Oh thank god that it's 5 again... Should be better value for all photopasses now if that's a company-wide scheme...Det photos should be amusing though... Wonder how that'll be done tbh because unlike Apocalypse the seating goes all the way around... Would be good if they were mid-drop similar to Ice Blast's launched photos...Where would they be gotten as well? In a cheap box like Jumbos/Runaway or in the Animal (or whatever it is now) shop next door?

Not jumping down your throat really here, but you cannot really say for definite on your own personal experience which trains were better if you haven't ridden the old ones...Honestly though I cannot remember the actual riding or noise-making of the old trains, but they certainly looked the part... And based on how Big Bad Wolf and the other versions swing a lot more the actual riding bit was a lot better...I'd defo say the older trains are actually very comfy, and quicker to dispatch due to no seat-belts...I do like the floorless trains but would certainly prefer them to be actually themed... Never gonna happen though...Defo prefer the old trains though... Nothing beats the old memory of seeing it soar over the pathway as actual bats...

It's the neck things... I'm at such a height where the thin-ness of them really smack into me and it's painful...As I said, I found Maverick rough due to the restraints...Those restraints don't corner well... Simple as... A ride's roughness can also be based on how the restraints handle... Even some B&M's are rough (usually stand-ups because they are appauling)... In fact, restraints play a massive part in the ride's comfort zone, why else would people say Vekoma's with the new system have improved drastically? Roughness is not limited to wheels and kinks and other stuff...

Corkscrew I had no real trouble with towards the end of it's life as I was complete above the top of the restraints... I don't, it's a vile ride, doesn't stop Rita being rough though... Only exceptionally bad and unrideable in the back... Unlike Rita... These vary a lot... I found Maverick rough, so obviously it is Intamin's fault... Again... And why go on about it when you then give a reason as to why I find it rough? Sense? Ridden both, Goudurix is NOT as bad as people say, and Stampida I rode before Kumbak came in, so cannot comment...However, just because THESE rides might be rough DOES NOT automatically make Rita not rough... That's foolish to think... Besides, all rides PALE in comparison to Mean Streak, so I do know what I'm talking about...

Erm, yes it does...There are definitely some rides that get away with being rough...Rita however, is not one of them... Just just off the first turn it hurts...

Zafari Bar And Grill <3

First one of the season to report on Chessie as well as Towers? Why thankyou...Ok, it was only a zoo day, but I was down for the weekend with an empty Sunday ahead so me and peep (John) scurried over to Chessie to see how things were going on...Firstly, John missed his train from Waterloo so we ended up waiting for the 10:00 one from Clapham, so arrived around 10:30, and headed straight into Trail of the Kings...Was a very good day for the animals, as they were all very active, which makes a big change from the normal season, hopefully that'll keep happening, but there's the addition of a new radio in the gorilla area which sounds like it was stolen from Lego's Laser Raiders... Plus a new video in the Tiger area filmed by staff which is... Meh... Staff cannot act at theme parks... Duel, NWO and now this tell us that for certain...Sea-Lions have a new platform... Assuming it's for the staff during the shows...Creepy Caves still seems so out of place... Half of it is still shut but it does look like it's had some work done over the closed season... Not sure what to say about it...Buccaneer looks VERY shiny and new... I can't wait to see it up close in a few weeks...No Top Trumps in the shop yet Remedy this for opening please...Market Square toilets haven't changed at all... Dunno what the rest of the park is meant to be doing with the loos, but... I hope they have actually done something...The new Sales building looks cool, shame Truckers is going to suffer immensely from it and the addition of Fast-track... Sigh...Children's Zoo is... still meh... Even with Afro-Chickens, Ferrets, Gangser Ducks and CHARLIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE... They have Red Squirrels apparently now, but couldn't see them...Runaway's Fast-track looks like it'll be essentially where it was originally, joining up to the boiler... Don't mind that tbh cos it can half handle that...Few new birds here and there in the Monkey and Bird Garden... It'd be nice if they got some non-reflective glass or removed the bars in the future... Cos it's really annoying for photos...Wanyama has FENNEC FOXES OF JOY! They are awesome and sit right next door to the hut... Aside from them, surprised the Gazelle are in the old Agouti pen... Thought they'd be in the actual Savannah... But oh wells...Sea-Life followed... Which now makes even less sense with the random Aztec tunnel stuff... Maybe if the rest of it was themed but hey... Something to add on the ever growing list of things to do...After a bit of faff, went to Zafari Bar and Grill... OMG it's epic! Especially the 2 courses for £10 deal, I really hope they have that during the main season... Absolutely gorgeous food and extremely filling... Looks really nice as well...After lunch, did another round of the zoo which took us to closing, when we went back to the hotel bar and had a natter about various Chessie related things that will hopefully come into fruition soon...Fun day though, and made me very excited for opening... Bring on the 26th!EDIT - Also, if they're changing Goblin, they need to get a shift on... Though I doubt much will change...
