  1. I love it when far fetched rumours materialise. Of all the parks in the UK this is by far the most appropriate, especially consdering the amount of time there has been since their past significant development.
  2. A retracking is a short term improvement - they really need more stable foundations which would be quite a feat to achieve. The track would become equally as rough within 5 years or so.

there was so much enigma surrounding xnwo. I loved slipping up and down on the blocks, it really made the ride feel massive compared to now, and I remember the queue always being really short.
  4. aha , wowee, XXL, hahahaha, here we go! Hahaha, wowee, weeee, ahaha, XXL
  5. Trust me when I say this Sam, Howloween doesn't die down. From 4 o clock onwards the queuing is relentless; scorpion will be half way up the hill, rattle all the way up the ramp, Kobra to the exit, Vampire up to the top of trail of the kings and Fury all the way out of the exit; as standard. The event is so much fun and is honestly my favourite due to the atmosphere but it's so popular that it's a struggle to get all the rides you want to do in the dark done in one visit. I'm sure most people who have visited Howloween can also vouch this; with the exception of when it's rainy (which normally means it will be very quiet in comparison)!
  6. With RAP youre looking at an absolute minimum half hour queue, on top of the additional 45 minutes written on the sheet. You'll be lucky to get 2 in the dark, with or without RAP/Fasttrack/main queue, SRQ is probably the only system where you'll achieve 3 rides on a major ride in the dark, even if it's the same one!

This is the new quote for my signature.
  8. The fundamentals of caring is genuinely one of the greatest movies I've watched in a while. Everything is so subtle and sweet, and the whole thing is very relatable in my situation. The comedy is spot on and the casting is great which leads to a brilliantly unraveling story filled with emotions. A very dark comedy however one you shouldn't miss!
  9. Games default texture is the legendary 'green splat' which is when an object is identified but has no texture. I'm afraid you'll have to reinstall the set, just watch how it is filed to avoid another SID SVD

Never really bothered with monstercat mixes but the July one was delicious. Notable mentions include: Muzzy - Calling Out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZJIdovpJM0 Tut Tut Child - Autonomy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfDdBmBKTdU Haywyre - Impulse (you may have to scroll down to song 51) This is so called 'contemporary DnB'. It's very minimalistic, Laxx kinda style, but my god is the middle bridge superb. New song to listen to for a while tbh. (I attached my playlist which if anyone is interested is pretty much entirely EDM)

Slushii is one of my new favourites. My music taste has been all over the place since the collapse of dubstep but it's settling with trance/chill trap, which is quite a neutral, fun to listen to genre. Slushii makes very melodical beats that are slow and bouncey, and his mentor Marshmello is one of my favourite artists at the moment. If either of them get big you heard it here first (plus jauz)
  12. Suicide Squad is bound to become one of the most controversial pictures of this year. This post will contain spoilers, critiques and opinions some probably don't want to read. I'll start off with just doing my TL;DR now. It was a ton of fun to watch. Throughout all the plot holes, broken pacing and terrible directing choices, I did really enjoy the action, acting, characters and general narration of the movie. It has fantastic authentic reference to the Suicide Squad comics, and overall it was very different and out there compared to many hero movies. Having said that... The movie is one of the most flawed I have ever watched, right from the first 20 minutes. A major problem with films such as this is the use of multiple main characters really drains from the plots, sub plots, and sub sub plots. All of the plots. It does become very difficult to follow at times, and it felt like all the different stories were an excuse to make the general story different, when really it's quite generic. Another problem with this film is it really struggles with consistency throughout. The first act of the film is huge fun, with an edge to a hero movie previously unseen. In your face graphics, colour leaks and character introductions set the movie up brilliantly, and with well placed jokes and impressive visuals and explanations I was expecting a lot. However act 2 & 3 almost feel like an entirely different movie. For gods sake the bad guy and the city aren't even bloody named. Is it Gotham? I mean I'm guessing it's new york from all the satellite imagery in the government meeting room but the structures suggest otherwise? For those who are wondering, the bad guy is simply named enchantress, as suggested by the doctor whispering her name. A lot of the cool stuff seen in act 1 is immediately dropped once entering the city. The colour leaks; gone. The in your face graphics; gone. The plot becomes a blurred and tangled mess of genericness and smugness that simply doesn't really work and isn't very memorable. All most all of the appeal of act 1 is completely gone as soon as act 2 is constructed. Act 2 & 3 scream DC to me, with impressive imagery and clear comic book style, however it was so long to sit through and not very memorable. A large thing for this movie was all the reshoots that it had due to the hit success of deadpool. A lot of it is clear, and a lot of it is very hit and miss. Harley Quinn is played brilliantly by Margot Robbie, however her comical attitude is somewhat awkward to watch, when it should be funny. A lot of the one liners leave you going euuurrghh rather then smugly sitting back in your seat going 'heuh'. There are moments of comical genius, most noticeably embodied in Captain Boomerangs whole performance. Finally, as said before, the cuts to the movie are obvious. Leto's performance as the Joker seemed pretty alright... Seemed: seeing as his screen time ended up being less then 20 minutes. It was very frustrating to watch as parts of the movie are so brilliant only to be undermined by parts which could have been improved so easily. To give you a break down of things that annoyed me: Awkward jokes Varied pacing complex sub plots generic main plot terrible bad guy wasted character chemistry character chemistry LITERALLY OUT OF NOWHERE (Deadshot literally turns round to diablo and calls him a homey, and then calls Harley sugar. WHY IS THIS!!11!) editing consistency choice of soundtrack questionable removed footage Despite this awfully long list, there are parts of the movie that are pure gold. The (over) editing at the start is fantastic, the acting is beyond awesome for the roles given, and the original score is the best I've heard in a very long time. Literally I was going 'awwww man' when the 'squad' strolled up in slow motion with this epic hybrid mess of dubstep synths and orchestral noises emphasising the epicness of the shot. There are some fantastic cameos too, and the introductory period for all the characters really sets up the movie nicely. Certain sub plots work really well, my main problem was there being too many of them. There was great reference and authenticity to the original comics too, which is something I really appreciate being a viewer who does a little research and reading before going into comic book movies. There are some bad ass cinematics, good character chemistry and jesus some of the jokes are really good. Enchantress as a little creepy devil was really impressive, as a majestic god thingy with 20 eyes on her head hulu dancing to a cloud of ash, was not. For me personally these goods do outweigh the flaws, quite significantly too, but I can completely sympathise with those who do not enjoy the movie as much. Overall I'd give the movie a 7/10. It's edgy, it's funny, it has an insanely awesome, long and intense fight scene and the characters are so good you can't not love them. With fantastic reference to the comics, a good score and some real uniqueness to the movie in general I am already itching to watch it at least once more. I just wish that some of the many mistakes could've been fixed before it's release considering how plain sighted and simple many of them are! I will say, you have to ignore all the ratings for this movie. 24% on rotten tomatoes (as I type) means nothing. It's critics all jumping aboard each others band wagon and making the flaws much bigger then they really are. The forum users rating is 76%, which proves it's a relaxed viewers movie. It's not for those who want to nitpick it, its for those who go to the movies to have a good time and watch something fun. This was very fun to watch, and despite all it's imperfections I sincerely hope others enjoy it as much as I do.
  13. Here's an update of my no-life crisis Everything here (apart from the last picture) has been heavily inspired by certain rides. The Dive Machine is heavily inspired by Baron, and believe it or not but the victorian plaza is inspired by DBGT. I really wish they did more with the exterior.
  14. Resolution to this whole discussion: Never question Stretchy.

