  1. Have the park confirmed this? I can still buy a ticket on the site for the 4th. Wait for the park to confirm.
  2. But everyone here is an expert, has seen their marketing plans, and has worked a senior operations job at the park, so ofc they know 99% it's not opening this year.

They haven't been paid lol, too much of a niche. From reports its a much better experience, as with Chessington as a whole this year. Also don't ever support that Coasting guy. He's a creep.
  4. Glitch replied to NickD's topic in UK Attractions
Rumor is the coaster is now open with with a queue time exceeding one hour. It is also running many trains at half capacity due to a lack of children riding. Not to sure why though...

Oh Tomb Blaster has got something else coming this year allegedly from your favourite theme park composer...... Spoiler alert it's not Imascore..... I believe the in house sound and lighting technicians did the updates to vampire.
  6. Ever wonder how Disney builds its park attractions? R&D Imagineering experts take us through how the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction was engineered – from free ranging vehicles to virtual reality. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/techcrunch_ever-wonder-how-disney-builds-its-park-attractions-activity-6641385137282121728-wKom Excellent interview by TechCrunch with Imagineers into the RND process behind rise.

I don't think I've seen anyone saying its amazing, its just nice to see the animatronic working again with a fresh lighting package. The tunnel has a few extra bits of cloth too oh and the full queue line has been re-tarmaced which is a nice refresher!
  8. You can always just put a rating on the posts out of 5. Last time I did that though I was told off, so I won't be doing that anymore.
  9. Glitch replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
The original team are probably well gone, why can't the new guys have there own go at something thats been sitting collecting dust for years.
  10. Glitch replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
Big construction walls around the area, Tomb Blaster was also closed, potential retheme?
  11. Still looks to be a while away.
  12. Glitch replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
Go experience it first before calling it tacky. LoL Or why not get a job at Merlin seeing as you seemed qualified to make these changes.
  13. Looks great, two smart really well themed kids rides, I reiterate KIDS RIDES, please don't complain if you the enthusiast aren't allowed on a ride intended for children under the age of 6.
  14. Glitch replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
Ah, stop being moody and go ride it for yourself, the change is good. Went on it twice today, the vampire looks cool and with the new lighting gets rid of the scary /tense atmosphere from riding many years ago as a child Although the ride felt a lot slower today.
  15. This was open today, look cool though is currently missing the middle theming element.
  16. Using this thread as can't find one for Legoland Florida, and can't be bothered to make a new one, please move if there is one. Legoland Florida are pulling an interesting marketing stunt to launch their new pirate hotel. Nik Wallenda, who just tight roped across a volcano, however became instantly hated by many for wearing a safety harness, hence eliminating the risk of death on live TV will be walking the plank at the new hotel. Doesn't really seem like that target market here as most people wh tune in to watch him are only watching to see if he essentially falls. And will he be wearing a harness? https://mickeyxtreme.net/blog/nik-wallenda-set-to-walk-the-plank-for-opening-of-pirate-island-hotel-at-legoland-florida-resort
  17. RAP will make up for that.

People are forgetting they had a whole event including a scare maze for its 21st a few years ago.

I just feel sorry for those who genuinely need it and have a crap day as a result, of waiting around to get on rides. Personally I'd have a doctor on park to give the yes/ no. But that would just give me invisibility abuse.
  20. The one thing I do love about Jack's videos is how he always has to cut back to a previous video with a quote of him speculating something to assert that dominance over the enthusiast community when it is correct. Another good video though and a great way to get more exposure out there as to what the park is doing this year rather than traditional click bait articles, its almost a shame in a way that Thorpe or even MAP doesn't have an experienced community manager to act as a face to the ever growing community. Rather then what seems to generic tweets which can get lost in translation. Another not, this partnership has nothing to do with Netflix other than being able to watch on that platform, rather the Uk production company are involved. If Netflix were involved we've have a stranger things attraction.

Think the idea here is to add more of a thrill and an idea of suspense to the rides, for example sending Colossus around for a second go every 6th ride say, or a more intense Samurai cycle, well before it breaks anyway. Good idea but perhaps an operation nightmare.
  22. You should watch it, the PM f**ked a big, and then the story broke 4 years later about the PM really getting down with a pig, back in the uni days.
  23. You may say this but IP's do drive traffic towards the park, the standard of execution of the IP however may not be up to par.
  24. I don't believe this to be Netflix directly rather the UK production company overseeing the product.
  25. Could it not be argued that this a good movie for the park, becoming more of a TV / Shows themed attractions park.
