  1. I can't beleive I am the only one who likes saw! It is my 2nd favourite ride in thorpe park after stealth! I don't want the whole saw idea to be replaced, I wanna see the license extended! But if thorpe end up changing it to a better horror-themed coaster it will be smiles all round
  2. Anyway, I thought the contract lasted 5 years so till the end of 2014, so we don't have to have to worry about anything P.S correct me if I am wrong
  3. Guys does anyone know when The saw license runs out with thorpe park? I am getting worried as I love the whole themeing of Saw and I don't want it to be removed As far as I know though, if it was to be rethemed, they will keep it as a horror-coaster. I really want the contract to be extended because Saw is one of the best rides in the park- partly because the actual ride is great, but also because the themeing is exceptional and I love it when you stop by Jigsaw

    X

If this was what they were doing to X then I would be so happy, this would be one of the greatest junior, launch coasters ever! And it would totally suit the pyramid too! Just listen to the bit at the end where it says you have survived, imagine if X did that, it would be awesome! But I don't think thorpe are making X like this though... P.s I think this is an amazing coaster, if thorpe took this into account in the future I would be so happy because it is so great
  5. Doesn't it look great Just wish it will actually end up looking like this...
  6. I know the crash pad is just a bunch of shipping containers, but I feel it looks really nice in this photo I cant post the photo because its on a page but I've got a link, it's fairly small. http://www.thorpebreaks.co.uk/thorpe-park-hotels/the-crash-pad-thosna.html I don't know if it is a concept design or if the hotel has been built yet but if the crash pad does end up looking like this I will want to stay
  7. Haha I really want this prize anyway I have never ever had ultimate fastrack before! I am really gonna spend a couple of hours thinking about my slogan!
  8. What happens if someone else posts that aswell and you both win? These competition is really weird. The terms and conditions don't state if you can have more than one entry etc. P.S Peaj I'm not sure you should be telling everyone your entry because someone can copy it
  9. Just read them and it doesn't say anything about not posting more than one so I will post a few but highlight my best option and tell them if you are only allowed to choose one I choose that one I really badly want this package now!!
  10. I think machines would be a good idea because then they would not have to have staff standing outside of every ride pushing you to buy fastrack tickets, instead there would be a machine stating when the next fastrack is avalible etc. however, thorpe want to push their sales in fastrack so I think they will keep the people trying to sell you fastrack when it is a 5 minute queue and also increase the amount of units. Just coming on to my point, I think we will be seeing excelerator fastrack either being removed or X no way out will be replaced with a big ride, I don't know if it is possible to view this but it is not possible to buy excelerator fastrack online any more: https://secure.thorpepark.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?categoryId=19602&storeId=10689&langId=-1&catalogId=14553
  11. Just to double check, you can only enter one slogan right?
  12. It depends when you want to go really- sometimes you can visit on a Sunday and the park is absolutely empty! I would suggest going on the 24th though, because it is in the middle of the school term(although it is a sunday) and it is not close to the opening. In my opinion, I would rule out 17th because this is the park's opening week and it will proabably be packed. Also Sunday the 31st is bang in Easter so you may not want to go then. It is up to you really... Although I said this, I think you may want to consider the 31st aswell because that is easter sunday and the park is likely to be less busy. So overall I reccomend either the 24th or 31st of march. Hope this helped
  13. Yea you will Well thorpe are doing this competiton, so you may aswell enter and try and win a VIP trip I have had a look on facebook and the suggestions all look rubbish so I feel I have a chance of winning! P.S I am actually gonna take some time to think of the best slogan because I'm not sure if you can submit more than one slogan??
  14. Even if they were doing that, people would think it was pointless to go then because you wouldn't be able to make proper use of your ultimate fastrack ticket. If I win, I will go on a peak day in the Easter holidays open as late as possible with long queues so I can take full advantage of the fastrack tickets How about 'smile your on video' Also only 5 rows will be able to see the slogan because two are facing backwards! I will feel so amazed if I win as I have never had the opportunity for ultimate fastrack!
  15. Do you just give a slogan or do you have to give a complete design for the billboard? Thanks guys! Also do you need to email your info or just tell them it if you win? My guess is it is just a silly mistake, becuase you cant visit the park on the 10th I am so gonna enter this...
  16. Well we will just have to wait till people will come to some sense and merlin will drop their prices due to lack of demand. Like that is ever gonna happen all the same... A merlin annual pass is great value(especially on the sale) so they will keep the guests rolling in! However I think prices with 2 for 1 is very decent, £21 was a good price for entry and the park wasn't to busy that time! I think if the 2 for 1 vouchers keep getting posted in the UK, then merlin will keep getting their guests!
  17. ERT could be given to merlin annual pass holders aswell...
  18. Yes, as much as I would like longer hours and cheaper prices- I have been on a really quiet day where I used a 2 for 1 voucher and got on everything multiple times with 0 minute queues! But my point is, people pay £43 for entry then the come on a peak day and only get on 4/5 rides which is bad value for money...
  19. Although I have an annual pass, I was just having a look at the merlin theme park's prices. Is it just me or are they ridiculously overpriced excluding 2 for 1 vouchers! Also do you think parks in the UK should have longer hours and be open till midnight like Disneyland is? Thanks guys...
  20. I have emailed thorpe park a couple of times before and I barely ever get a reply! And if I do get a reply they just stay completely off topic and don't actually answer what you want. Don't get your hopes up mate...As for the 10:30 opening, I really hope it is open that late because I can be riding rides in the dark for longer and it means that the mazes will be open an extra 1 and a half hours!
  21. Real shame... the times were up there earlier- it might has just been an accidental change or something. But if they deliberately did it and then changed their mind, we could be seeing the times extended! I have been thinking that a long time but I think now that thorpe will only introduce it when their permanent hotel has arrived its a shame but you cant always have it your way Has anyone thought about LRT(late ride time) because if they introduced that it would give crash pad guests something to do for an extra hour and they wouldnt have to get up early! Haha, I havent experienced something like this because I am usually out of the park 5/10 mins after closing time but it is acutally the queue which closes at the 'closing time' which is stupid because if stealth had a four hour queue, you would be there till 1:00 am on a fright night, but thorpe cannot do this system any other way becuase people would complain...
  22. Yes! 10:30 is awesome closing time but I'm not sure how I would get home that late in the evening This is actually going well, if thorpe could extend all their opening times by 1 hour, then we would have an awesome theme park with the longest hours in the UK! I hope one day thorpe will be like Disney, and will have the park open until about midnight! So go on thorpe park, make all the days at least till 6:00 but most days later than that.... P.s I think we will have thorpe blast back this year but seeing as fright night has been extended, could be have that until 9:30 maybe? Also is thorpe blast generally busy? Thanks guys!

    Logger's Leap

Yep, Loggers is awesome fun The water running down the drop has always been on when ever I have been to thorpe last year, as far as I'm aware, loggers has been running perfectly well last season. I visited 4 times last year(april, july, september, october) and the water has always been running down the big drop Well... maybe it hasn't(because I don't really look properly) but does it make a difference? Does it make a bigger splash or something?
  24. I really do compare it to Colossus! If it is the worlds most inversions(which I doubt because the website now says worlds first not world beating) then I will think of it as a saw and Colossus put together as much as I want this new ride coming to thorpe park, I don't want Colossus's record taken!
  25. I am not 100% confirmed but 'apparently' merlin is being sold off to another company which will then open up stock shares for the attractions. So if you pay a certain amount of money, you will be able to own 10% of thorpe park etc.
