May I suggest, from my arty farty point of view, that rather then pipers we have outlines of different coaster tracks around the text? It's pretty effective

I do agree we need a new logo to go with the new site, maybe now might be a more appropriate time to host the logo competition that never really lifted off a couple months ago. From next month I'd be able to produce something if people were interested in breathing some life into the current logo.

There is a seperate thread for dank memes Steve

'spring'. So should be done by the end of may with any luck. And the rate Europa do stuff that shouldn't be a problem. Although I personally don't see much reason to visit that area as it's designed for toddlers and kiddy winks.

So, I found out I'll be visiting in August with the family. A couple questions for you vets: We're going right at the start of September, like literally the Sunday before term time here (The first weekend of term in France). WILL IT BE VERY BUSY? Is there any rides we should get done first/last to avoid queues, because I've heard operations are pretty crap.. Is fastpass worth the buy? Wheres good places to eat? My older brother and mum aren't much of ride people.. Are there many attractions for them? I need to find a really cheap hotel nearby to stay in the night before. Have any of you guys got any experience?

Luke, you better of heard of this... I feel like you'd love it

With Dreamworks opening up their own theme park in dubai later this year, I wonder how long that'll last.

The new site looks awesome, but I too have a couple points. 1. Are you gonna slap a theme on here at some point? 2. The user history doesn't seem to be working. I went to look at someones post history and it loaded nothing... Might this be because they haven't yet posted on the new site? If so would it be possible to load data from the old site?

They'll do rotations, especially depending on the environment. Actors aren't supposed to work in a strobe environment for more then 45 minutes at a time, so it's likely they'll have 3 sets of actors rotating throughout the day.

This is old news. As Advertisement after James May's series involving lego to do with toys (the name escapes me) they used legoland as a form of advertisement for the next series of Top Gear following that series of programmes. It is however, still a very cool easter egg (my personal favourite either being the one where stig is in the driving school or where he is standing under the Pharoah)

stats in RCT3 are a bit meh. Most people ignored them and just played sanbox for it's gloriousness. On the subject of RCT3, I think it's a little bit of a shame that the community has completely died in the last 3 months. Several of the forums have shut down and those that haven't have transferred to Planet Coaster. Of course this was gonna happen but it's happened so quickly and it makes people that want to continue to play RCT3 (such as myself) reluctant to do so because there is not a community to bounce off of anymore. With that said I'm expecting to release 2 more rides (probably) and then I'll be done with the game, apart from maybe revisiting it if I get bored of Planet Coaster.

I really love Marshmello atm. ugh so good.

People were taking it literally.

I agree with Mark Ben, your blogs have really helped me shape an idea of where I want to go in terms of Europe (and Asia) in the next 5 years, and your blogs are always a good fun to read through. Without them I'd have never heard of half the parks/attractions you've gone to, let alone some of the rides within! Can't wait for part 2

Yeah we saw the mist not working and the swinging axes were on off throughout the day. What we really need is the speakers back in X

I agree with every comment made, and also relate to it in some form or another. One thing I also had to follow up with, much like Charlie is the fact my brother was the highest scoring student in my school for GCSEs. This was a challenge for me however I made my teachers (who'd listen) well aware of the fact I am not academic and have not the capabilities of my brother, however I still passed all my exams, which in turn is putting pressure on my even less academic little brother, who (in the nicest of ways) is pretty thick when it comes to education stuff. He crumbles like me and it's pretty bad to watch, even from my point of view. As well as this, I have experienced what JoshC had. In my year 10 maths class (set 2 of 10) we were told to take our maths exams a year early, so we could potentially do an extra GCSE come year 11, however not being the very top left us with some mediocre teachers, a mediocre class and a rushed syllabus. If you didn't get an A then you'd have to resist The exam next year, as I did, and I got worse the second year because it just felt like a waste. Having said that, the best teachers went to those in the very top set, and the D grade set, ensuring as many people got garunteed A's/passes as possible, and practically forgetting the trailers. Education these days highlights corruption at its finest and unfairness to almost every group of student, and as seen here, it can leave everyone very upset.

Just in general. At the moment in this thread I agree that we're seeing a wonderful flurry of nice comments, I guess I jumped the gun (ha) a little on that one.

The whole schooling system in the UK is a diabolical mess. Give teachers their due, they have a lot of rubbish thrown at them (pun intended not pun) but the system needs complete reworking. Yesterday I literally started sobbing in the middle of school because I just cannot deal with it right now. The amount of pressure one of my teachers is putting on me is agonizing, and I can not cope. School in this current situation in the UK is to industrial, and has hardly changed from the system installed during the victorian era. The funny thing is, most teachers will agree too, that the education system needs changing because it simply does not work with our constantly progressing society. The best education in the world belongs to the Scandinavians. You don't start school until 6, and it's only compulsory until he age of 16. Even then, classes are narrowed down (in some situations, the main example being used is Northern Sweden) to just 2 and a half days a week, with no exams, and unique grades delivered to each student in each subject. Classes are kept the same, however students can switch as they please, and classrooms are specialized and multi function allowing students to learn how to use work spaces, and also get comfortable with one particular, familiar classroom. The result? One of the highest populations going into uni, some of the highest grades in education, and in turn creating one of the least corrupt societies on the entire planet. Their society works like clockwork, and it's brilliant from the very bottom. I wish one of the *****s in government would look at what works outside of this crumby island and see that the school system needs changing, because if people who have even one hurdle thrown at them tumble in this country, due to the militarized schooling system, something is very wrong and needs to be changed.

There's a faint sort of breathing/panting noise in the tunnel, like the girl trying to escape the crypt in the story. I can see why enthusiasts have a slight bitter taste when it comes to th13teen. It was promised as something different primarily, and like said above it has countless missed opportunities. But so does every single ride ever. It's nothing special for th13teen. Think about it for 1 second, I could roll off an example for every single ride in existence with missed opportunities in both theming and the ride design. What th13teen has, it executes (in my opinion, don't trigger urself) brilliantly. It's my favourite ride in the whole of the UK for the reasons listed above, as well as numerous others, which I'm not going to waste time explaining becuase I'll probably get gunned down. Th13teen = Best ride

It's essentially privately owned material so I'd assume so. It's probably also included in some terms and conditions you're supposed to acknowledge as you enter the park.

When the Swarm first opened, my second trip to it involved taking my little brother (a coaster virgin then) to the park with a group of family friends. He was petrified. Literally ready to cry, but peer pressure forced him onto doing the swarm the minute we got into the park. I remember him quivering as the ride dispatched, but re-entering with the wildest grin on his face. My first inversionynesesnensyesseyeyssness coaster was Nemesis Inferno, and I still remember that well. Like Lewum said, I peed myself a little (legit) but the experience was so fun I did it 4 more times that day. Less then 5 years later I'm a fat enthusiast and continue to regularly ride huge rides and sought out bigger and better places to go. Once you get that kick done with, you're a free wolf.

Not sure if it's news but Rameses reopened Saturday.

Sooo who knew Saw could close due to high winds...? Not me... Or Lewumbrajumbos. Didn't stop the ride team from doing a great job though.
