  3. By the purchase of a wristband on the event's charity website: http://www.supporttheroyalparks.org/events/winter_wonderland Wristband includes stuff like the Ice Kingdom, Circus, Ice Rink and Wheel as well as the rides I believe. Think it was £40-50 for a wristband this year
  4. Turns out the Drop Ride is back up and running again. Went through today expecting it be down but it seems they've fixed it.
  5. I saw this on Wednesday with Colossus as well. Queue was advertised as 60mins with a guy selling fastrack out front, telling people to use the exit, when in fact the normal queue was actually about 5mins (just outside the station). With 2 whole cars closed off for fastrack and exit riders, it also resulted in the exit queue being larger than the regular queue itself. The pushing involved to leave the station was horrendous. And yet people were still buying fastrack from him....
  6. Yeah it did a couple of full speed tests and then at points throughout the day it raised, began spinning but stopped on an angle. Towards the end of the day they raised it with the caps off of the water dummies, and rotated it to get rid of the water in them. Pavements outside the ride were cleaned and jet washed as well
  7. Nope but the sign has been put back up, water dummies removed from what I could see. It looks as if its ready to go for tomorrow to me!
  8. Full POV of both sides: Credit to TPR, its fine though, there's no annoying voiceover in this video I like the barn fly-through, when the trees begin to get some leaves on them again the environment should look good for it too
  9. Some more information has been released regarding the new rides! The one that will be open from tomorrow when the park reopens is going to be a mini drop tower like Adventure Island are getting. This will be called 'Freefall' not to sure where in the park this is going but I would think it will be going where the Tube Slides were that have now been sold! The other new ride that will be opening at the start of summer is going to be another spinning coaster. No other details of this have been released yet but its an interesting move from the park to have Two spinning coasters unless the piece of crap Family Star has been removed... Along with these two new rides, Pleasure Beach have a new film showing in the 4D cinema called 'The Lost World'. Along with this the Disko was sent off for a refurbishment and has pulled up back onto the park over the last couple of days. The new colours are believed to be Black and Orange. The coaster has also had more of the repaint completed. (the back part by the waltzer) Seems like this fairly small park have spent a fair amount this season. New season for the park starts tomorrow!
  10. Where I am in Hertfordshire the Easter Holidays run from the 2nd April all the way through to the 19th April so I'm guessing different counties have different term dates so Thorpe are just accommodating for that I would assume
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qTbGgectpY An official video from Paramount outlining and clarifying details about the resort and what we can expect when it opens 2020 can't come quick enough
  12. Thanks to some image posting help from JoshC. Here is a photo of the main drop: Source: TPR Looks amazing! Cant wait to ride this when its finished
  13. Following on from the Chile Boomerang incident a video of the incident unfolding (a view from the back car as it separated) Video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-ts=1422579428&x-yt-cl=85114404&v=3AyIq32whv4 EDIT: Just been told that the link doesnt work.... Should be fixed now.
  14. Universal Hollywood have just announced a new ride "Fast and Furious - Supercharged". It shall open in the 2015 season. Not exactly sure what kind of ride this will be but I presume some sort of dark ride Details:http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1551504#p1551504 I'm sorry, I know its a TPR link but its the only source I can find of it....
  15. I think they run one of the Batman's backwards for one season only at a different park each season... Correct me if I'm wrong. Swarm backwards is fine but only as a once every now and again thing. Inferno should just stay the way it is, maybe it could work as an event like Fright Nights as others have said, but apart from that, I wouldnt want to see it happen
  16. "Brean's Fun City was sold from Richard and David Cadell towards the latter part of last year to Phillip Booth. It has been announced that the park has now been renamed 'Brean Theme Park' and three new rides and attractions for 2015. New rides and attractions include Starflyer, Disko and a Circus." - FunFairs UK
  17. They did, it was quite a good event as well as far as smaller parks go with a fair amount of halloween attractions. It was quite busy as well. Maybe they will add in a Halloween event and times closer to the time when full details are planned out I hope they've sorted out their blanket ride close policy for this year as well...
  18. Its great to see them investing yet again. Just hoping its not a ride that will look like its came straight from the fair ground (like Jolly Roger and Thunderstruck when it originally opened)... They must be doing well, although it seems they have cut Halloween this year and opted for a September closing which is an interesting an unexpected move....
  19. Can definitely go any date other than the 21st February as I'm doing an event with my Explorer Unit Enjoyed this last year and will be the 1 year point from my first ever meet!!
  20. Considering Adventure Island closes between 22:00 and 23:00 in the Summer with all rides open without charging extra to stay at night I think its safe to say that AI has the best UK Park Hours tbh. The best UK Merlin Park hours, yes and compared to Alton's and Chessington's hours they're very good and second best in the UK overall. I'm happy with their hours this season, assuming Summer Nights is returning as well so that's more night rides in the dry which is good. I wonder if 2015 will see another price hike in on-the-day tickets....
