rather than the original free Disney-like system... Why? God knows, maybe they'd been to a Six Flags or sommat... Seen it done over there and the money side of their brain (it WAS the DIC era I think, which makes Merlin look like Disney) clicked and we result in this system today... Merlin of course, haven't improved the system, but are the numbers sold down to them, or the parks themselves? As Towers rarely oversell theirs as commonly as Thorpe's, same for Chessie, and their systems only really fail (at Towers and Chessie) on the exceptionally busy days, when it's not a surprise lots of people are buying it... I dunno really, it's not going away (and as mentioned Europa are planning on doing it soon, and that's deemed as the best park in the world at times) so what can the parks do? Limit the stuff so that the impact is as minimal as possible... But it seems like they don't want to do this for some reason... The only people who know are the Retail mob, because it's their decision, as quite often their over-selling has caused much tension between them and the Rides department...

Sounds good really, decent backstory, let's just hope there's some quality behind it eh? Would be surprised if they rethemed BK drastically... Minimal stuff will change I reckon... Just wish they'd give some form of themed subtitle to it...

Least Europa's throughputs can actually handle fastrack, dependant on what system they use... Watch Europa make paid fastrack amazing...

It COULD happen is a lot different to an incident actually happening though... No one had fallen off Tomb Blaster's queue in how many years? One kid does and then we get 6ft fencing everywhere... The modern world is so focused on danger preventation especially after incidents actually happen, and most rides that involve going over major pathways use nets in order to prevent these risks...

Dragons not duelling is more a result of the sue culture they have, cannot blame them for risk prevention when all it takes is one idiot to throw sommat at someone else and the injured person to sue them... Then court costs and a bad name... Not a good thing for any park... Any sensible park management would attempt to prevent any injuries, of course sometimes it can be overdone, but in the long run, they cannot be blamed...

My point was more than ever since NWO opened there have been rumours like this every single year... A case of believe it when I see it... As it is every year with NWO's improvements...

Not really... If it's the same style as a Eurofighter train, it wouldn't be exactly like two of them stuck together, more so adding two extra rows to the existing design... Would be quite small still really...

So yeah, Muse at the O2 on Friday, that was good, decent set for lighting and Matt prancing about everywhere blaring out his guitar... As for the new album, Unsustainable has grown on me, and live was pretty much an epic opening to a gig, with Survival being at the end and again being a decent finale song, so much cheese but <3 Supremacy is also good, with Madness having an exceptional laser show, same for Follow Me... Panic Station was also well received and a bit silly... Then the slow songs happen... God they're awful on the album, and not much better live... I just cannot get myself to like them and after Explorers (I think) the crowd was extremely subdued... Shame... Still, they played the usual mob of songs as well, the classics, including one very old one I hadn't heard before, and Stockholm Syndrome... Wahey... And the best moments of the night? Well...

If Mark thinks Universal is a better Thorpe, I dread to think how you'd feel about Cedar Point I obviously still disagree about the whole Mummy thing... Such a fab ride <3 And also I lambast you for not seeing Despicable Me yet STILL... God sake Mark..

More than that, as I'm sure it gets more people than Chessie (which is around 15k)...

Those old trains also added to the overall thematic experience, Translyvania hill with those bats coming off the second lift... Sigh... I miss them... I even remember the year it was closed due to the refurb and being disappointed...

Thorpe's operations are just so poor... I mean like, Passing had a 45 minute queue when I went last week Friday... How does that happen for a timed slot system?

What a weird layout... Especially the extensive tunnel... That'll cost a fortune to build...

Rides working at Thorpe in February? Arguable... But considering the state of Thorpe during their Half Term times, it's too difficult to judge... The different temperatures that affect the two parks (due to location, etc) will effect each a lot differently, it's a strange one, although I'd imagine if it was really cold Thirteen and Rita would be much more likely to stall...

No Sub Terra or Tea Cups is a big downer really... Dark Forest is never open early though, maybe the Hydraulics on the two attractions do not like the cold weather... Not a surprise that X Sector will not be open though...

There's lots of tall flume rides in the world that don't have restraints... Let alone some of the rapids... But knowing people, it probably is a matter of time as if people are stupid enough to jump into a Rapids ride (at both Thorpe and Alton), there will eventually be someone stupid enough to do it on Storm Surge... But of course, you could probably stand in Storm Surge's pond and not have anything happen to you...
