  1. ^ That is hilarious, I don't think I could have stopped myself from laughing in his face, as evil as that sounds. So did he miss his stop?

    X

Well according to their 2010 and 2011 Press Packs they state that that X has a "Throughput: 1000 people per hour". Although I can safely say it's not the first time that things have been incorrect in the Press and Student Packs...
  4. What a sad week for London and the UK. My thoughts are with my many friends, family and anyone else in London and all the other affected areas in these dangerous times.
  5. I'm gad you have found some of your old photos of Chessington, it would be great to see them some time. :)

  6. ^ Give me a woman with glowing eyes any day over a swarm of stinging bees!
  7. I like the concept art on the site too, all very exciting. Looking forward to seeing how this all develops, as a Sci-Fi & Horror fan I am also really looking forward to finding out more about the story. I think the missing wall/ faces could turn out to be a boot camp type experience to decide who gets to ride it first.
  8. Rush was one of the rides that I rode for the first time earlier today, the other being Vortex. It had been appealing to me more and more on recent trips so I thought... Why not, what's the worst that can happen. I loved it, I was really impressed with it, it is a nice almost relaxing ride like playing on the swings in the park when you are a little kid. I really, really enjoyed it and can't understand why so many people scream on it. It was so good that I rode it again about 5 minutes later. Why did I wait almost 7 whole seasons to ride it!
  9. I rode this for the first time today. I can't believe it had taken me almost 11 whole seasons to get around to it, but to be honest a lot of Thorpe Park's thrill flat rides have never appealed to me. The lowering station floor and the rapid action automatic restraints were certainly a surprise but once the ride started I actually enjoyed it, even watching it before riding I thought that I wouldn't like the spinning motion, but it doesn't really spin as much or as fast as I thought it would. What on Earth was I worried about for all these years? lol

    X

Wow! I'm even more impressed with the 'new style' X after riding it again this morning. The music was nice and loud now filling the pyramid with sound. Plus the lighting also seems to have been improved since our last visit, it was quite a lot darker in there even with the coloured lights on the brake runs.I think this is the most I have enjoyed X in many, many years and I think it was a great decision by the management/ ride team to put this effort into improving the ride’s experience.
  11. Hi sumo22, when did you first visit Thorpe Park?

  12. It's slightly disappointing if it is going to be based on the games, but the font on the WAR's looks exactly the same, oh well maybe we will find out in just under 4 days!
  13. Wow I had forgotten how much I used to love Rodeo. Thanks for the great reminder Mark!
  14. Sorry to hear about your car Benin
  15. I know, it is ridiculous how SOME guests act once they have entered a Theme Park, their brains just seem to go into neutral.I had read it the past that this was very true of those who attend parks in the UK but it is different abroad. However a quick Google search of the phrase "theme park guests leave their brains at the gate" seems to prove otherwise with reports coming in from all over the globe. I don't know what it is about a theme park that seems to trigger this kind of response:Is it down to the feeling of total escapism "This place is like being in a dream, so I am going to treat it like one."?Or is it that they are so used to being told what to do at a park: which way to enter this, how to strap yourself into that etc that they end up in this almost zombie like state?Sorry if this post is going a bit off topic but we were at Weymouth Sealife centre yesterday and the ignorance and naivety of some of the guests was appalling, maybe this is now becoming a problem for visitor attractions as a whole!

Just downloaded this from iTunes. Amazing song, I can't wait to hear more from Bastille. p.s. if all you can see is a black screen with "Please don't take this down.....Let's finish what we started" unselect the annotations button.

I'll tell you what I don't think I could do any of the Chili challenges he has done in the past. He always looks like he is close to death, definitely not for me I struggle with a hotter medium dish lol
