Efteling do kinda have the benefit of being a charity so don't have to give a damn about profits, Phantasialand haven't always been ones for the real high quality we've seen in their investments since Black Mamba... Half the time it's all relative anyway, since few parks can build a Baron or Ghost Train... But it's when places like Hansa Park are building things that wouldn't look out of place at Disney is when you have to be questioning where the money actually goes in Merlin's ones...

Well, it'll probably be easier to get a visa to Aussie land than USA soon so that's a positive...

I'd say there's definitely more than a 'couple' of independent attractions run better than any Merlin park, from an operational point of view...

Yeah the Medusa temple thing isn't on at all yet, hopefully it ends up being as fab as I'm hoping... The ride itself is longer than I expected, just wish the temple wasn't floating in the air and the storage was themed... Two minor flaws in the long run of it...

Can't imagine it made a big difference though, since it was a lottery about it being open most people either postponed trips or just didn't bother going at all...

They tried, but it hasn't particularly worked (although it might looks tonnes better once things have grown in)... Always an issue when you plonk a massive dark ride building in the middle of your park, but at least all the areas in the public view are themed...

When you look at things like Trip Advisor a common complaint at most parks (even Efteling) is tired looking rides and scenery... Add in poor operations and it's probably surprising that Chessie manage 3.5 stars...
The Disney fans moaned over Starbucks, whilst they ALL moaned about how Potterland didn't/doesn't serve Coke or other 'Muggle' beverages... They're a much stranger bunch than we are...

It's either horrible or amazing, there is no middle ground when it comes to play offs... Shame really, could've been Watford's rivals as they're weirdly obsessed with Palace... But then again I can actually go to the Huddersfield game, so I won out there... Besides, Reading won't be the scum of the league with Millwall coming up...
Wow this topic died... Log Flume is progressing well (like, really good looking themeing), but the big news is the announcement of a hotel... Perhaps they'll expand public transport links further to Dublin as a result because I don't see it being for two days at the park, but it's a positive investment none the less... No pics from me, but go Google it you lazy lot...
FastPass is applicable because it's FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! It also helps plan the day out a fair amount a bit better as it does work well... Especially on Big Thunder Mountain, that queue is an utter burden... Only two rides you'll REALLY struggle not to have to queue for are Crush's Coaster and Ratatouille in the lack of SRQ use side of things...
Fast pass is your friend. Is it worth getting an AP? If so get one, since Magic Hours and discounts are fab. Space Mountain has a SRQ. WDS dies in the last two hours of opening, like 0-5 Mon queues dead. Best time to whore the rides there.

Is Rocky Express still open? If so then that still resides as best ride on park...
