  1. 20 billion dollars. That can't be right. That's 2 billion a year. No way
  2. Right. Firstly I'm not a fanof VR based attractions. I find it a cop out basically. I like Alpenexpress VR as an extra choice, and 1/10 Times I'll use the VR on Galactica. A whole attraction seems and is to me, too much. First part is unchanged basically, fine there were no major issues there. Second VR sequence is much better with in built buffers instead of a loop so if they're slow at loading You aren't watching a green mist loop. But, the new VR goes away from the sub core story or is very little tie in. Yeah. New ending is good though and it feels a lot more in Derren's styling. So yeah it's at least complete now and all flows. BUT. I feel it's pretty unreridable for me at least as its only VR and doesn't change so it isn't jumpy after one go. And the story isn't strong enough for you to just sit And enjoy in my eyes, especially as the train hardly moves so it's just like watching tv on your phone on the underground. Also, great it's better but this should have been version one, the last year debacle should never have been green lit so I find it hard to overly applaud them for improving something that was so bad to begin with. It's better yes, but that wasn't hard. Oh and it's still far too complex mechanically for what it does and I believe it will be unreliable as ever. It broke at least 4 times tonight, but they do seem to be able to start it up better now. Yeah, maybe queue10 mins for it but I fear itwill get repetitive very fast and is gonna cost a bomb to run so may struggle in the long term, especially if it's popularity dwindles.
  3. Or to cater for both markets, a large GCI woodie on the back island much like the one planned 10 years ago, slap on a 1.2 height restriction and you now have an excellent family thrill coaster. That's what Thorpe need, not a family orientated coaster and not a thrill coaster, but one for both.
  4. If it is only the one that they've got then it's 2 mazes with that one new IP
  5. Key word is plans for multiple IPs. There are two plans, one for if they get both the IPs they're going for, one for just the one IP. They're not linked/owned or whatever by the same company unlike the Lionsgate set. It is much more like Universal's Horror Nights in the concept of having multiple IPs from different brands, as we'll still have Saw too so could potentially have 3 well known horror franchises on park.

    Slammer

It didn't open on preview days but can you blame them, opening it is hassle! It's on the map so it's intended to run this season. Slammer just keeps us on our toes. And timber tug boat ride isn't on the website yet so you know, maybe they're merging the two rides into one awesome experience!
  7. I believe they are considering selling CD's, heck they do for Heide Park and that had this IMAScore treatment a year or two back.
  8. Swarm could do with one in my eyes. I've never minded the current one but that whole island just always feels so quiet and atmosphere lacking, not helped by its seclusion! Some for the flat rides too so Lost City isn't all the same track. With Inferno and Colossus they could make a twist on the old tracks, keeping the well known bits. Rumba's new music, is that ImaScore? Just don't touch WWTP thanks.
  9. It's got a new chain and gearbox so that might be causing some issues. I believe it's stopping where the chain usually speeds up so could be something with that.
  10. Kong actually has really good guest satisfaction scores, as does Frozen, the only issue with Kong being the timing as it feels really quick. No one has an issue with screens at Islands as it's only the third ride there to utilise screens. Fast and Furious hasn't been tweaked to change theride experience, instead it's a mechanical change so it won't be trackless unlike Kong, an issue that caused most of Kongs downtime. The hype is fine for this yes but not showing the content just ruins that. They could be jumping at nothing, stooges, or even jumping at the lastyear video. The bit where the guy is looking down saying get offme could very well be the creepy girl from the first segment last year.
  11. Old Town seems on the map to be trying to follow the original saw mill type theme before we got the Saw IP. Shame none of the theming exists in real life. I hope the donut place is like the new donut shop they have at Chessington!

    Nemesis

Looks great! The whole façade of this TLC is worth it just for this! The comparison is depressing though at how bad they let it get.

    2017

For a Baron your grammar is pretty naff I think another thing to remember as well is you are jeopardising that persons job as they all sign strict media contracts and people have been fired before for forum posting.

    Wicker Man

Does second language Italian mean anything? Is Gardaland still getting their dark ride next year? If so this would fit that better surely!
  15. How much input does Ferrari have with this land? For a company with such rich heritage in racing and cars they could have come up with such a great name. Something Italian or fancy relating to one of their models, history etc. Instead it sounds like they put little thought into it or much of the land, sorry, park.
  16. Could the table be for 18:15? Just cos it's free parking after 6
  17. It's not just about creativity, it's easy to advertise. The Lionsgate years were on whole Fright Nights busiest ever seasons. People know the brand and want to experience it. Easy marketing right there. It's all about getting a good mix of IP and in house in my eyes. Once you've used IPs to it's hard to go back as people expect the next current thing. If they didn't have any IPs at Fright Nights now a lot of people may see that as being cheap and lazy no matter how intricate They are cos that's how the public would see it. Getting a big name is a big thing and the names for this year could indeed be very very big.
  18. As expected, the website has been changed setting the listed dates as the open ones.
  19. I think that is an error on the site. If you weren't going to open something at peak times then you'd save even more money and close it all together. Peak times are when they have more staff available as well. Also, IAC usually closes early September for FN so I feel those dates are actually more likely to be the open dates. And if budgets are cut, the park has to make choices and take them from somewhere. Odds are more actors being used in Ghost Train but no budget alteration to help this so something gets cut. It's annoying but a fundamental issue with Merlin.
  20. By the looks of where the rockin tug is going and the fence going up on the train station, the blair witch entrance wouldn't be there anymore anyway! And with Platforms queue in Loggers space I don't see a big issue arising!
  21. I'm surprised Saw Alive isn't still on the site, unless with no more Lionsgate they're just gonna keep that one quiet as to not confuse any possible new IPs as Saw ain't going. As for the scare zones. Blair Witch was originally deemed one of them, so it's replacement may be deemed the same. I wonder if the new IPs will be big things like those at Universal's Horror Nights.
  22. They've been doing it for years, so why weren't they able to do their maintenance in time then? It shouldn't matter what time of year the park opens, but whenever they do they should be fully prepared for the crowds. Using the "it isn't main season yet" isn't an argument. If they can't get the maintenance done in a shorter period they shouldn't rush to open. And as they're open every weekend now till November that to me is their season.
  23. Stealth is just waiting on a part to be delivered, no need to be cryptic
  24. You mean you aren't doing alternate days at Thorpe and chessie this year for the finale scene of Gruffalo as well? Disappointed.
  25. I'm more intrigued what would replace Cabin. Would they keep the use of multiple rooms for multiple different scenes? Assuming lionsgate is out, Saw Alive would stay as that's part of the Saw ride contract which isn't going anywhere and Alive is consistently decent. I've heard a few rumours of what might be coming and I just hope Thorpe don't mess it up cos the potential is huge!
