  1. Lets be honest though, that would never work at Thorpe capacity wise.

  7. Makes sense, every now and then Chessington is the location for emergency response drills for things like terror attachs etc.
  8. https://www.legoland.jp/en/plan-your-visit/latest-news/news20200228/ Legoland Japan is back open for anyone looking for any of our fans over in Nagoya.
  9. What's your Xbox tag, I need some friends after getting one, though I may sell it for a PS4. For me life goes on from home, working on marketing back to basics and training.
  10. Legoland is still planning on opening tomorrow. I don't like being political here but Borris knows exactly what he's doing, by not saying a definitive yes or no, the government can't be liable to pay up when help is required due to guests using common sense and deciding to postpone visits... I really do feel for the smaller attractions / pubs / clubs.
  11. From reviews it seemed like a generally successful day for Chessington, bar the 1 hour queue for RAP, ironic do people really need these or just see them as a free fast track, same with carer passes, I wonder if people just see that as free entry nowadays. On another note I saw a post about allowing a full train of RAP users to drop queue times, is this not theoretically an operations nightmare if something went wrong, I thought you were only allowed 1 RAP holder on any ride at a time for safety and evacuation issues. Doesn't seem like these issues will go away soon now either with RAP passes being valid til the end of 2021.
  12. @SteveJ really does have an agenda against people who get free tickets, well I guess a MAP once purchased is classed as a free ticket nowadays, unless you get the monthly, then you have to pay monthly.
  13. Thanks to Chessington Buzz for the recorded POV. Wonder if they had permission?
  14. Have the park confirmed this? I can still buy a ticket on the site for the 4th. Wait for the park to confirm.
  15. But everyone here is an expert, has seen their marketing plans, and has worked a senior operations job at the park, so ofc they know 99% it's not opening this year.
  16. They haven't been paid lol, too much of a niche. From reports its a much better experience, as with Chessington as a whole this year. Also don't ever support that Coasting guy. He's a creep.

    Legoland

Rumor is the coaster is now open with with a queue time exceeding one hour. It is also running many trains at half capacity due to a lack of children riding. Not to sure why though...
  18. Oh Tomb Blaster has got something else coming this year allegedly from your favourite theme park composer...... Spoiler alert it's not Imascore..... I believe the in house sound and lighting technicians did the updates to vampire.
  19. Ever wonder how Disney builds its park attractions? R&D Imagineering experts take us through how the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction was engineered – from free ranging vehicles to virtual reality. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/techcrunch_ever-wonder-how-disney-builds-its-park-attractions-activity-6641385137282121728-wKom Excellent interview by TechCrunch with Imagineers into the RND process behind rise.
  20. I don't think I've seen anyone saying its amazing, its just nice to see the animatronic working again with a fresh lighting package. The tunnel has a few extra bits of cloth too oh and the full queue line has been re-tarmaced which is a nice refresher!
  21. You can always just put a rating on the posts out of 5. Last time I did that though I was told off, so I won't be doing that anymore.
  22. The original team are probably well gone, why can't the new guys have there own go at something thats been sitting collecting dust for years.
  23. Big construction walls around the area, Tomb Blaster was also closed, potential retheme?
  24. Go experience it first before calling it tacky. LoL Or why not get a job at Merlin seeing as you seemed qualified to make these changes.
