What park is monster at?
-
Yes it is B&M's first ever "Junior Dive Machine" - They confirmed this on the press release and John Wardley is doing part of the theming. If this is B&M's new prototype, then does this mean that Thorpe may be getting one of these in 2012, or is that another prototype?

Happy Birthday Keith!

Yes, I think that is right about the temperature thing at full speed, however Gerstlauer eurofighters can be set to have different lift hill speeds depending on what point up the lift hill the car is. Typhoon at Bobbejaanland is a good example for the use of this. Inferno's lift hill is also fascinates me, it has a speed sensor so that the motor can speed up so that the train catches to it immediately; if it is going a little too fast (of which in never actually does) then the trim brake at the bottom of the lift will slow it down to a capable speed.

Does anybody have the whole playlist of songs for rattlesnake?, if so please try to upload a print screen so I know what the songs are

Since the new sponsorship, has anyone else noticed at the top of lifthill 2 that there are these new printed canvas things that look like the top of a castle, every little bit like that just helps to revamp rides a bit!
-
No, it was just in the bathtime section, maybe it was just due to another reason. Speaking of Bubbleworks, when does the Imperial leather contract end? Is it the end of this season for the Alton Towers flume and Bubbleworks.
-
Is there another major problem with it?
-
When I was at Chessie a few weeks back, bubbleworks had the main lights on in the "bath time" section, it was really annoying because it blocked out the coloured lights as well; does anybody know why they did this or if they still do?

I think Thorpe have done extremely well this year with ride maintenance, If a ride goes down unexpectedly; then they will try to be as quick as possible to fix it. I thought that Slammer would just have another bad year this year, but no; it has been brilliant up until now where it has blue tarps over the south side , I wonder what the problem is now? I'm sure it will have a speedy recovery! Is the gearbox problem with samurai, the same problem that they had with it around the beginning of October last year, because it had a blue cherry picker on it then?

I think you can get 50% off of entry though, if you look on the Merlin Annual Pass website; it says on there that annual pass holders get 50% of Merlin attractions abroad. If you are still unsure then why not e-mail or phone Merlin-I'm sure they will tell you the answer!
-
Maybe, they think that if it is only on a short setting then the amount of downtime will be less?Yes, but I see what your point is thorpeparkjack, they should run it on longer settings when it is not a busy day.
-
Slammer has to be balanced to be able to run? - doesn't it? I've not been on any on my own yet
-
^Just wondering why they did not close the area off?
-
How come when I visited at the start of the holidays, Slammer was closed until about 12:30, but the ride team were just stood by the queue entrance while the mechanics were busy doing something to the ride? They just told people that it should be ready at about mid-day, which was good of them to actually tell you when it will be ready.
-
Why is it so busy, I thought that it would be quieter being as most schools have gone back now? Also, how were rides for no. of trains and was rush on 1 or 2 swings.
-
Wow! that it not as much as I expected, being as most major rollercoasters now cost around £10M or over & that some flat rides can be quite expensive now. (I know A Mega Disk' O coaster is not A Rollercoaster.)So if a Mega Disk' O is that much, then how expensive are the smaller ones and other Zamperla rides e.g Rockin' Tug and Air Race?
-
Yes, the ride itself is getting rougher; don't quite know why though, I have noticed when I was on Loggers Leap and could see Saw: The Ride that the track section that is joined just before the break run looks to have been welded and is silver and looks like this may be causing some of the roughness in parts of the ride (is the track like this on any other track join segments)? Speaking about the queue, I think it was much better just to use the two sections of stairs just as you enter the building, it was much easier for fastrack people and you got the full effect of what happens in the queue e.g, jigsaw's video messages and the gunshot.

How often do the restraints get jammed then? Is it due to a dodgy current connector or is it something else?, When I was at Chessington on Tuesday they got stuck twice on the same train (once when I was on it).
-
When I was at Chessington yesterday, Vampire's station was completely full with people and was queuing all the way up to the top of the ramp in the station! Queued in the station for about 25 mins. It did not help that one of the trains had problems with it's restraints, so each restraint had to be manually opened by platformers undoing them underneath each seat. They did the best they could though!
-
I would not queue that long for tidal wave, if I ever buy an extreme fastrack I will almost always choose loggers leap now; Tidal wave is still good on an EXTREMELY hot day though.

Yes, it was not too busy today, but it did rain a couple of times, once when I was on Kobra; was soaking when I got off. When I visited in the June School holidays this year, Vampire and Dragons Fury were both on 120 mins, Kobra not far behind that! (90 mins).
