  1. But you need 1 phone per 6 people. That will cover 98% of people.
  2. The system will always just shift queues that's how it works. Saying that more side attractions will improve the way it works is a complete lie. It just moves the queue to a different place but they are more spread out. It always just moves queues as it cant do anything else. Lets say RnR was only on 1 coaster. Its just relocates the queue to a new location but to so many locations it doesn't seem noticeable. However now everyone is in the virtual wait for that 1 coaster. Some people would have avoided it in the past because they were not willing to wait but with RnR everyone waits virtually as it seems like it doesn't effect them. When in reality it does effect them as that coaster is now dealing with people it didn't have to before. Making the virtual wait longer in proportion to what it would have otherwise been. So there are now more people counting as 2 people so the other rides queues increase. Its coming to the point where I'm going to go away set up the differential equations and statistics and prove to you lot that this system will never reduce your time queuing.
  3. Oh I forgot that I typed that. A fire alarm. Disturbed me and I just left it so it appears to be it sent it. I'll edit it because clearly that is just a stupid sentence.
  4. Sorry for assuming that me saying add length didn't instantly imply add blocks as well. Also RnR can never work "fantastically" regardless of what is done. Remove the standard queue then where does everyone go. It just results in moving queues and can end up limiting the number of goes on a coaster as the wait for those is doubled. It forces your day to be an equal split between coasters and flats.People do go just to get on coasters but with rnr they cant. It's not just enthusiasts either, many people I know go just for coasters and flat rides are just there if there is time left over and they are bored of the coasters.
  5. Well if course relevant blocks would be needed. I assumed that didn't need mentioning.
  6. But 1000 is still low for a major park. They should be in the 1200+ region while the flats should be over 600pph. Coaster length does benefit a coaster and makes it easier to achieve high throughputs. It's not a direct correlation but it does help.
  7. RnR will always just shift the queues. That is how it works. High throughput attractions are always the solutions to long queues. No matter what system you get that will always be the case.
  8. The swarm is 775m so it could be 850m. Also I never said it would increase to that it could if designed well. Thorpe just has too many low throughput rides. The sooner they renegotiate the length of the coasters the better because its come to the point where they need very high throughput rides. The whole RnR should never have come into existence if they invested wisely.
  9. A new ride with 1200pph is good and all but the swarm could have been 100m longer and could possibly have run 3 trains so could have potentially achieved 1700pph. Then storm surge with its terrible 400pph or less. Then saw with it barley reaching 900pph. They shouldn't be installing any major ride with a throughput lower than 1200. Alton are just as guilty though. Poor ride choices have lead to massive queues. They added rides to attract new people which is great but didn't find a way to deal with them all.
  10. I basically said that I hope that they changed RnR so it is just a fancy name for normal queuing.
  11. I think you have missed the point. What I was describing is standard queuing.
  12. Lets hope they have changed the way it works to you go up to the ride you want to ride and you stand in a queue for it. However the queue can become long so you have the option to go stand in another queue which could be shorter.
  13. Wasn't altons system paper based. Which I think should raise the question in why did they stop it. I think that the main reason it was stopped is because it didn't work. The only thing that has changed between now and then is that the paper has become a smart phone.
  14. Disney beat thorpe to it. Thorpe tried to be first but how could they compete with the budget of disney. Anyway disney is global thorpe is south east england. I dont think either should be worring too much about each other.
  15. Nothing could grab the public attention more than the phrase "queue-less park". The only problem I have with it is that it is a complete lie and rnr saves you no time at all however I think that rant is for another topic.
  16. Apparently its going to be 8 seats with 3 row trains and stand 223ft tall along with 4 inversions.
  17. I'm already against the layout. It looks so dull and I don't imagine it will be too forceful either. The name just rubs salt into the wound.
  18. Ha ha ha ha ha. Disney beating name right there. 2 old ones put together with a new theme. Great original naming from the magic makers.
  19. They are still about the drop, it's just they have something decent after them. Focusing on the drop is good but I prefer there to actually be something to the ride.
  20. True but according to the source the rumour has come from a memo off of B&M.
  21. Rumours have it that cedar point are getting a $15m B&M dive machine for 2016 on the site of the recently demolished thearter. The source seems to have some fairly good evidence so we may see a new proper (the 10 seat ones, not the cheap 6 seat) dive machine soon.
  22. They would be foolish not to add something. The fungle spot wont see a new ride until after 2016 as its being used as an access point for construction. I think we will see something new, with merlins may opening obsession they still have time to make it. If not we are just seeing a year where their main advertisement is "queue-less park".
  23. Its not a laser ride. Why would merlin spend £12-25million on a laser ride when you have 2 within an hour of the park. Also I (that person your referring to is me btw) did get a tad confused on the building height. Got 2 rides mixed up which is why I said 18m. However AVG's struggle a lot with changes in height as they are generally heavy and slow moving. They are able to go up and down inclines but it does have consequences. Now ive refreshed myself with the plans that building could contain anything with any sort of theme. I will agree on one thing though, it looks very hunger games like at the moment. And yes the 2018 was about the hotel and the MTDP.
  24. The 18m is true as the highest point of the building is 15m and the pit is 3m. AGV's don't do height changes very well and why would they get a laser ride with 2 near by. They also don't cost £12+m. It will be some sort of track based ride which suits first thrills while telling a story at the same time.
  25. Isn't that what Thorpe do best? Got to play to your strengths.