This is one of those songs that has permanently sat quietly in the back of my head, and I still remember every single lyric perfectly. Seeing as it's recently been a year since my Dad left it makes me feel terrible. This song was so powerful to little 7 year old me, I'd sing it with both my brothers and still today it's so sweet to hear and has such powerful simple, naive, young and free spirited lyrics and vibes. I really love this song because of all the memories it contains but I hate looking back at a lot of them and trying to see how anything will be similar in the future.
  16. People who call Vampire their baby. You have no idea. It is mine.

    Taron

I protest to compare rides as a whole. Every ride is different, and I don't see why people can't just enjoy an experience without having to compare it to something! Having said that, I personally believe blue fire is very tame. This is not. And wodan is quite irrelevant. Phantasia is completely incomparable to europa. Just go and enjoy it.
  19. Taron looks like burnt spaghetti. Taron, the biggest part of Phantasialand's newest development; Klugheim is one of the better coasters I've been on. The parks biggest and baddest ride has little mercy, and throws you around the majority of the track relentlessly, curving and hopping in ways previously unmatched in steel tracks, comparable to renowned wooden coasters. The ride is a very generous length, and meanders its way underneath, around, and above the gloriously themed village of Klugheim, which I wouldn't hesitate to call the most immersive themed area I have ever been in. The detail is uncanny. The ride is one of the most reridable attractions I have ever experienced. It's refreshing to ride something that doesn't have any stand out elements. Yes, the track goes over itself loads, but it doesn't have the tallest drop, the most inversions, or groundbreaking technology. Its just a very fun ride, and an engineering master piece. This isn't my favourite coaster. I'm not going to ride the hyper train here, but it's worth mentioning that the elements this ride features are astounding. The lap bar is comfy, the lack of fans on the side of the seat give you a lot of freedom, and these mixed with some of the elements the ride throws at you create insane air time, powerful launches, and unique throw out elements that completely ace the likes of blue fire, and many wooden coasters. This ride won't fade with time. All these record breakers with silly USPs fade. this won't. This is an amazing ride, with superb surroundings and elements that I'm already dying to ride again.
  20. Taron is a good ride. There's little special about it, it has some questionable pacing and dragging elements, however the moments that it has of sideways ejector, air time and intense speed massively outweighs any negatives. The ride is efficient, a very generous length and has some intensity I have never experienced on a steel coaster before and is really only comparable to the likes of woodie elements. Klugheim is the best themed area I have ever visited, and Taron and Raik complete the parks ride lineup in style. I've only just left the park and I'm dying to go back. 4.5/10.
  21. That is utterly incredible. I mean, the supports were questionable, as was the queue, but other then that the rides shaping, pacing and landscape was pretty spot on. Considering the game is still in alpha, this goes to show how incredible it will likely be.
