  1. They are popular at other resorts around the world. I don't see the attraction myself and doubt I will using it. It does just seem that you will get wet when getting to your room.
  2. Saw has a minimum operation temperature of 5 degrees. This is because any lower and there is a high chance of stalling. The smiler will also have a high minimum operating temperature because it's prone to stalling. Rita is closed because of its location and the fact it is a lot of work to get it ready. Stealth is ready as it has rolling mantanice, Rita does not have this.
  3. The effects are definitely operational. On Sunday in the swarms hour of testing the fire effect was working, I cant say much about the mist but I imagine that was as well.
  4. I don't think the furniture in there is staying. Its just the table and chairs from the outside bit of pizza hut. If it is staying then it would be very odd, I don't get why you would invest in a new building, new decorations and then not get new tables or chairs.
  5. Really? I thought it was like 4 or 5. Ha I was there for 5+ hours and I didn't notice.
  6. I don't think Thorpe park can see the event as popular. It was good fun but I doubt it got the number of people they were expecting. The number of annual pass holders (most seemed to be premium) there today compared to the number of normal guests was incredible. I doubt Thorpe made much money today. Other days I cant speak for but it was very quiet today. Ill try and reduce the extreme statements which should hopefully reduce my hypocritical nature. However it doesn't need a load of people arguing with me to do that. A simple private message would have done.
  7. How many people have actually been to Thorpe's Pizza Pasta? The plates are very small, its not exactly a major problem but if Thorpe want suggestions on it. Someone sharing their suggestion on a forum about the park I don't think needs the person to be interrogated.
  8. I don't mean to troll and I don't feel I moan about every point. Everything I put at the time I believe in, however I often realise that somethings I have said are stupid. I don't come on here to cause arguments, if people can not deal with opposing opinions then I don't see how a forum can work.
  9. I'm not entirely sure but I do believe that the stealth playlist has had some songs added to it.
  10. I know, but opinions change. Those posts were prior the knowldge of what this event was like. I still stand by that charging £5 for a Feb half term event like all the other half term events is outrageous. However this event turned out to not be like the others. It was basically a 6 hour summer nights (not by intention). I would also say that merlin dont value their customers. I did stick to what I said, I visited to ride stealth. Say what you like, as stated earlier I dont care. I enjoyed my day and I dont see why I have to justify it to you lot.
  11. The plates are not that much of an issue, yeah it's an annoyance and may be more of a problem at peak. However it's not like it's going to negatively affect your day.
  12. Oh there were many people who were against it, so of course I'm the only one ranted at for it. I fully expected this response, however to go and say my posts are meaningless. I listen to all your opinions regardless of if I agree or not. Clearly what I say I believe in otherwise I wouldn't waste my time.
  13. I never said anyone had to listen to my rants. I would say all of my rants I believe in, just maybe not as much as it sometimes comes across.
  14. Pizza hut used to do garlic bread. The plates are excessively small, I can see where the ccomplaints come from however it wasn't that much of an issue. My problem with it is the way the place seems so empty. I think it's the current furniture. Overall I wasn't impressed, much preferred pizza hut.
  15. Towards the end of the season I do care that that they can't get it right. It's annoying that a park of such status in the UK gets it wrong and then people start defending it. I just find it really irritating.
  16. I do this every year. I often make a fuss over nothing. I was going to leave Feb half term alone however when Thorpe said someone got 60 rides I couldn't resist. Jan to may I'm quite happy with Thorpe. The rides work, and they deal with the queues. After that I start getting annoyed. I know its hypocritical, but quite frankly I don't care.
  17. They are not just going to leave a ride broken. You don't want it to be a problem where leaving it could make it worse. It's likely they were waiting on a part. Also just because staff are not there does not mean engineers are not trying.
  18. If I'm honest, my back is absolutely killing me, my arms are all weak and I'm still shaking from the cold. So 75 maybe be fun however I feel like I'vee been beaten up.
  19. I didn't miss a dispatch for 2 and a half hours Straight. So that's about 50 right there. Then before lunch that was all I was doing. Missed the odd train because of the bays being full but that was only 1 train.
  20. Yeah they were letting people through the gate by the bag drop. It meant that from 1:30pm onwards I didn't miss a train.
  21. Well for all the hate I was giving February half term, I now see why people love it. Seeing as I pay £5 for summer nights I can justify the amount for Feb. Ride count: Dodgems x1 Tea cups x1 Swarm forwards x7 Swarm backwards x1 Stealth x75 Total: 85 Negatives - Swarm opened at 11:15 - can't feel my hands Positives - Crazy ride count - Staff were good considering the weather - Lots of other enthusiasts around - Good atmosphere - had to wait for stealth twice all day, rest were stay on Brainiac I didn't see at all but that was a thing I was willing to sacrifice for stealth. Stealth is love, Stealth is life.
  22. Well 1 train op, if there are 3 trains worth in the bays alone, followed by another 3-5 trains on the stairs to the control booth. If they were running at full capacity with 1 train then there should have been about 10 dispatches in the space of half an hour. Now they are not running at full capacity so it can easily be 30 minutes from there.
  23. It is likely that other channels would be unwilling to show the advert. However Thorpe only ever seem to advertise on ITV channels anyway so I don't see it as too much of an issue.
  24. Well you would need average a ride every 6 minutes. However then there is the time taken to travel between stealth and swarm and any time taken by lunch. The park would have needed to be completely dead.
  25. So how on earth did anyone get 60 rides done if there were those sorts of queues?
