  1. Walking down steps is fine, it's walking up them that's the problem.
  2. Does anybody know what is wrong with the wheelchair lift on this ride? It's been "unavailable" on the last 2 visits where I've been really weak and then had to struggle up the exit steps.

Feeling unwell? Grab a sick bag!
  4. I agree, Colossus does seem a lot smoother this year. But both times I've been the Cobra Roll has still tried to assassinate me.
  5. Quantum was closed all day today, and Slammer was down at one point.

    Lady GaGa

It's my favourite album of the year (So far, anyway)... and this is coming from someone who used to hate her. You & I and Government Hooker are the standout tracks for me, though they're all crazy good. Is it me or is The Queen near identical to The Edge Of Glory in places?
  7. Designated smoking areas? Ergh, I miss the old days that I was never part of where you could smoke wherever you wanted.
  8. It was fairly quiet today, longest queue was for Storm Surge. 40 Minutes (10 Minutes by the time we were bored enough to ride it)Got there around 1:30, left at 6. Got on everything because most staff didn't sign my disabled pass due to the lack of queues (I think it was signed 5/6 times)Went around Rumba Rapids twice because the area was DEAD, my friend got soaked, I came off bone dry. Didn't get on X:/ Where's It Gone, we nearly did... but someone puked just outside the exit station, we were told to exit via the main queue, first time I've ever seen it. I'm not missing much am I... the exit corridor is better themed Colossus seemed faster but still as rough as ever, and Samurai was very intense.SAW opened around 3 (I think) after testing for ages, and I think Detonator was down at some point because they kept sending it up empty (Also GUTTED that the countdown has returned - it was much more intense without it!)I had an amazing day, and the staff were brilliant too... I think we literally waited in the brake runs of Colossus and Nemesis: Inferno for a few seconds, if that. Plus a lot more of them seemed to be putting the effort in to really makes sure guests were having fun. Love how my best day at Thorpe Park was on Friday the 13th
  9. I'm going tomorrow (If it's not raining too hard) anyone been in the last week or two? how's it been?
  10. Can someone tell me if the disabled policy at Alton is the same as Thorpe and Chessington? I did download the thing from their website but I couldn't zoom in for some reason... weird.
  11. Since my last visit this has been my favourite ride at Chessington. Something was being done to the Gorilla enclosure (I think) and we got a great view of some fit builders.
  12. I thought Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain has the tallest loop?

    Panic & Puking

I've never felt sick after a ride, where are my man points?!?!
  14. I hope not, they look naff imo. Unless the "tilt" section was heavily themed, I suppose that could be interesting. But not at Thorpe.
  15. I swear there is a math to Stealth rolling back? I remember having a talk in a college group years ago and the man explaining something about it that's slipped my mind.
  16. Out of the few theme parks I've actually been to:1. Kraken - <3 (It was the first time I ever rode a roller coaster at the front) 2. Nemesis Inferno - I love the dizzy confusion you get in the brake-run. 3. Detonator (It gets me every time)4. Irn Bru Revolution (It may be my inexperience speaking but the loop on this thing is intense!)5. Turbo (Brighton Pier) Yeah it may be a rough pile of old rusty Pinfari crap, but I lost my loop-ginity to it. 6. Grand National - I had so much fun on this, best bit was when my friends bag hit her in the face 7. Duelling Dragons (Fire) or whatever it's called now. 8. The Top Scan at Flamingo Park in Hastings (Can't remember the name) - Kick's Samurai's ass.9. Some fairground ride from Gay Pride last year. It went on for AGES and just kept getting faster and faster and I wasn't getting any more sober. It was amazing (I think it may have been made by KMG, it had the same restraints as Vortex at TP) 10. Stealth - Stealth is Stealth.Special mentions go to Zodiac for being my first inverting ride (Back when it was first installed - had no idea it went upside down) and Flying Fish for the childhood memories (It used to seem SO fast when I was ickle) also to Vampire, because I love it. I WILL break my Alton Towers cherry this year, dying to ride Nemesis and see what all the fuss is about.
  17. Do you mean petit mal seizures? My friend has those and she is fine on rides.
  18. Just seen the Storm Surge ad.THRILL OUT?!

    Jobs..

Totally messed up my interview for Sea Life.It was so embarrassing, my mind went blank during my presentation and I could hardly get any words out. I was shaking and so nervous I was sweating, plus my presentation (On Lobsters) was nowhere near as good as anyone else's. I'm not usually a shy person, but I just found it really hard trying to make myself look good for the job standing up in front of a room full of eyes staring at me. Whoever thought up group interviews is a ****.Oh well, at least I got a free trip around the centre
  20. I *THINK* I remember queuing for the old Flying Fish and being dripped on by Tidal Wave... You know, back in the day.
  21. I can see this ride going in the same direction as X:\ Where's It Gone."Why knock it down in a few years when we can leave it to fall down by itself"
