Very excited for all these new rides and ideas, especially the tron coaster and Star Wars Land. Disney could be onto an absolute winner with that one and it's great to see so many new projects coming along. One thing I'm not very happy about is the confirmed closure of the Great Movie Ride. As it looked an absolute master piece and would argue it's a greater loss than the DCA Tower ride. If they had to change it they could've at least just converted it to Disney movies only rather than purely a Mickey and Minnie ride. Makes me sad I'll be missing it's closure by a year when I take my first trip. Losing Universe Of Energy is still a shame, but was looking dated though.

Well I hope so, because I've only bought me and Tomb's tickets now. And we hope to stay over too. Aldo hope to be there Saturday for the day but unsure when I will turn up yet. -
Pretty shocking and surprising move, given how big marketing was when they built this and how much effort they put into the attraction, real shame. I just hope whatever replaces it is a step in the right direction, especially considering Coast and Rattlesnake have been removed, even if they were on their last legs.

Advice is appreciated guys. Trying to do lots of work snd and planning into this whole trip, given it would be me snd Tomb's biggest trip to date when it hopefully happens. Is September a good time to visit? We are probably looking at 15 days.

Right, so quite a few years ago I made posts for a trip that seemed in the clouds. However hopefully now, I am more in a position of a trip finally happening.I'm planning an Orlando trip for 2018. Would September be a good time to visit? Hoping for a 15 day trip out there, and knocking the first and last day for packing, travel and jet lag I'm hoping for the following:2 days at Magic Kingdom 1 day at each other park (total 3)3 days at Universal 2 days Busch Gardens1 day Sea World2 relax days, one for Volcsno Bay and something else and another for Disney Springs and one of the water parks.What's anyone's thoughts on this and is there anything else I should do/plan amongst this?Wondering where the best place to stay is?Disney Onsite, I-Drive, Villa or Kissimmee? The latter sounds interesting.Is a package holiday best for first timers In Orlando? I've booked and organised trips in Europe, but not America.

Hopefully it'll just be a retrack and modernisation of the existing ride. As long as they keep the ride's current charm and soundtrack, I will be very happy. A mixed but exciting investment at the park indeed.

Great to see this park receiving a massive expansion plan for the next few years, should be great to see these new additions being built. Anyone know if the former Vertigo site is still left unoccupied? Given how unsuccessful and disastrous that coaster was.

Well it looks like it won't be too long until I return to Phantasialand then. certainly an interesting yet impressive move from the patk, opting for another coaster and choosing a flyer with a launch. I guess the two selling points compensate things when Nighthawk gets spotted, given it's one of the longest indoor coasters in the world. I'm wondering what else will feature in the Rookburgh area, given it's massive footprint and the original 'different experience by day and night' tagline has little correlation to a flying coaster at the moment.

If you look carefully, the shark logo on the pin actually says Shark. Meaning it says Thorpe Shark Hotrl. They sure look decent thought. Might have to get a few.

TBH if construction of new buildings counts as redevelopment, then anything could happen. Sadly the return of Loggers is highly unlikely.

More terror attacks in London as a Van crashed into pedestrians at London Bridge, an incident an borough market and shootings in Vauxhall. There are some sick people in this world!

At least they've made some effort theming up the roof given they could've just left it bland and empty like many dark ride roofs. Given it's central location, the park have actually done a pretty good job theming the whole exterior of the attraction.

Right, so I ninjago'ed to Legoland today to try out the new ride and can say I'm quite impressed with the new addition. The technology and effects used throughout the ride are surprisingly good, from the water effect in the queue line to the fire and wind elements on the first scene (trying not to give too much away here). Queue line is surprisingly well themed as is most of the exterior (some bits look a bit warehousey still). I think there's still some tweaks from the looks but what they've got there is good for the park and the queue was moving fairly quickly too during the visit. It was mostly screen based but did have some physical theming inside too. Kind of had elements of Ratatouille and Maus Au Chocolate too. Rating 7/10 Great to see the park install what's probably been their biggest investment for at least eight years amongst gaining their third major dark ride. This park may only be second to Blackpool now when it comes to indoor rides in the UK now.

A Newbie's Trip to Liseberg

Liseberg as a park is a loverly charming place. Despite boasting many new and modern attractions the place still somewhat retains it's charm and character through sedate detailed buildings and the beautiful hilly location with rides nestled upon within. For any one yet to visit park's abroad it's one I'd strongly recommend viditing first as it can be done quite cheap and easily. -
The original Dragon music used to be synced to the ride and would play out loud and proud at the ride entrance and banquet scene of the ride. There were also sound effects in the queue turrets for the witch and wizard figures including some sort of poem. Andrew McKenna was the composer. Around 2010/2011 this was changed for the new Lewis Cox soundtrack with the original at the time disused and sound effects removed and replaced by television screens of author Michael Rosen narrating. This was further changed a couple years later where both music pieces are now played throughout the ride alongside new videos showing off the ride and explaining safety.

The theming level on that water ride looks immense! The quality is close, if not at the level of many major European park. Hopefully the hotel will be successful, just as well themed and bring more attractions along with it. Another major coaster would also hugely benefit this park. Tayto is definitely one of those up and coming park's to look out for, much like Energylandia.

The next episode of The Making Of Symbolica part 6 has been realised, and goes into further details of the attraction building and design. Not to mention the garden roof on the top which will make for a beautiful sight on the pagoda.

Anything that isn't a grass patch or an inflatable game. If I wanted to see either I'd visit Chessington Garden Centre.

A day that was expected and bound to happen soon and today is that day. It is a shame the ride has now officially dead, but it wasn't to last. The park did a good job at persevering while it lasted to such s unique ride. Rest In Peace Slammer March 2005- May 2017

Still sounds a very exciting and ambitious project, and one that may well place this park as a must do. I'm also excited for this new water attraction, but am curious to what it could be considering they already have a flume and rapids ride. 2018 is certainly going to be an impressive year for U.K. and Europe.

That animatronic towards the end looks utterly amazing! Don't think one that realistic has ever been created yet. Theming around the ride and area is also impressive. The Avatar theme suites the park, but wasn't the most interesting idea they have chosen.

A honestly think an updated Safari Skyway type attraction would work well at Chessington and offer something for everyone which also relates to their animal adventure theme. Just build it up where old skyway was, place the layout around the enclosures and voila, it's done.
