Yay for theming, nay for an IP. It does seem that Thorpe are putting an effort into the aesthetics and general immersion of this attraction, but it's disappointing that they have almost limited themselves and haven't came up with an original idea that they're often more than capable of executing. Again, I can't help but think that the dip in numbers that The Swarm apparently caused/didn't help has put the park off of doing their own thing for the forseeable future.

So I've been on the forums for a year today. In the (kind of) twelve months I've been here I have seen the forum grow and there really are some lovely people on here and going to a meet was one of the best decisions I've made and I do not regret joining TPM at all. However, I have also seen the forums themselves become slightly... Hostile. Don't get me wrong the place isn't all doom and gloom, but it seems that recently some members have been pretty much down one another's throats and it's kind of sad and disheartening to see. People have been blasting others' opinions and views, and many have just been constantly complaining over almost anything, from an unjustistifiable number of rides being closed, to the size of some plates?! I am not trying to act like some moral crusader or like I'm a perfect and rational being who can do no wrong, nor am I really 'complaining' about this nor does it 'anger' me, I find this quite sad and I just thought this was the most apt thread. TPM is great socially, but online, the sense of community that I encountered a year ago today seems to have diminished in such a considerably short period of time, which really is a shame. (Sorry for major lameness)

It is fairly busy, but tolerable. Have done all coasters but Saw (closed lol sorry Peaj) and The Swarm, we aren't really in a rush for ridecounts and stuff so it's nice enough. Currently queueing for Detonator which said 15 minutes, although is more like 10.

It's a shame that so many rides are closed, however I don't know the engineering schedules nor how much maintenence the rides receive or are due. The whole confusion as to what is actually opening is mildly annoying but I'm going anyway so I shan't even attempt to complain. I also don't understand why some people are doubting or trying to go against what Dan has been saying (not necessarily in or even limited to this topic), it's evident that he knows what he's talking about for whatever reason and you're just looking silly.

I actually really enjoyed today, it really was what I needed in all honesty (lame but true). Thank you Peaj for organising it as usual, and thanks to Adam for giving me a lift, it was nice to have a lie in of sorts for once! I definitely had forgotten what fun meets were and it was nice to sit down and have a meal with a few people afterwards, I hope to see a lot of you again in April Also, pluk is now my least favourite mod after the incident in Devil's Creek. I still feel dizzy.

It's not a case of people not dealing with opposing opinions as many members do have opposing views and such, it's more your hypocritical nature. Don't get me wrong there are other people who do it, I myself was a HUGE hypocrite at certain points. Despite you 'just going to ride Stealth', you are increasing the park's footfall which tells them the event/place is popular and if people still pay the charge that implies there's no problem.

I'm sorry LC, but I'm annoyed by this. Have you no integrity? You have been making a big song and dance about how Merlin are money grabbers, how Thorpe won't be seeing another penny from you, that you will certainly not be visiting this event as the £5 charge and 2 hour or whatever journey is unjustifiable and then you go and visit for the creds. Oh sorry I forgot it's fine because you bought your MAP with Tesco vouchers etc. Etc. So really you aren't giving them any money, right? I seriously do not understand why you have made your disdain at this 'event' so clear when you go and visit anyway for the prospect of a good ride count! If Thorpe are that bad to you, and Merlin are that bad a company, do not give them your custom.

I hate it when people use racist and homophobic (amongst others) terms casually. My own friends call eachother N-words and call things or people 'gay' or a 'f*ggot' if it's 'stupid' or they've said or done something 'stupid'. I confronted one of my friends yesterday after she and another friend were continually dropping the N-word casually in a jokey manner and she just laughed at me, incinuating that it's ridiculous and pathetic that I was 'offended' and that 'it's okay' as she herself is mixed race when it really isn't and because I've voiced my views on casual racism and homophobia before too I'm seen as a bit of a joke. Things like that just really upset me I don't understand how people can make such offensive comments so casually, it genuinely is shocking for me. Ethnicity and homosexuality shouldn't be used as an insult; whether it's a joke or not.

I have sat in my lab thinking about this, and I've weighed things up, and it makes sense, how could I have been so stupid! No wonder Alex was so keen to bring tommy up, only 1 mafia player has to make it, so through sacrificing the louder, more obvious tommy who was an easier target- he's slipping through the net. Also I still haven't any idea who his character is... Could he not think of a guise?! ##unvote

Alex has been just as keen as Tommy was now I think about it- and he hasn't really introduced himself either... But would he go as far as drawing attention to and ridding of someone who was on his side? I'm not so sure. Matt, on the otherhand, has only been voting- and he was the last to vote for Tommy, as though it was his attempt to prove himself... If he was innocent then surely he'd see that Tommy was basically dead, and not bother... Hard to call, but I'm tipping more towards Matt here, pluk drew my suspicion. Apologies if you're innocent, but it all seems logical... Seeing as Alex was onto you along with pluk.. ##vote Matt Creek
