  1. I would love to do this please and would be strongly interested.
  2. There has been rumours of this happening for some time. I'm personally hoping this doesn't happen as there's more than enough Thomas rides now.
  3. Looking at the pictures makes it show how exciting and hopeful this project is going to be, not just bringing (back) another amusement to the uk but also holding a selection of classic rides too. However seeing how run down it looks (which isnt surprising in the time of 7 years) is rather saddening to see and I hope they can successfully rebuild & restore the scenic and cinema there.

    Dreams

I often find I will often experience a dream that will predict the near future and quite often the dream I've experienced will become a reality. I.E the day before exam results I dreamt I got an A in music. The next day, I opened my results and found an A in music.
  5. I really hope Dream Land is finally restored and can reopen next year. The scenic railway looked such a great ride before it was partially destroyed and hopefully it will reopen in 2015 once again. The article is definitely an interesting and promising one.
  6. Although I don't expect there be a coaster until 2016, it's very likely we will see a new ride for 2015 as it would be 3 years since the last addition at the park was built and with no new rides apparent for 2014 (as we know), the park will have to play miracles with decent publicity and marketing otherwise next year may be a quiet attendance year,
  7. I do remember actually during my last ride on Quantum that we got stuck directly on that top part of the ride and waited there a good few moments until it started lowering itself to sitting position. It was very strange and I though it had broken down at one point (maybe it did). No idea what happened.
  8. Thorpes rides this year have all been pretty reliable. This excludes Slammer (for obvious reasons, Storm Surge (because it seems to break down 3 or more times a day) and also Samurai (and maybe to a degree Loggers).
  9. So with 2014 not too far away, it will be interesting to see what takes place next year and whether it will be a more successful one than the last few we've seen or whether it will be another disappointing year. What we will see at Chessington in 2014/ The hotel extension (which I hope they do well) Monkey And Bird Gardens 2.0 The return of Ramesis Revenge (which hopefully won't break down big time) What we may see in 2014/ Runaway Mine train returned (either looking nice and fresh or a complete eyesore) Dragon Falls looking more impressive than recent years Plans of an apparent future coaster unveiled (it's only a rumour I've heard currently so who knows) More rides temporarily unavailible such as Skyway, Bubbleworks & Toadies. What we probably won't see in 2014/ Vampire on three trains (I can't see this happening, not until they improve 2 train op atleast) Some form of new ride (that's quite certain now) Burger Kitchen made to look more impressive indoors Vampire & Fury re-painted Haloween Hocus Pocus returning to 8pm closings Significantly reduced fastrack selling Safari Skyway rerouted (as it doesn't really give as much scenic ride as it used to)
  10. Thorpe park 2013 analysis, Positive changes/ X revamp, such a great family dark ride now, 5 points Greater relaxed atmosphere 2 points Swarm backwards, more intense 1 point Park wide events such as summer nights 5 points MOS 5 points Fright Nights 3 points Improved operations 1 point Inferno running more powerfully 1 point Snoozebox accommodation 1 point Fright Nights return to 10pm closings 2 points Total 26 points Negative changes / Swarm backwards confuses the queues and row 6 should still be forwards -5 points Car park now £5 -2 points Loggers tunnel being removed -2 points Slammer being SBNO for half the season (which if it happens again next year should maybe be removed (coming from a big fan of the ride) -2 points Total -11 points Overall progression in 2013, 15 points (15%) Roll on 2014.
  11. Good to see that there's been no alterations (as far as we know). It will be interesting to see when the November opening hours appear to see whether the park will be closing around the first or second weekend of November, seeing how early the first weekend will be next year.
  12. Another idea for BWP if CCR did return is they could make people ride the train around the loop and stop just before the station with everyone taking the rest of the journey by foot. Maybe something like that could also work.
  13. There deflately is a fire ball on Swarm, but there was also one that used to be on Tidal Wave as an effect, but was sadly removed in 2005 due to Stealthconstruction. TBH, there's quite a few things peoplle have wanted to happen over closed season, Tidal Wave fireball, Colossus repaint and topspin. It'll be interesting what will take place during Thorpe's closed season, or all parks as a matter.
  14. It would be quite interesting if they ever did a February half term event in the future where selected rides are operating (mainly those nearer the entrance and that cope with the cold. However seeing how unsuccessful they were in 2007/2008 where the maintenance level was disappointing and the park not prepared, I'm not expecting this anytime soon.
  15. After many exciting months, the park has now closed until March 2014. Who knows what will be going on within the park during the next few months.
  16. Noticed Safari Skyways been unavailable the last few days (according to the ride status page). I wonder what's up with the ride and whether it's closed due to technical ride problems or even due to the monkey garden and hotel upgrade works. Maybe we will see the ride re routed next year, although that being said it probably won't and that would also likely require planning permission.
  17. Oh dear, this isn't very good, The Smiler has appeared in a headline on the BBC news website. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-stoke-staffordshire-24794468 This coaster must also be the worlds highest breakdown coaster as well as inversions. Thinking about it, if you disregard mine train as coaster, this is the park's 13th actual roller coaster, so it definitely has been unlucky.
  18. The Smiler has received even more problems lately following parts of the chain lift coming off the ride. https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/1383526_564903986898238_226051418_n.jpg?dl=1 Photo copyright Themepark guide. Boy, the Smiler has had a problem at just about every moment possible almost and it's almost coming usual for the ride to fail during a major time of the season. They as well almost completely rebuild the ride the way things are going.
  19. Although things could change, the 2014 Hocus Pocus have now been released on the park's calendar, and look very similar to this years opening hour wise anyway. The event will last 16 days which is the same as this year, however the petty 7pm park closing time still seems to be in place for the event, with the first 6 days also retaining the 5pm closures.
  20. This years Winter Wonderland event looks like there's going to be some impressive rides, I do like the sound of the Alpen Hotel. However, I expect I'd need to take out a loan if I wanted to ride everything there.
  21. That centrepiece looks too similar to Swarm which as great as it looks, it's a shame that they couldn't create an original design as the only difference on this one is the fangs used.
  22. A throughput of just over 300 on 2 trains? That sounds dire. Though fastrack has made operations slightly better, if they're loading this slowly then they need to reassess the ride's operations. They should really sending out at least 2 trains every 5 minutes as 1 is just ridiculous.
  23. Vampire running without fastrack for the rest of Halloween? This can only be a good thing seeing how awful queues the ride got in summer. TBH, they should remove fastrack completely from the park with its low throughputs and operations.
  24. Sounds like you a great time there. Euromir & Silverstar look such great rides. I hope to one day set foot in this impressive looking park.
