I just want to take this back quickly to the issue of fast track. As mentioned/asked a little while ago, what would people do in alternative to fast track during a ride breakdown, there weren't very many straight responses. I find it funny how people are open to critique parks, however have very little constructive to offer them in return. As well as this, many 'noble' parks offer fast pass options, such as the likes of Port Aventura, and even Phantasialand as a standard addon package. The main difference, I imagine, is that numbers are controlled a great deal more then they are at merlin parks. Having visited Phantasia on a peak day, I never saw a single fast pass user, and only once did I see a disabled rider. Again, I imagine that these things are much more controlled and discrete. Getting back to the point in hand; what is good compensation for a ride malfunction? Well, let me say that today I found out (even if it's not news to some) even Europa offer fast track passes for up to 4 rides during a ride breakdown. That's more then merlin, and they offer it to the entire queue & station. Whilst there are countless things to take into account with how these issues are dealt with, how common breakdowns are etc., I think it reinforces the idea that to a certain extent, fast track is the most logical option of compensation, and a lot of the moaning done about it is pretty obtuse. At the end of the day, if a ride malfunction has prevented you from visiting another ride as you would normally, it would make sense that the park sort something out for you so you can visit a ride quicker, causing less interruption to your day. I don't necessarily agree with fast track being a standard addon package, especially at the scale it's done within merlin, however it is very, very difficult to deal with break downs and keep guest satisfaction, at least moderate after that kind of incident.

Very good TR! A nice mix of constructive and critiquing points. Very interesting to see how you compare it to other parks aswell -
Ahahha next time you see Gian ask if he's got any grapes

without a doubt: (it's 3D even though the picture doesn't show it)

It was unlike any past ones. There was a healthy mix of some pops of airtime (yes, air time on this thing) and some moments of intense spinning and swerving, but for me personally perfect amounts of both, so it felt intense without the sicky feeling that normally comes with it.

Yeah same here, I had nothing but terrible memories of this but it was running very nicely today. No way near as tame as before, or as nauseating, surprisingly (if that even makes sense) What absolutely made my day was 2 attendants. Efficiency was high as hell.

It's got the equivalent of a canal system from what I can see. The rides flat is held in a controlled trough, and after the second descent the troughs gates open to allow the water to flow in. How the water is then lowered again, I have no idea, but I can imagine there is some kind of pump system to remove it. In terms of throughput your looking at 600+

I know this is a guy speaking about theme parks who compared to us probably has little idea what is going on, but he raises interesting points that I feel certain members on this forum need to become aware of that it happens outside of merlin parks, and is just industry standard. If you watch this video from 3:24 onwards he highlights points that people are almost certainly aware of but need confirmation of.

I am very much looking forward to their return.

Please remember that Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, and if you just do a little research off of that site you'll find that this is, in fact, incorrect. Whilst both models have similar components, Rocky Express' model is actually called 'old train'. As you yourself said, the way the carriages work is slightly different, but this is the difference that makes them different ride types PS If you still don't believe me, look at mack rides website, and find the ride model 'old train'. Rocky is pictured. Before you go to the slaughter house with someone, make sure your facts are right! To get this back on topic, does anyone know if guests (other then in a breakdown) can ever have access to the indoor sections of Saw? A couple of us were curious if it's possible to have access to it as a kind of VIP thing, a bit like how you can go in the ride area for inferno
