Not gonna lie, training it to the park is not as straight forward as some places such as Efteling and Phantasialand. But it is doable if you know what you’re doing and don’t go on the express. 
 
You can get a bus to Basel railway station and then get connecting trains to Offenbach, then Ringsheim. Then get the park shuttle bus from there. But that may have changed from when I did it a few years ago. 
 
 

I’ve only ever stayed off-site, but there are plenty of options throughout the village of Rust. Ranging from hotels, B&Bs and guesthouses. Most of which are 15 minutes or less walking distance from the park. Sites like booking.com and Expedia are worth looking at. 
 
M with tickets they usually sell them as one or two day tickets.

I will not be contempt until I see JK SLKSTN in a neon Thorpe branded T-shirt riding a wrecking ball into Loggers Leap shouting “EXODUS EXODUS EXODUS EXODUS EXODUS EXODUS EXODUS EXODUS EXODUS…” 1000 times.
I hope Shane Sandwich gets first dibs on the obsolete signage.

They really are cracking through things, and good to see Rocky being kept safe for it's retheme to fit in with Exodus.

I guess you could say it’s no longer the future of theme parks. 

This is all very well but we are straying from the elephant in the room - is Rocky Express coming back for 2023 or not?

Things I might like to see:
More dramatic dispatch sequence- lights change, theme music, nemesis voice 
return of the red waterfall, through revised system to stop the leaking problem 
train lights 
homage to the original track 
 
That is all. No silly pre-show because that would just ruin the throughput and not really add to the experience.

Genuinely wouldn't surprise me if they put something in the end of season/here's to 2023 video to be honest, where the people who created the promo can then speculate about what it means even though they know already.

With Fish, the ride went into storage, with an intention to possibly sell it. The plan then changed and the park reintroduced it, with a new train. Being in storage, the ride was protected from the elements and well looked after. This is very different to Rocky, which has been effectively abandoned for a year now.
 
Rocky Express is not returning.

I'll be making my television debut and appearing on classic quiz show Countdown! My debut is this Friday (Oct 28th), airing at 2.10pm on Channel 4, and of course available on catch up after.
 

 
There'll also be a bit of geeky chatter and roller coaster puns, because of course they run with me being a roller coaster enthusiast and turned it into my entire personality (not far wrong tbf).

Enterprises’s official demise was imminent. 
 
It hasn’t been running reliably for almost a decade, let alone this season. Where it hasn’t rotated fully for a long time. 
 
Enterprises seem to be a dying breed these days with only some left in existence.

Towers do seriously need to broaden their selection of support attractions, as this leaves Blade is the last family/thrill ride left, which too is on its last legs. 

Two years after my piano version,I finally got the chance to play the original Vampire theme on a real pipe organ.
