TPM Guildford Meet 21st January 2017
Shove me down for skating and bowling. Won't even attempt Air Hop and TGI is far too posh for my budget

Jingle Bell Fall TPM Meet
Er a year? No no no - I need my carer for future meets! Really enjoyed the the meet guys - was kind of nervous thinking of the amount of people who would be there but as always the nerves went quick and I had a fab day and great laugh. I missed a lot of meets for a long period of time but it's good to get back into seeing people again - as ever a big thank you goes out to Peaj not only for this meet but his dedication as meet organiser for the past few years - I know for me, if it wasn't for the meets I wouldn't have met such lovely people. When you are made to feel welcome at meet ups it makes you want to go back and see everyone again and you create great memories which you can look back on. Congrats and all the best to the new meet organisers who I'm sure will do a grand job - Merry Christmas all!

Park Count - 2016 Season
I forgot to add Paultons Park to my list - and I only went 2 months ago

Storm Surge
Have I completely lost the plot or did Storm Surge have an indoor station when it was in America? Also drainage in the boats would be great - not sure how viable that would be though. That's another issue I have with storm surge - I usually struggle to get in and out of the boats - sometimes I give up and just flop into it in a very unladylike manner

Rant
Invest in some nice warm gloves, scarf, ear muffs, balaclava and maybe a hat seriously though - I hate cold weather and seem to feel the cold a lot more than some people (not sure how that works?!) right now I have my heating on full whack and am in my PJs with a hoodie and thick dressing gown on - and I'm still cold

Storm Surge
A water ride closing due to rain?! I don't mind Storm Surge - as long as it is walk on and there is no water in the bottom of the boat. Went on it last day of the season and it was ridiculous - I was trying to empty the water out using a bottle but gave up. The actual ride is ok, it's just the journey up the loooong lift hill and bobbing about endlessly at the end that does my nut in (and having wet feet)

Confessions
I'm trying to become veggie again - I was from 2006 until Jan 2015 although I was a crap vegetarian as I still occasionally ate fish. My attempts so far are not going well - why does bacon and chicken have to taste so damn good?!

Unpopular Opinions
1) Saw is my favourite rollercoaster out of all I have ridden (which compared to a lot of people here isn't many) 2) I love DBGT 3) I loved Submission and miss it 4) I prefer Colossus to Nemesis Inferno 5) I find dodgems quite scary - I don't scream on rides now (maybe the odd swear word but shove me on the dogems and I scream and squawk) 6) I hate Rita and will only ride if there is a minimal queue 7) I prefer Thorpe Park to Alton Towers

Your first Thorpe Park ride
Thankfully I've since discovered amazing motion sickness tablets! I still remember the adverts for X:/NWO and thinking that was a big ride for TP at the time. How times have changed
-
Your first Thorpe Park ride
I only ever rode X:/NWO once and it was the closest I've ever got to vomiting on a ride so for me it was a good thing they changed it. It was the constant stopping and starting that made me feel rough as well as going backwards

Top 10 deceased attractions you wished to have experienced
Rides I would have loved to have experienced - As others have said - Big Bad Wolf - that thing looked incredible My first visit to AT wasn't until 2013, so - Thunder Looper Corkscrew Black Hole Energizer/Bone shaker (that thing looked odd but fun) Rides Ive ridden but wish could come back... - Loggers Leap - Forbidden Tomb - Original vampire - Prof Burps Bubbleworks (no ducks!) - Submission - Rodeo (but on The Juggler setting!)

Rant
Winter....yes winter is my rant. I hate it - if I was rich and not scared of flying I would happily sod off to a sunnier climate for a few months each year. The clocks went back weeks ago and it was only yesterday I changed the wall clock in my living room to the right time. I'm fairly certain I have SAD or some form of it - every year is the same - my mood gets low, tiredness gets worse and just as it starts to get dark I have the overwhelming urge to go to bed. It doesn't help that Xmas is just around the corner which I struggle with at the best of times. Also - teeth (again) - I now have a lovely tooth with a huge crack in it on the other side of my gob where the other problem is (filling fell out and I then yanked out the tooth - root is still there). Managed to get some cocodomol from my GP which I'm never taking again - felt so ill on it. And finally (wow this is very ranty) - I have no problems whatsoever helping people out but when someone blatantly takes the p1££ I get angry - when you help someone out and it costs not only your time but a considerable amount of money, stress etc - next time the answer will be no. God I'm on a roll - I have 2 more ranty things but I'll just sit and stew on them until I turn into a proper moaning old cow

Your first Thorpe Park ride
Oh jeez - probably CCR - first visited in the very early 90s and was scared of pretty much everything - including Tea Cups and Flying Fish Thanks for asking this question as I was about to - am a tad confused

Your Plans for 2017

Fear on a Ride
Zodiac can be quite disorientating - I put off going on it for quite a while and it was the only one I needed to have gone on all the rides at Thorpe. I was expecting it to be worse than it was - saying that I do take motion sickness pills which I think help massively especially with flat rides. I would just personally not go near it if you've recently eaten! Slammer looks a heck of a lot worse than it actually is - I love it bar one time when I asked the ride host to ram me into my seat tight and I was struggling to breath. It sometimes makes me feel a bit light headed or headachy but it is a unique ride and worth trying at least once. Samurai I love - I'm a bit of a wuss and always try to sit on the very inner seat but have ventured as far as one from the outside- it's not massively intense but if you get a good cycle it's decent and worth doing.

Adventure Island - Southend
Went on Adventureville 3 times on Saturday and actually really liked it - the music is really happy and although the theming isn't out of this world, it's a fun little ride - fab for kids (and big kids!)
-
15 Years of Fear
Totally agree with your comments regarding Platform 15 - hopefully if it's back next year it will be improved - it has massive potential especially with all of the space available

The 2016 Thread
As always, nice to see you - and at Steath! What are the chances! I think we got last ride of the season on DBGT - technically rode it 3 times today as it broke down on second VR section so we got another go

People Moaning About Safety
