  1. Comparethemeerkat.com of course Samurai at thorpe or Samurai at chessington??
  2. I know the perfect trap to replace the samurai theme! There is a trap in saw called the carousel trap and that would fit samurai perfectly !
  3. lol I totally agree with you about 1D. Horrific band. Money grabbing little twits! So glad merlin has not invited them to a opening of a new ride. Cant stand one direction fans since half of them are 12 and under. THERE ARE 12 YEAR OLDS ON TWITTER FOR FECK SAKE -.-
  4. I think Samurai should be taken to Mondial and stripped down and repainted back to the colours it was in at chessington and try to tie it into SAW a little bit. Maybe make the restraints blood red and bring back the lights they had on the gondolas and hub whilst it was at Chessington but make them LED lights so it looks really nice.
  5. I think loggers should be kept for a long time since it's a really good flume. Shame that thorpe are letting it get run down
  6. Has anyone noticed that Rage is basically a travelling coaster? It's built on a metal base which means if you put the station onto the same base it could easily travel? Was it made like this so it could be moved easily about or what?
  7. Was looking at smiler videos on youtube and in the comments on one of them someone said that the smiler should have a backwards row. I think that would be a terrible idea it would just be a gimmick also it would be quite painful since you'd be resting on the safety bars whilst going up the lift hill which would also add even more stress to the safety bars. What does everyone think about the idea? (I think I know what everyone thinks )
  8. That sls and slr was beautiful *heart eyed emoji* fab report are the formula 1 cars big or small in real life?
  9. I went on stealth as my very last ride which must have been about 5 minutes before 10pm. And I went to summer nights on the friday 29th
  10. Ah good idea! The queues werent that bad all it was that I just had to wait two trains and bam I was on but with saw there was a queue up the top of the stairs but only for the baggage and they said to everyone without bags just go to the gates
  11. Why does everyone wanna make rides all virtual and stuff?! There was a thing on a few years back and they were saying about making the rides fully computer controlled and if the riders were scared they'd slow it down which is slilly! The whole point of the big scary rides is to push yourself to ride them! Not for me thanks I'll happily stick to riding the actual coaster since you feel the wind in your face, the forces, the insane airtime you get on some rides!
  12. Shall do a report for the summer nights The first ride I went on was Nemesis Inferno as I didnt get on it during the day as the queue was bloody massive!! So I headed for front row and she rode really well! Queue was a bit long since it seemed loads of people headed for it! Then I went onto SAW and saw at dusk is really amazing! Then it was back on SAW again haha! Then I headed over to stealth for front row again (I queue up for front row everytime now!) and it was awesome! Then thorpe park really became a paradise in the dark it was dead and I headed for SWARM and it was a short queue and I queued up for the 5th row and it was amazing! I then headed to SAW and It was amazing! The atmosphere of the ride at night is super creepy espically with Billy the puppet popping up every so often and talking to you! Then I headed to swarm and went on it backwards and I forgot how scary it actually is on the lifthill there is nothing to hold onto except the bars but you get an amazing view! Then I headed over to stealth and the ride crew were really intracting with the riders and people queueing they turned off the countdown and the lights so people didnt know when it was launching haha! Overall summer nights is a brilliant event but I do think they should only sell a set amount of tickets on the summer nights (say like 1,000 on friday and 500 on saturday) but overall its a bloody wonderful event and I look forward to attending next year
  13. I think adding quantum and vortex to the line up would be awesome though !
  14. mannings are one of the top funfair familes in england. Their waltzer is one of the best. A lot of their rides including kiddes rides, pirate ship and many more smaller rides and also Showtime afterburner attend the winter wonderland in hyde park!
  15. Loggers does not seem to be working too well recently. On friday the boats got jammed and people had to get off and they gave everyone on the ride and in the queue and they gave us all a water ride priority pass and then on Saturday I went round once and since the ride was empty they let me go again and it got jammed again at the bottom of the first lift and then eventually got reset and we got an all ride priority pass! Fair play to the staff they were very nice and let us know what was going on the whole time! Anyone know why its playing up a bit?
  16. I rode the swarm today a few times and during the day when it was the busiest they were trying to launch the train within 15 seconds and they kept it going for a good while!
  17. a fairground ride?! There are very few travelling rapid rides only about 5 in the world! They should have just got a twister and made it look flood damaged
  18. Guys I'm FINALLY gonna brave Rush tomorrow and I was wondering if I pull my safety bar in as far as it can go (pin myself in) I should feel very safe and secure right?
  19. but what they are doing with these giant loops its like everyone would be in a uproar if merlin thought "lets shove a miami trip into every uk park!" It would cause world war 3. The US has tons of these giant loops already! I prefer originality which is why our parks are good!
  20. Heres some news on the new rides for 2015. As much as I love Funfairs a giant loop does not count as a coaster! Its a flat ride! http://www.coaster101.com/2014/08/28/multiple-six-flags-parks-add-larson-giant-loops-2015/
  21. compared to Colossus SAW is the smoothest ride ever. Honestly Colossus is the roughest thing ive ever been on
  22. What age do you need to be to work on rides? I'm 17 and I'm hoping to apply for a job in the next season!
  23. I shall be at thorpe park this weekend from friday till saturday as I shall be going to summer nights. Hotel guests get a second day free on park and also they get ERT. What time does the ERT start and what rides are usually open for ert?
  24. I was just wondering does Detonator give you that pain in your feet once you get off like some other floorless rides? Like when I go on an extreme orbiter if I dont rest for a couple of seconds before I jump off I get an awful pain in my foot!
  25. Rush and Slammer would be pretty good since they make people pull some funny faces
