  1. Just because they have different target markets doesn't mean Thorpe should make a hotel out of shipping containers, its would be like sleeping in a tiny, cramped, warehouse!
  2. Sounds like a good idea, also, I think I can speak for quite a few people when I say that it would be a good idea to book an afternoon time slot, so we could have more time for night rides
  3. I would assume so, wouldn't want to get split from the group!
  4. Weren't there quite a few flaws with Disneyland on its opening day, such as peoples shoes melting into the freshly laid tarmac?

    Dreams

I keep on having this recurring dream, where I'm in a pitch black room, theres a spotlight shining on me, but all around me is darkness, I'm swinging on a chair, I keep swinging & swinging & swinging, when suddenly the back of the chair collapses & then I just wake up in shock, I honestly don't know what to make of it.
  6. If this doesn't happen, I'll be thoroughly disappointed.
  7. Really excited for this meet, really hoping some people will be coming in costume!
  8. What will be happening with The Passing? The time slots could end up being an issue, as people would end up booking different times, splitting them up from the rest of the group.
  9. I think that they're trying to claim the whole 'bag over head' thing as a worlds first, even though it has been done before (HellEments at Tulleys Farm, I think)
  10. Sounds eerily similar to some events that transpired earlier this year *cough* Twitter *cough*
  11. No, I didn't, could you point out where it was?
  12. Yeah, I'm never too good at writing things like this, I'll try and write more than half a page in the future
  13. Alton Towers - Where the magic never ends! Well, according to multiple enthusiasts, the magic had indeed ended, people say it like its happened only recently, but really "The Magic" everyone talks about died long ago, I'd say in around 2005, the image of manufactured magic went out the window. In 2011 the new, Seuss like , quirky marketing style started, its fine and it fits the park well in my opinion, but many long for the manufactured magic to return, but the truth is, although the manufactured magic is gone, there is still A magic in the park And it lies within the Towers themselves The majestic, Gothic masterpiece of the Towers possesses a bewitching magic unmatched by any other Theme Park, the surrounding Gardens and local lore creates a unique backdrop for a fantastic Theme Park, without the Towers themselves, the park would be an empty, hollow place. Thing is though, Towers need to step up their game, some people dont notice the real magic when multiple areas of the park are looking tired and worn out, no number of new rides is going hide an often cracked and broken park, I love the place, But it is in dire need of a spruce up. Although new investments will bring people in, lasting impressions will bring people back. Photo stolen taken from ThemeParkReview, Not used with permission, please dont shout at me.
  14. I think they should bring back Flaming Hot Wotsits. It would be amazeballs. Ah, Wotsits, t'are the food of my legendary Punjabi forefathers. One day I can only hope that I, Maximillian Wellingtonboots, will be able to, like my legendary Punjabi forefathers, become a Wotsit myself. I make it my divine purpose to satisfy one person's need for a slightly depressing, cheese-flavoured puff of wheat and MSG. I'm coming for you, moistened tongue muscles. Release my flavour!
  15. I would generally consider a madman with a chainsaw to be criminally insane.
  16. The mayonnaise at pizza hut looks and smells of baby sick. Puts you off your food if your trying to have a nice meal. I mean, if it's going to be mayonnaise at least make it more appetising than the regurgitated contents of a baby's stomach.
  17. I think its also begging to be put in Marcs very own thread
  18. Well isn't this a nice surprise! Will try and make it to this meet, seems like it would be really interesting.

    Video Games.

Played Oblivion after around 7 months of leaving it today, and its amazing how far Bethesda has come with AI, Storytelling, Combat and Animation in 6 years. Looking at it now after becoming so accustomed to Skyrim, Oblivion is just, weird, The combat is clunky, The animation is horrible, and the general world design is extremely repetitive, also, lets not forget the NPCs, for the most part, the voice acting is rather bland, the fact that there are only two voices to most races is extremely odd, and apart from the great performances from Wes Johnson, the delivery of different lines is done with barely any emotion, another strange thing, is the way the NPC's stand completely still while never removing there eyes from you during dialogue, its a tad unsettling. As I said earlier, the combat is awful clunky, it leaves no impact what so ever, It often feels like your just swinging your sword at them, instead of hitting them, the lack of duel wielding seems strange, and although this was probably something that couldn't be done with the archaic Gamebryo engine, it seems weird not being able to duel wield. The story of Oblivion gets really boring after a while, with the quests just boiling down to asking people for help. Saying all this, you may think that I hate Oblivion, but no, Oblivion will always be a fantastic game and an incredible achievement for the time when it was made. Its hard to believe that Oblivion and Skyrim are even part of the same hardware generation, it just shows how far Bethesda, and the industry as a whole, has come in six years. Although...
